Linh's POV... "Well, that wasn't so hard," Minh says. "Yeah," I say, though my eyes are still staring at the guy who is walking over to the treadmill. "You do know that eyes can tell," Minh says, while her lips forms a small smirk. I turn my head to see my sister smirking at me. And for a second I almost thought she was just gonna use the smith machine ASAP. From her look, I could tell she definitely has something in her mind. "It's quite obvious that you have a thing for him," Minh adds. Hearing that, I couldn't help but let out a nervous laugh. I kind of want to deny the fact that at this point, I'm afraid her statement would be correct since I did found that guy to look kind of cute. But hey, wake up, Linh. That doesn't necessarily mean that you're attracted to him, just because you did found him to look cute. "Your jokes could really be crazy," I say in a chill tone, not really wanting to think about his charm for a moment. Man, I just want to focus on getting rid of my creative blocks. I don't need to fill my head with a random guy I just saw at the gym a few minutes ago. "But seriously, Sis. I saw the way you looked at him was different," Minh says, again still smirking at me. Man, isn't she gonna use the smith machine sooner? "He did looked kind of attractive. But seriously, I have enough to think about with creative blocks. I'm not gonna think about him just because I found him to look kind of attractive," I state. Hopefully she would actually understand about how I personally think. "If you say so," Minh says as she walks over to the smith machine. Man, I almost thought she's gonna take another who knows how long for her use it. "I'll be doing some planks over there," I say. Knowing that my job here is done, I plan to return to my workout. "Sure," Minh says as she starts to set up the smith machine. I walk back to my yoga mat and get into a plank position. It's been so long since the last time I did a plank, I feel like starting all over again. Before, I could actually do a 3 minutes plank at some points, but now I think I need to start over and start with a minute. Well, they say practice makes perfect, and I'll practice all over again to regain that strenght. A few hours later... 10:30 PM... I'm editing a video in the living room. While my mom is already asleep, Hoang is setting up his alarm clock, while Minh is brushing her teeth. Being alone in this quiet living room, I let my mind get lost with the peace as I continue to think about inspirations for my contents. After two hours of working out at the gym today, surprisingly, I found myself to feel so much energized, it's like I just got a full recharged. Man, for a moment that post-workout feeling was almost burried away in my memories. Yet today, it's like all those feelings are coming back, really giving me a good vibe which I haven't felt for a while. Other than that, somehow I also feel that I got more inspired after working out, which really helped with my creative blocks. "You're not sleepy yet?" Minh asks as she walks up to sit next to me on the couch. "I'm almost done editing. I'll go to bed soon," I say, with my vision still focus on my phone. "Well, Hoang won't be going to the gym tomorrow. Instead, he'll go for a morning run at 6 AM tomorrow," Minh says. Well, that explains why he set up an alarm clock all of a sudden. "I was wondering if you would want to hit the gym with me tomorrow?" Minh asks. I had a feeling she was gonna ask me that question, knowing that Hoang will be skipping gym for a morning run, which means that he won't be able to go with her. Growing up together, I knew Minh well enough to know that she prefer to go anywhere with a companion to not get bored. Thinking of the gym, my mind suddenly gets excited at the thought of an energetic workout in mind. Maybe it's time I should really start being consistent again with working out, knowing that it's a good habit worth maintaining for. When I was a teenager, I remember how I would always feel relief after a hard workout, despite often feeling stressful at my family situation at the time. In other words, working out not only made my body feel good, yet it's also the best mental healing in my opinion. "Sure. So what time will it be?" I ask her. "How about around 11 AM? I mean, tomorrow is Sunday. I suggest we come earlier before someone touch the cable machine," Minh states, her voice sounds as sassy as usual. Hearing my sister's statement, I struggle to hold my laughter at how cute I thought she looked just now. It's been known in the family that the youngest one is the most feisty. Out of three siblings, Minh is really the one with worst temper and zero patience. And if we're gonna talk about gym related things, is that Minh doesn't like having to share any machines with anyone, as selfish as it sounds. Even Hoang couldn't handle her impatient nature at times. But well, that's Minh. She doesn't like to waste time on almost everything, by that she hated the fact if she had to be patient and "waste some time". "Ok. 11 AM it is," I say, in between a small laugh. "Then get yourself to bed now, if you want to wake up earlier so you could have breakfast first," Minh states, her lips forms a small smile. Though she has a hard time finding patience, the young girl also has a side of her which she would love to smile every now and then. "Besides, I'm pretty sure you also wouldn't want to miss a glimpse of Mr Smith," Minh says as her lips forms a sudden smirk, making me raise my right eyebrow. "Mr Smith? Who is he?" I ask her. "The guy who was at the smith machine earlier, I figured we could call him Mr Smith since we don't know his name," Minh states, which literally almost got me laughting if I wasn't trying hard to hold the laughter. "Mr Smith? Oh please, was that suppose to be short for Mr Smith Machine?" I ask her in a sarcastic manner. "Yup," Minh says. "I mean, let's be real, you wouldn't want to miss his sight. Besides, he only works out during weekends." I sigh. Right now, thinking about a random guy I just saw at the gym was really the last thing on my busy list. Yet, I would be lying if I say that I haven't been thinking about the encounter we had earlier. At least, every 3 hours, there were times I thought of his messy hair. "Ok, Lady Boss. I guess you're kind of correct," I say in a playful way as I get up from the couch, ready to head to my room and get some sleep. One thing I knew right now, is that I can't wait to hit the gym again tomorrow. "Kind of? Man, I am so correct," Minh says in a sassy manner as she follows me from behind, also ready to get a good night sleep. The next day... 11:07 AM... At the gym... "I told you it's gonna be a full house," Minh states as she studies the crowded gym with an annoyed look. One thing for sure, today surely looks more crowded than yesterday. "Looks like we have to wait till no one's hanging out at the cable machine," Minh adds. "Yeah," I say. Looking at the gym filled with people, I figured Minh and I would have to have some patience. "Let's just do some shoulder press first," Minh states as she walks over to the shoulder press machine, in which I follow. Minh attempts to set up the bench, yet she seems to have some problems with the settings. Seems like it's kind of stuck. "It's stuck," Minh says. Yup, I stand corrected. I kneel down in an attempt to help Minh. Man, this thing really is stuck. In this case, maybe we could ask the personal trainer, in which I haven't even ask Minh what's his name. "Here, let me help you!" To be continue...
