Claire POV ~
Once I got out of the principal’s office, I let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding. I can’t believe I just spoke to the might Keira Gray Avila.
I called my mom and she picked at one dial.
“ hello Claire! Why are you calling me during school hours? I hope everything is alright?”. Mom asked as soon as she picked the call.
“Everything is fine mom. I want to ask for permission if I can follow Alissa home after school today.” I kept my finger crossed waiting to hear her response.
“Sure Claire! You can but don’t stay there for long and forget that you have a family”. Mom informed me.
“I won’t mom. Thank you. See you later I have to go back to class now!”. I said into the phone and cut of the phone.
At least I am done with that part. Now how am I going to inform Alissa that I am following her home when I refused to talk to her for three days now.
Well guess I don’t have to think about that because immediately the bell rang her lunch time, Alissa came and stood in front of me.
“Good morning Claire!”. Alissa greeted unsure if I will answer or not.
“Morning!”. I replied her.
“Thank the heavens you answered. That’s a good sign!”. Alissa murmured to herself.
“So my mom told me that you will be following me home. I will see you in the parking lot when school closes okay!.”Alissa said.
“Okay!”. I replied back. I hate it how things have become very awkward between us. I just hope we will be back to normal soon enough.
I excused myself and went to the washroom. As I stand in the washroom looking at the mirror, Becky entered and I choose to ignore her.
“Well! well! Well! If it isn’t the mighty Claire. How are you now? I heard that Xander dumped you.” Becky mocked me. I wanted to ignore her but I was tired of her bullying me.
“You must have heard wrong. After all, his mom just visited me this morning if you must know!”. I just at her. I could see her already turning red with furry.
“I don’t get it. Why do he like you? You are not even pretty enough. Alissa is supposed to be my friend. Xander is supposed to be mine! Until you came from no where and stole them me”. Becky bitterly said. It is now that I got the clear picture of everything. Becky obviously have a crush on Xander and is angry that he noticed me the new girl from no where while she has always right in front of him and he didn’t even notice her.
“Wow! Now I understand what is clearly on. All the harsh words, the bullying and the hatred. You even turn Ashley and co against me only because the guy you want likes me. Well to bad he is now mine and I am not planning on letting him go any time soon.” As soon as I finish talking, Becky attacked me. She grabbed my hair and pulled me into the wall.
“I am going to kill you today!.” She kept in screaming as she hits.
I felt some one pulled Becky off me.
“Let me go!” Becky kept on shouting but she was being held down.
I looked up and saw Ashley, Aisha, Ivory and Alissa. Ivory and Ashley where the ones holding Becky’m down.
“O my god! Look at what you did to her face.” Alissa shouted when she saw my face. She went over to Becky and gave her a heavy slap. Damn! Alissa definitely knows how to slap someone. I am not the one she slapped but I felt it in my bones. She left the mark of her hand on Becky’s face.
“I am going to make sure you get expel! Mark my words you crazy bitch!”. Alissa promised and without waiting for any of us to talk, she grab my hand and drag me out of the washroom.
Alissa kept on dragging me without saying anything. As much as I wanted to ask her where we are going, I am afraid to provoke her after seeing her in action so I just kept my mouth quite and continue to follow her.
We arrived at the school clinic. Alissa asked or rather commanded the nurse to treat me.
“Are you alright?.” Alissa asked me.
“I am fine. Thank you!.” I am really grateful for the slap she gave Becky. I am very sure that she will not forget about it any time soon.
“Good to hear that!. Listen Claire. I am Sorry for ghosting you last week. I understand why you are angry. We should have at least left you a message!.” Alissa said.
“It’s fine. I understand you have your reasons!.” I smiled at her. I decided to listen to mom’s advice and let go of all the anger I am feeling.
When school closed, Alissa and I head to her car when Ashley called me aside.
“Listen Claire, I am sorry for how I treated you. It was not my intention. I. Know it was wrong of me to chose Becky’s side just because we where friends for long. Do except my apology and the rest of us. And ask for Becky, sorry she acted this way. She has always had an unhealthy obsession with Xander who never took notice of her. Her parents have been informed of her actions and she will gone and so you don’t have to worry about her anymore.” Ashley stated.
“It fine Ashley. I am not angry.” I hugged and walk to Alissa who is waiting for me. I am happy that everything is finally getting into shape. I just hope things between Xander and I walk out.
“What did she want?.” Ashley asked me.
“She apologized for Becky’s behavior!.” I summarized all what Ashley has told me. Alissa drive out of the school compound with the other Avila’s kids ahead of us. They kept on driving as if they are going out of the town. We kept on driving until we reach an iron gate far away from town. The gate automatically opened it self. We drove in passing tall tress on both side. We soon reach a huge drive way with a water fountain in the middle.
Alissa and the rest drive in to the garage at the side of the house to pack their car.
When we got out of the car, I suck in my breath. This place looks like a company’s show house and not a family garage . There are more than a hundred cars park inside of here.
“Are this all your cars?.” I asked Alissa.
“Yeah! This are actually some of them!.” Alissa replied as if it is not a big deal.
“Some of them? How many cars do they own in general then.” I try to guess.
We came out of the garage and I froze when I saw the gigantic building before me.
“Are you alright? “ Alissa asked me when she noticed that I am not following her.
