I have successfully avoided the Avila’s for complete two days now. I have already grown use to seating alone in the garden during lunch time.
Just like the last two days, I sat in the garden eating my burger with one head as I read a novel with the other hand. I heard foot step walking to me and without turning to see who it is, I already knew who it is. Even though I am angry with him, he still makes my heart beat fast.
“Claire!”. I heard him called out as he sat close to me. He kept some distance between two of us which I thank god for
“How are you Claire?”. He asked me but I kept silent and refused to look at him.
“I know that you have a lot of questions. I promise to answer all but please Claire talk to me!”. Xander pleaded in a broken voice. I can’t actually believe that I am allowing his words to enter into my head.
He still looks himself except he has eye bags in his eyes is as if he didn’t sleep for a week.
“Anything! Just please talk to me!”. Xander slowly said.
“I don’t have anything to say. I can’t feel with this anymore!”. I stood up to go. Xander stood up and wrap his hand around my waist from behind.
“Please Claire don’t leave me!.” Xander pleaded as tears from his eyes touch my shoulders. I kept blinking my eyes so that I can prevent my tears from pouring out.
“I am sorry Xander. I don’t think I can’t do this anymore. I feel like I don’t know you anymore!”. I cried out and left.
I didn’t wait for school to close and I rushed home.
Mom gave me some time to rest before she came and address me. I told her what happened.
“I don’t have anything to say. I just want to tell that relationship are not bed of roses. There are good times and there will be bad times too. Just because the bad times comes that does not mean you should forget the good times”. Mom advised me. I hugged her tight and thank her for her advice.
When mom and left, I sat and thought about what she said and made my decision.
I decided to listen to Xander’s explanation. The next just after the second period, I was called into the principal’s office.
I kept wondering what I most have possibly done as I walk into the office. I saw Xander’s mim sitting in one of the seat.
I greeted both her and the principal. I have an idea that Xander’s has something to do with this.
“Have a seat Claire, Mrs Avila here have something to tell you. I will you both enough privacy”. The principal said and left the office for me and Xander’s mom.
Xander’s POV~
I sat down and cried out when Claire left me. I felt pain in my chest as if I am going to explode. I understand why she acted the way she did. The Lunar eclipse came two days earlier than it is supposed to. I panic when it happened in her front. All through last week I have a feeling that there is a high chance I will loose her. But I kept praying to the moon goddess that a miracle should happen. But I guess that miracle do not exist.
I just lost my mate right after I have found her. I don’t know for how long I sat there on the ground until Allen and Josh found me.
They drove me home immediately. Once I reached home I went directly to my room and locked the door.

( Xander’s mom)
It pains me to my son In so much pain. I have watch me wait for his mate for two years. And now that he had found her, all this is happening. I know that it is high time I take the matter into my hands.
I wiped my tears as I thought of what to do.
I called the principal of the school and informed him that I will be paying a visit to his office tomorrow. The next day I made my way to the school without informing Xander or Alissa that I will be coming.
The principal called Claire to him office before he left us alone to talk.
“Good morning Mrs Avila” she politely greeted me. She is such a nice girl. I just hope things work out between her and my son.
“You don’t have to call me that. Just called me Kiera. That will do!”. I informed her.
“Okay Mam, Sorry I can’t call you by our name. I feel like I am disrespecting you.” She told me.
“As you wish then. Do you know why I am here?”. I asked her.
“No! But I guess it has to do with Xander.” She answered.
“Yeah you are right. Don’t worry, he didn’t send me here. He himself doesn’t know that I am here”. I explained to her. I don’t want her thinking that Alex send his mom to break on his behalf.
“Okay Mam” Claire said and kept quiet. I took that as an opportunity to talk.
“So by now you must have guess that there is something different about my family. As much as I like to tell you, it’s not my story to tell. I just want you to know that Alexander is actually very miserable right now. He hasn’t left is room since yesterday. I am very worried about him”. I informed her and I noticed that she has worries in her eyes. That’s a good sign. She has genuine feelings for him.
“So please I am here to beg you. Please listen yo his explanation first before you decide to break ties with him or not.” I pleaded with her.
“O Mam, you don’t have to beg me. I have already made up my mind to listen to him today. I was angry because he ghost me for a week without even a text message”. Claire explained to me. At this moment I thank the heavens that she is my soon to be daughter in-law. I just hope she accepts Xander for who he is.
“Well that’s great to hear. Xander didn’t come to school today. You can follow Alissa after school and come to our house.” I advised.
“I will call my mom and see if it’s okay with her.” Claire said.
“Okay the. Claire it’s fine meeting. I wish you and Xander the best of luck. And I personally wish you both will be right because I will love to have you ask a daughter in-law.” I tease her causing her to blush.
“It’s is nice meeting Mam!.” Claire said and left the principal’s office.
