Chapter 86

I looked up as I watched the sky become extremely dark.
"We would have had a lot of fun tonight, Chloe," I said trying not to feel anxious as I was already feeling anxious.
I sat up on the floor, looking at every side as I remembered Chloe. I growled and waved my head.
"I am going to take more life of human." I said."You are more than a human to me. No human has the chance to stand before me. If I was a human, I would choose you to be my friend."
Some minutes later, I laid back on the floor and murmured a word, "They are going to pay."
Immediately after uttering the word, I slept off. Early the following morning, I woke up and went out of the place which I house myself and went to stand on the road.
I waited there for some minutes but no one came out of their various houses.
"Why is it that no one is out today" I asked myself. "Are they all trying to escape from me?"
I held my stomach and took a breath in. I waited for a few minutes again, but no one came out.
"I feel no one wants to come out of their houses," I said to myself.
I looked up, and immediately my clothes changed into a beautiful one. I smiled as I held the hem of the garment.
"I really wanted to change my garment," I said smiling as I looked at the garment.
My stomach gave a rubble sound which showed that I was hungry.
"I won't spare anyone, even my immediate family," I said, looking up.
The sound my stomach was making made me feel uncomfortable as I couldn't see anyone come out of his /her house. I decided to go to the next street, which is the street where my human family lives. I thought of my human family and smiled.
"I do not care who I see on the way," I said to myself laughing.
"I wouldn't have become like this if they didn't throw me out of the house." I shook my head as I thought of Drake.
I became remorseful as I thought he had no idea of them throwing me out of the house to live on the street. I waved the pity feeling off my head as the rumbling sound in my stomach became louder. I raised myself up and flew into the air to the next street.
Getting to the next street, I got myself down, standing on the floor, and all the birds flew away, being afraid of me. I looked around and couldn't see anyone.
"Keep going." I heard something say within me and kept walking.
I got to a place and saw Uncle Bob playing with Drake who had now grown and smiled. I was about running when I heard him call.
"Sophia!" He called and I turned to look at him.
He got up from where he was with Drake and walked to me.
"Don't you come near me," I warned and he stood firm where he was.
"I need to speak with you." He said, and I held on to my stomach, looking at Drak,e, who kept staring at me.
"You can speak to me now," I said with authority.
"I didn't know that your parents sent you out of the house," He said and I smiled.
"They did." He looked at me and shook his head.
He spoke some words into Drake's ear and he ran off.
"Have your seat." He said, pointing to a side in the bench, and I agreed to sit.
"I am sitting," I said.
Drake returned with a bag, which he gave his father, who opened it and brought out my favorite snack. I shook my head as I didn't want it.
"Eat it to regain a little strength." He said and I took it from him and ate.
After eating the snacks, I had a little strength.
"Better?" Uncle Bob asked, and I nodded, looking at me.
He smiled and stared into my eyes.
"As I was saying," He said.
"I didn't know your parents sent you out because of that baseless accusation." He paused and looked into my eyes before continuing.
"I really felt sad when I knew this and convinced them that it was probably a lie." He said.
"We all went out looking for you but none of us saw you." I looked at him and bowed my head.
"Is that all?" I asked.
"Yes, it is." He replied. I took a deep breath and looked at him.
"Will you come back to us?" He asked.
"We are going to spoil you with all the welcome gifts." I shook my head, imagining if it was the Uncle Bob who I was always scared of before.
"Sophia!, She is Sophia, right?" Drake asked his father and he nodded his head.
"Yes, she is." He said.
Drake moved close to me and I barked.
"Do not!" I barked and he stood still.
"You've said yours, and it's good," I said, facing Uncle Bob.
"I would like to let you know who I am." I paused and looked at Uncle Bob.
"I am a vampire," I said.
"Looking to revenge the death of her best friend." Drake moved close to his father and held him tight.
"I do not understand." Uncle Bob said and I growled.
They both closed their ear as I growled and I ran back to the start of the street before releasing myself to the air. I flew to the place I had made for my house.
Getting into the place, I saw animals inside and remembered that I had forgotten to seal the house before going to search for a meal. I looked around to see if anyone I could feast on their blood was around as I was still hungry, but I didn't find anyone. I looked at the animals and growled making them all jump out of the place.
Seeing that they were all out of the place, I entered into it and sealed the door. I lay on the ground and closed my eyes.
"I am sorry Chloe. I couldn't harm my family.". I said. "You were right when you said that I was behaving like humans do."
"I still feel indebted to my family although I am not human," I said.
"I couldn't do what I said I was going to do. What type of friends am I?"
