Claire POV ~
“Bye dad!”. I said and alighted from the car as we reached the school gate.
“Bye honey, I will come and pick you up by two okay?”. Dad said and without waiting for me to reply, he drove off. Well someone don’t want to be late to work i thought as I made my way into the school.
Since dad has dropped me off earlier than the normal time, I decided to walk majestically since I was not in a hurry. As I pass the parking lot, I looked at the space where the Avila’s park their cars and noticed that today cars where entirely different than yesterday’s own. Instead of sports cars, today where G wagons of different in colors. Damn this people where swimming in money. A single G wagon cost about three hundred thousand dollars and there are ten of them here. So that’s like three million dollars parked in their school parking lot. Just how rich are this people I thought to myself.
Since there is still about thirty minutes before the first class, I decided to take a walk around the school garden. It’s was either that or the school library.
I went to the garden and saw a lot of people already there most of which where couples making out without the care of the world. Well that’s mean that option has been canceled. Let with no option, I made my way to the school garden but it’s was twenty minutes to time before I reached there. So I decided to just borrow a book and go and read it in class. I took the book “the blink of an eyes”. It’s a science fiction about an American genuine Seth who helped an Arabian princess escape from getting married to a man old enough to be her grandfather. This is actually the sixth time that am reading it but am still very much in love with the book and looking forward to read it.
As I made my way out of the library, I collided with someone and the book fell off my hand.
“Am sorry!”. Both of us said and before I could bend and pick up the book, the girl whom I collided with have already picked up.
“Here you go!” The girl said in an angelic voice and I look up and lo and behold it one of the Avila’s. One of the two girls from my class in particular.
“Thank you!”. I whispered at her not knowing what to say to her.
“No need to thank me it’s my pleasure, by the way I love your shoes”. She sincerely replied me. I was so touch that an elite like her will comment of my shoes and that’s when I looked at hers and realized that she it’s wearing an off white sneakers. I know those shoes, when it’s came out, people went crazy for it. It’s was a limited edition and cost about five thousand dollars.
“Thanks and I love your too”. I gave her a small smile as i responded. Personal, am surprised at why she is talking to me because base on what Ashley told me yesterday is that they as in the Avila’s hardly talk to people but here is one of them making small talks with me. I knew there is a reason why I woke up happy today.
“By the way is that the blink of an eyes in your hands?”. She asked excitedly. Well ladies and gentlemen, I think I just found another fan like me. I nodded my head.
“Omg! I love the book so much. It’s so unique and out of the world. Have you read before or this your first time?”. She continued with her excitement.
“Nope! It’s my sixth time of reading but I can’t get enough of it.” I responded now that am more free with her. The truth is if you want to bring me out of my shell, use novels as your bait. My friends back in Australia use to tell me that I can be kidnapped by being lured by novels. I laughed at what they said although it’s very much possible.
“Wow sixth time? I hats great. I have read it three times and will have read it more but I got to watch the film”.
I never knew the film it out because I remember checking it on Netflix and YouTube but it was it available. “ I have never watch the film, I didn’t know that the film for it is out”. I explained.
“It’s is available. But inform of a diskette and it’s copies where limited so it’s got sold out after being out for twenty four hours. But I can’t lend you mine one of this days”. She said still maintaining a smile on her face.
I made a mental note on my head to always dress fine to school. Because I didn’t understand why this girl it’s here talking to me as if we have been friends for people. People passing on the hallway where also giving us surprise looks. I guess it’s not everyday they see one of the Avila’s talking to just anybody.
“I will really love that if it won’t be a bother to you that is”. I said gratefully because I will trade my kidney to watch the film and here it’s is being offered to me for free. Am a fool if I say no.
“Of course it won’t be a bother at all. I will bring it to school one of this days. By the way I didn’t get your name.” She further inquired.
“Am Claire Hudson” I introduced myself to her.
“ well Claire it’s a pleasure meeting you, Am Alissa Gray”. She said and gave me her hands for sake. Which I did and soon the bell rang for the first period.
“Well that’s the bell. Let’s get to class”. She said and lead the way to class since we are classmates. As soon we entered, she went to seat with her family while I went and sat near Ashley who was looking at me wondering why I entered the class together with one of the Avila’s.
“I will tell you later!”. I mounted to Ashley you then nodded her head and then turned her attention to the board.
