'They actually were thinking that my Chloe was a demon when they killed her.' I thought and cried. For the past three years that I had been living with Donald, I had done away with drinking blood every when I was thirsty for blood. I looked around to find anything I could use to hurt myself but could not find anything. I lay on the bed as I thought of everything that happened for the three years I had stayed there. I remembered when I began to fall in love with Donald, although he was human, and how I decided that vampires could be in love with humans. I didn't let him know because of what his mother told me about not falling in love with him. His mother came to the house anytime she wanted and called us her granddaughters, which made me wonder why she called us that, but at school, they called us Donald's sister. This made me wonder if Donald was her son or grandson. My doubt got cleared when I overheard some people saying that Donald didn't want to fall in love and didn't want the society to ask where he got his children from which was the reason he called Dera and I his sister but his mother chose to call us her granddaughters as Donald was her only child. This very day as I thought of it. I became more angry. I wasn't angry that someone upset me but was angry because Donald had always been good to me but wouldn't accept me if I told him that I was a vampire. I stood up from the bed and angrily paced the room not wanting to growl. "My stay here is almost ending," I said. I heard a knock on the door and immediately went to open it, not caring to ask who it was, and saw Dera staring at me. I was gripped with fear thinking of the reason she came to my room. 'Does she know that I am a vampire?' I asked myself thoughtfully. "Dera!" I finally called, giving a weak smile. "Why does your face look weak?" She asked, touching my cheek, and I shook my head, giving her a slight smile. I knew why my face looked weak. I knew it was because I was stressing myself by thinking. "May I come in?" She asked minutes later when I didn't give an answer to her question. "Yes, come in," I said, then ran to the bed in order to lay it properly. "Sophia!" Dera called while I busied myself arranging the bed and I smiled. "Yes Dera," I said and continued arranging the bed. "You look stressed out," She said. I was done arranging the bed so I sat on it and went to shut the door close. "You may have your seat," I said, pointing to the bed, and she sat down, looking at me. "You look stressed out." She said and I gave a sigh. "Alright, let's go wash your face." She said, getting up to her feet, but I shook my head. "No do not worry, I will do it myself," I said and walked to the bathroom. I used a wiper that I had in the pocket of my gown to wipe off the dirt that accumulated on my face, making me look stressed. "I won't think about it again," I said to myself and walked out of the bathroom. "Your face does not look wet," Dera said and I smiled. "I dried my face in the bathroom before coming out," I said, and Dera nodded, looking around. "You kept your towel in the bathroom." She said and I nodded. "Alright." She said. I took my sit next to her on the bed, and we spoke about many things. Minutes later, she announced that she was leaving the room and I sighed. "Where will you go next?" I asked and she smiled. "My room." She said and turned to look at me. "Have you heard that Donald wants to bring a house help to this house?" "When?" I asked and she smiled. "Next week I guess," She said. "He said that he wants to get a house help but I disagreed." "Why did you have to disagree?" I asked and she sighed. "There's a secret I have been keeping within." She said. "What secret?" I asked, expecting an answer, but she didn't reply. "I will see you later." She said and walked out of the room. I looked at her and wondered what secret she could be hiding that she wouldn't want a house help. I buried my head in my palm as I thought. "Sophia!" I heard Dera call my name as she came back into my room. "Yes, Dera," I said, looking at her as she held a card in her hand. She walked close to me and gave me the card. "I want you to keep this secret for me. " She said, urging me to open the card and leave the room, shutting the door behind her. I opened the card and froze minutes after reading what was in the card. She had written that she loved Donald and has been keeping it for sometimes and won't like any other person been around him. I sighed and bowed my head after recovering. "He can still love you because you are human but can't love me," I said with. my head bent. "Trust me, I am going to keep your secret safe." I looked to the door and shook my head as I wondered how we fell in love with the same man. "My time here on earth is limited," I said to myself as I could feel the pains that I never felt before. "I am Sophia Adams, not Sophia Chloe," I said and stamped my feet on the floor. I lay on the bed and groaned, using the bath spread to cover my mouth. My past memories came back to me as I continued groaning.
