Alissa POV
I was so excited when I heard that my brother finally found his mate. Xander has always been close off and has just little interaction with females so I know he is going to have a problem approaching his mate. If she is also a werewolf like it won’t have been difficult because we will have know what mate means. But unfortunate for him, his mate it’s a human. And humans are complicated especially when it comes to relationships. But Xander being Xander will definitely not asked for help and not the type who just helps anyone just like that without being asked.
All he did was to stare as her although lunch. If he continues at this rate, she is going to get married soon enough right under his nose. Since I know his pride won’t allow him to accept my help if I offered it just like that, I decided to share my ideas with mom whom promised to talk with.
After dinner that same day, he came into my room to ask for help. He looked as if he was about to sign a deal with the devil. I did agree to help not because anything but am tired of seeing him without a love life at all.
The next day, when we came to school quite early and Allen and I decided to take a walk. And just my luck, I saw Xander’s mate heading to the library. I excused myself from Allen and decided to follow determined to just get her name at least.
As soon as I opened the door to the library, I collided with someone and the book in the persons hand fell off and I picked it up and handed it over to her. And lo and behold it is Xander’s mate. This definitely not the way I imagine my first encounter with my future sister-in-law to be at all. But well being myself, I decided to take advantage of the situation.
I looked at her dressing from her uniform to her shoes. I must confess she has a good fashion sense at least I don’t need to work on that angle. I complimented her shoes and we soon starting talking about the book in her hand which is also one of my favorite novels. I think l like her already.
Just then the bell for the first period rang and since we where in thesame class, we went in together.
When we entered the class, she went over to seat with her friends while I sat with Ivory and Joe our pack members and my so called cousins.
“Wow! Seems like she has warm up to you already. That’s great” Joe said as he gave me a fist.
“So what’s her name?”. Ivory curiosily asked.
“Claire!”. I replied and we turn our attention to the board.

Soon it’s was lunch and I am so looking forward for it. I wanted to tease Xander.

We the Avila’s made our to the cafeteria and just before we could enter, Xander grabbed my hand and told the rest to go ahead. He then went on to drag me to an empty hallway.
We both stood silently looking at each other without the other one talking. I actually the reason why he drag me here but if he isn’t going to talk first, then I won’t too. After all I am doing him a favor and not the other way round.
“So..,” he started saying before talking a deep breath. I kept on silent and looking at him with a silly smile on my face.
“I saw you talking to her this morning, how info where you able to get?”. He finished up with a hard look on his face. Poor boy I know this is different for him. And I being a she devil, will make life for missable for him.
“ you know, you easily refer to her as “my mate” instead saying “her”. I wasn’t able to get much because the bell got rang but I was able to get her name. Her name is Claire. Plus she has an Australian accent so I guess that’s where she is form”. I explained. And I got a big smile from him. Which is a first because I can never remember Xander smiling at me. Never!”.
“One more thing too, she is a book lover like me too. We even have the same book interest. Maybe we have the same character too!!”. I screamed the last part in order to provoke him.
“God fobid!” He replied sharply and I laughed at his distress as we made our way to the cafeteria.
