Claire POV ~
It’s been twenty minutes since the school closed and that was no sign of dad anywhere. That’s a first because him or mom actually come as exactly two o clock to come pick me up. I decided to give him a call.
“Hello dad. Where are you? Or have you forgotten that you are supposed to pick me up? School has closed since twenty minutes ago”. I murmured into the phone as soon as he picked it up.
“O sweetheart! Am so sorry, an emergency meeting came up and it skipped my mind. Am so sorry. Let me call the driver to come and pick you up.”. Dad kept on apologizing for not being able to come.
“Dad it’s fine. I will just get a ride with one of my friends. No worries”. I replied him.
“Okay sweetheart, see you when I get home. I love you”. Dad said and cut off the phone I guess he most be very busy.
I told dad that I will pick a lift with one of by friends. I just remembered that they left already. In fact all most everyone has left. I look around to see if I can see a familiar face but I couldn’t so I decided to trek to the bus stop and go home myself.
Soon as I made my way out of the school gate and started trekking but since it was still the month of August, the cloud gathered and was turning darker every minute.
I started walking faster because I didn’t want the rain to meet up with me still on the road because I didn’t have an umbrella or raincoat with me.
Our school is a little bit far from the bus stop so it’s going to be a long walk for because I could not run while wearing this booty hills except if I wanted to end up with a twisted ankle or a fracture. If I had know it was going to rain, I would have agreed with dad to send his driver to come pick me up.
Soon rain droplets started falling and I knew that there is no way that I will reach home without getting beaten by the rain that is about to fall. Except a miracle happen.
I took a few more step, and next this I saw was a white G wagon stopping right next me.
“Get in” a voice from inside the car called. I looked into the car and lo and behold it is nobody other than my crush Xander Gray. I closed my eyes and opened it again just to make sure that it’s not one of my crazy imagination. Because I honestly can’t think of any reason why he is offering me a lift.
“Get in or do you want to get beaten by the rain?”. He asked as he looks directly at me. I actually hates the way he looks at me, it makes my heart beat in an abnormal rate.
I entered into the car and sat at the edge of the seat because I was a little bit wet and don’t want to spoil his seats. By the feeling of the seats, they most be made of real leather. The whole interior of the car screams “expensive”.
“You can seat up well the seat isn’t going to swallow you up”. He said to me with his voice full of amusement. I glad that am the subject of his amusement.
As soon as I sat comfortably, he ask me for my home address and I told and he started driving.
since I am wet, I started feeling cold and I don’t know how am going to tell him to on the warmer. But he most have noticed me shivering because he on the warmer and handed me a hoodie and the beacon on me to put it on. I put it on while blushing.
The whole ride to my house was silent. Only the slow music that was playing from the car radio could be heard. By the time we reached to my house, it was already raining very heavy. He parked his and turned to the back seat and handed me an umbrella. Wow I am beyond touch at what he is going for me.
“Thank you so much, am very grateful”. I said to him sincerely from my heart.
“No problem it’s my pleasure”. He replied and gave me a small smile and my stupid heart started beating very fast again. If I continue at this rate, I will soon get a heart attack I thought to myself. I alighted from the car and waved at him and he waved back but he didn’t leave until I entered into the house first before he drove off. What a true gentle man.

Xander POV
When we came to school this morning, I saw Alissa having a conversation with my mate in front of the library it seems as if they where getting along quite well. I couldn’t wait for lunch time so that I could ask her about their discussions.
As soon as it was lunch time, I drag Alissa to the side to inquire from her. Turns out she was able to exchange names with her.
Claire! That’s the name of my mate. When we went into the cafeteria for lunch, I staring at her when she suddenly turned and looked directly at me. I could feel my heart beating very fast. I gave a small smile and she immediately turned her face back to her friends.
It was closing time and it looks as if it’s about to rain. Check that, it has already started raining. While driving out to the school, I noticed Claire trekking. I frowned at it. Why is she trekking in this rain.
I stopped my car right next to her and asked her to get in. I later noticed that she was shivering so I on the car warmer and gave her my hood to put on since she is already wet.
Although the ride to her house, the car was very silent and I was holding the car wheels tightly because my wolf was tempting me touch her even if it’s for me to hold her hands but that will be very creepy.
We soon arrived at her house and it was already raining heavily so I gave her my umbrella to go with it. I waited until she entered into her house before I drove off.
That night, I went to sleep with a big smile on my face because at least there is a lot progress between me and my mate.
