I woke the next morning feeling refreshed with a big smile on my face. I very much still happy about all that happened yesterday.
I was able to have a conversation with The ALISSA GRAY, Becky apologized for her rude behavior, my crush gave me a lift and his hoodie to wear. And lastly, mom thinks it’s high time I learn now to drive. Yesterday feels like dream although.
After taking by bath, i out on my uniform and decided to put on the sweater instead of the blazers. And instead of my boring black plain sneakers, i decided to wear the Chanel sneakers I got from the store when mom and I went shopping.
I curled my ginger hair into waves and then applied a lipgloss and my perfume. Am good to go.
I was already at the elevator before I remembered that i didn’t carry along with me the package that am supposed to return to Xander. Damn! My whole effort would have been in vain. I rushed back into my room, I picked the package and made sure that the hoodie, umbrella and box of cupcakes where interred. I let out a breath of relief and made my way downstairs with the package in my hand.
“Good morning mom” I greeted mom as I dropped the package and start down.
“Morning dear, how was your night? what’s the package for?”. Mom inquired.
“Its was find thank you. My friend lend me an umbrella when it was raining yesterday, so I want to return it back”. I replied her omitting the part that the package belongs to a boy. I don’t want any drama this morning.
Mom looked at me as if she is about to say something. But just then, dad entered into the dining room.
“Good morning to my lovely dad!” I greeted him sweetly and from the corner of my eyes I can see him and mom looking at me in disbelief.
“Morning to you too my lovely daughter, guessing by the smile on your face you must have had a wonderful sleep right?”. Dad said and I nodded my head at him and gave him a bigger smile. Am actually acting over sweet because I want dad to allow me to learn how to drive.
Mom went into the kitchen to bring the breakfast.
“Please let it not be pancakes! Please God!”. Dad and I prayed silently.
And thank God it wasn’t pancakes. Mom made bacons and egg for breakfast.
“Why are both of you looking at the me like that?”. Mom questioned me and dad. And we both shook our head at the same time and then we started eating the food.
I ate mine in a hurry and when I was done, I cleared my throats and turn to look at dad.
“Dad, where you able to make a decision about our last night talk?”. I asked in a gentle voice.
“What talk?”. Dad replied cluelessly. I let out a silent growl. I can’t honestly believe this.
“The one that mom suggested, you know about me learning how to drive?”. I tried to remain of yesterday conversation. I very much sure he didn’t forget. He is just trying to provoke me.
“O! That conversation! well I thought about it and honestly…”
I block out what he saying because he is sounding as if he is going to say no.
“.. I think it’s high time your actually learn how to drive”. Dad said and gave me a wink. He obviously intentionally did that. Acting as if he is going to say no and made my spirit weak.
I screamed excitedly and got up from my seat and threw myself at him and hugged him tight.
“Thank you! Thank you! Thank you so much dad. I love you!”. I repeatedly said to dad as I drop kisses on his face. Dad hugged me back and drop a kiss on my forehead.
“Wow! I can feel of the love you give me. It’s was my suggestion at the first place but I didn’t even receive a thank you but look at how you are thanking your dad as if it wasn’t my doings.” Mom suckle as she frown her face and hold her hands across her chest. Dad and I both laughed at her expression.
“O mom! You are the best in the whole wide world. I love you so much.” I released myself from dads arms and walk up to mom and hugged her and then started dropping kisses all over face. She laughed and push me off her.
“Hey! Mr man, you kissed her aren’t you going to do the same thing with me?”. Mom questioned dad who stood and walked to her.
“O! I can do more than kissing to you my love!” Dad winked at mom who started blushing. God why do I always have to be around when this old people are going lovey dovey.
“O yeah! What can you do”. Mom challenged back at dad.
Dad licked his lower lips; “ I can make you scream..”
That’s it I had enough. Am not going to sit here and listen to how my parents make love.
“Dad!! My virgin eyes and ears please”. I screamed. Dad and mom laughed and gave a distance away from each other. Well that was after dad dropped mom a kiss on her lips.
“O! Mother Mary, nobody asked you to remain a virgin. You choose it miss virgin”. Dad said and I stick my tongue out at him. Some parents I got here.
And for the rest of the dinner, dad and mom hang up against me and kept on teasing me.
“So dad, when am I going for the driving lesson?”. I asked.
“Well I will make inquiries first to see when they are taking new intake and will get back to you”. Dad replied. I honestly can’t wait to start driving.
After breakfast, Dad dropped me up at the school gate.
“Lord I need your strength today!”. I prayed as I made my way into the school gate.
