Claire POV ~
I woke you feel very happy today. Maybe because today it’s not Monday. Probably that’s why. I got up from bed and decided to play the song “happy” by Pharrel Williams.

I sang along with the music as I dance around my room. It’s actually my best music when am in a happy mood. The songs I play depends on my mood. After singing and dancing for about thirty minutes, I decided it’s enough beverage I needed to dress for school.
Since am apparently in a good mood today, I decided to dress extra. I dump the blazers for a sleeveless sweater and instead of my usual sneakers, I decided to wear black bootys. I packed my hair into a doughnut and style my edges and then looked at myself in the mirror.
“Right Claire! You are good to go”. I said to myself and quickly applied some lipgloss and sprayed my favorite coco Chanel perfume.
I went downstairs and found my parents eating breakfast.
I rolled my eyes when I saw what mom made for breakfast. Her usually pancakes. Since I wasn’t in the mood of eating that, so I went into the kitchen and made myself cereal mixtures.
“Good dad! Mom!”. I created my parents and then sat down and started devouring my cereal mixture.
“Morning dear, you seem very happy today. Whatsup ?”. My dad asked.
“Nothing dad, are you trying to say that I don’t look happy always except today?”. I frowned at him.
“O come on! You know what your dad means. You are dressed extra today. You where even dancing before you came down for breakfast. Dancing on a school morning it’s pretty unusual of you!”. Mom pointed out.
“No reason, I just felt happy that all! No hidden agenda” I stated because I know my parents with wild imaginations.
“Really? I thought you have a crush on guy and you wanted to impress him”. Dad innocently said. I knew at the back of my mind that him and mom where thinking about that.
“Dad! Am actually not dressing to impress anyone. I just wanted to look good today. That’s all.”.
“Okay dear if you say so, I actually thought you got a crush that’s why. Like aren’t you tired of being single?”. My dad inquiried
“Like Seriously dad. We are back at this again?”. I folded my hands and sat up straight to look at him. Since we where in Australia, my parents have always being bugging me on why I don’t have a boyfriend.
“What! You can’t blame us, honey you are turning eighteen this year and not for once have you ever have a boyfriend.”. Mom defended her husband. Trust them to always gang up against me. And for god sake, I don’t think there is anything wrong with me being single. It’s a personal choice.
“Oh mom! Am I the only single eighteen year?”. I defended myself l.
“Well technically, you are the only that i who has never had a boyfriend”. Mom stated.
“That’s not true, look at ..” I paused and try to think of any of my mate that I know that has never been in relationship yet. Honestly speaking, I can’t recall if there is any. Lily and Joyce started dating since I’m middle school while Elsa started as soon we entered into high school. Then there is me, who have never ever dated anyone. It’s not as if I don’t want to, it’s just that I have not meet the right person for me. I don’t want to go although the stress of dating different people before finding the one. I want to wait until I find him first. Crazy I know but that’s what I want. Joyce usually used to stare that it was reading too much of fictions that made me think this way. And for all we know, she might be telling the truth.
“See! Even you can’t think of anyone else apart from yourself l. We are not actually forcing or pressuring to date, we just don’t want you to end of old with no love life except for cats like Taylor Swift.” Mom concluded with a joke and we all laughed. If I was to choice between a love life or end up like Taylor Swift, I will choice to end up like her with a the cats. She is one of my favorite musicians of all time.
Soon breakfast was over and dad decided to drop me off today.
