Chapter 91

"Chloe, I am now living in a house," I said looking up.
"I would have wanted you to be by my side now but you are gone. You left me alone in this cruel world. I hope Donald still remains kind to me so that I don't get angry and kill him." I looked around the room and raised my hands in the air.
"This would have been a good time to spend with you, but now you are no more," I said, feeling sad.
Minutes later, I heard a knock on the door and wondered why he knocked on the door when I didn't close the door. I walked to the door and walked out of it.
"Yes," I said folding my arm to him.
"You look really serious," He said, and I breathed in.
I was not happy that I got interrupted speaking to Chloe's spirit.
"I would like to tell you the time for the evening meal so that you won't be late." He said and I nodded. He lowered his head to me.
"What's your name?" He asked and I smiled.
"Sophia Chloe," I said and he looked at me once again.
"Sophia Chloe, that looks like the name of two people." He said and I nodded.
"What is your last name?" He asked and I smiled.
"Chloe," I said but he shook his head.
"Chloe or Cole?" He said straightening himself up.
"Chloe!" I said. He looked at me again.
"How can your father's name be Chloe?" He asked.
"I chose to bear my mother's name," I said and he nodded.
"Alright!" He said and thought for a while.
"Speaking about your parents," He said and was about to continue but he looked at me.
I wasn't feeling at ease so he decided that we go talk in the living room.
Getting to the living room, he pointed to a couch.
"You may take your seat." He said. I took my sit on the couch, and he smiled, going to the couch, which was opposite to the one where I was sitting.
"Alright." He said and I looked at him.
"Talking about your parents," He paused then looked into my eyes.
"Where are they?" I looked at him and gave a sad look so as to convince him of what I was about to say.
"They are dead," I said and looked down.
"I am really sorry for your loss." He said and I shook my head.
"Do not worry," I said looking down.
"Take it easy." He said and I looked up.
"May I ask you another question?" He asked, and I nodded, still keeping the sad face.
"Your parent's family, why didn't they take care of you?" He asked, and I thought about the answer to give him.
"They told me that I killed my parents. They sent me out of the house, threatening to kill me by burning the house up.
"While you are inside!" He exclaimed and I nodded.
"And that's the reason I ran out of the house. I could only find the cave where the people I came with live in but I was shocked when they refused that I live with them." I said.
"A cave!" He exclaimed and I nodded.
"Now I know the reason they refused to accept that you are one of them." He said and I looked at him.
"What reason?" I asked. He looked at me and smiled.
"They do not want to have to dwell in a cave as they are doing." He said and I nodded.
"You may be right," I said smiling. He looked at me once again.
"May I ask a question?" He asked and I smiled.
"You may ask," I said smiling.
"What do you like doing best." He asked and I forgot myself.
"I love racing and jumping," I said then came to my senses.
I opened my eyes wide as I remembered what I always do with Chloe.
"Alright, that's nice. I am going to teach you the art of drawing." He said, and I smiled, remembering how we were taught in the orphanage.
 I nodded to him.
"Another question." He said and I looked at him.
"Go on," I said wondering why he was asking me questions.
"What class were you able to finish?" He asked and I thought of the class I was with Chloe in the orphanage.
I told him of the class I was with Chloe not letting him know that I didn't finish the class.
"Alright, that will be all for now." He said.
"Alright." I said, then stood up to walk into my room, but he called me back.
"I told you that I came to let you know the time you should come down for the evening meal." He said and I nodded.
"I was carried away with the questions I was asking." I smiled and stared at him.
"There is a wall clock in the room so you can check to know when it is time." He said and I nodded.
"You should come down for the evening meal by 7pm." I nodded then went back to the room.
Getting to the room, I looked up to see the wall clock. I turned to the door and walked to it. I shut it close.
"I must get down in some hours time," I said then remembered what Donald's mother said to me.
"How can the woman think I am going to make advances to her son," I said.
"Donald is being kind enough to know about me." I went to the bed and sat on it.
"I am not human but a vampire, so I can't fall in love with a human but my fellow vampire," I said to myself.
"I don't know where my fellow vampires are." I got up from the bed and began to pace the room.
"The world is being cruel to us," I said remembering how Chloe was killed.
I felt the urge to growl and ran to cover my mouth with the bedspread so I don't attract Donald to the room. I growled on the bedspread, and the bed shook.
