Linh puts down her phone on the bed. Her lips still smiling wide, as she still found it hard to believe that she just got her gym crush's number today, and the two just had a nice conversation by text just now.
"So, spill the tea! What's his name?" Minh asks with excitement as she sits on the bed next to her sister.
"His name is Xiaoyang," Linh says. "I was actually overwhelmed when he approached me." 
"Wow, I should really consider asking you for love advice at this point," Minh says in a sarcastic tone. "Seems like you're doing a better job with flirting than me."
"What the hell, Minh? I didn't even flirt with him. Not even a bit," Linh says, almost bursting out a small laughter at the thought that her sister actually thought she would have the courage to come up and just flirt with her crush, when Linh has always been the "look friendly in silence" type of person. If she would have to walk up to him to say something, she would make sure it wouldn't be some cheesy pick-up lines.
"Still, I saw the way you stared at him for three months. You look more friendly than the way I stared at Nar," Minh says.
"Minh, you always avoided Nar's gaze everytime he walks pass us. I doubt he even noticed that you stared at him," Linh states.
"Obviously I don't want him to find out about that," Minh says. "Yet it's been a while and I'm starting to think that we're not getting anywhere."
"Well, you could always walk up to him and introduce yourself. You guys could exchange numbers and eventually be friends," Linh says, giving her younger the advice she almost followed for herself today.
"Yeah right. Like I'm actually gonna do that," Minh says. "Unless you want to help me out."
"Me? How?" Linh asks in confusion. She didn't quite get what her sister meant.
Minh turns her head to face her sister who is now staring at her with a confused look. The young girl forms a cheeky look on her lips, making her sister's curiousity to grow bigger.
"The next time we meet him, can you do me a favor and talk to Nar before asking for his number?" Minh asks, instantly making Linh drop her jaws out of surprise at what her sister just said.
Linh's POV...
I struggle to close my lips after honestly feeling confuse about how am I suppose to react. Out of all things this sassy girl could ask me to do, this is the last thing I actually expect for her to ask from me. The thought of me approaching her gym crush and eventually asking for his number is way to cringe for me to even imagine right now.
"Ok, hold on, what was that?" I ask her.
"I'm asking you if you could do me a favor and approach Nar. Sounds simple?" Minh asks.
"And why in this planet would you even want me to do the job of approaching your gym crush when you're literally the one who's crushing on him?" I ask her, this time in a more serious tone since I'm trying to get her attention.
"Simple. You know how awkward I get when I'm socialising with people. My thought is that you just be friends with him, get his number, and I'll eventually think of what I'm gonna say through text," Minh states. I almost refuse to believe of her statement just now, which I found to be..honestly childish. Like how is that even gonna work?
"You want me to approach your gym crush so that you could text him after? How is that gonna work?" I ask her.
"I have my ways. You just gotta get his number first," Minh states.
I sigh. She better be joking by now since this sounds way too cringe. If she's the one who has interest on Nar, why can't she just approach him by herself? I mean, I understand that she gets awkward when socialising and all, but asking me to come up to him just to get his number so that she could text him sounds cheesier than a teen drama movie I used to watch when I was 14.
"Look, Minh. I really don't mind helping you, but I don't think this plan is gonna work out," I state. "To add, he'll be confuse about why would I ask for his number when I'm not even gonna contact him after."
"Oh come on, Sister! I've been crushing on him for months now. We have to at least try," Minh says, her tone starts to sound a bit whiny this time.
"Consider this as you doing me a favor as a sister," Minh adds. "Please..."
I stare at my sister's brown eyes, which shows a hopeful look as she stares deeply into mine. I want to sigh again at how my so-called tacky heart is starting to melt by her sweet gaze. This little girl knows well how to use my weakness to get what she wants, and well, she's using it too well. As much as I want to deny this silly favor so badly, I can't possibly turn down those big, brown, sparkling eyes of hers.
"Fine," I say.
Hearing my answer, Minh's lips instantly forms a big smile as she widens her sparkling eyes. From her gaze I could tell that she's both surprised and overjoyed by my respond. Surprisingly, she suddenly gives me a big hug, which left me without a word and just hug her back.
"Plan starts this Wednesday," Minh states. "You know what to do girl."
"Woah, doesn't he only workout during the weekends?" I ask.
"Weekends are a must, but sometimes I happen to see him stop by on a fine Wednesday, or Thursday sometimes," Minh states.
"Well, I'll try," I say, as my hand starts caressing the back of her hair. Though inside my head I still can't believe what I just got myself into, a part of my heart really hopes that I could actually help my sister in this case. And as silly as it sounds, I actually hope I could actually be the reason she and Nar could get closer.
Meanwhile...
At Nar's place...
"Tell Mom that I'll be fine, Sis," Nar says on the phone. He is having a phone call with his older sister in Bangkok, who often calls just to check up on him. Being away for almost one and a half year now, his family would often check up on him, knowing that it's his first time to go overseas for a long time for business matters, not only do his family concern about him, but they also miss him.
"She shouldn't worry too much and get enough rest," Nar says. "Don't worry, I'm a grown man. I'll be fine."
"Sometimes she just miss you too much, Nar," his sister, Pim, says in a calm yet casual manner.
Nar chuckles. "What do about you? Do you miss me?"
"In your dreams! I've been so happy since you left, I decided to turn your room into my personal closet," Pim says in a sarcastic manner, attempting to play with his younger brother's emotion. Before, the two would often have a "brother and sister fight" from time to time, despite eventually always reconciling with one another. 
"You wouldn't dare," Nar states in between holding his laughter.
"You're quite confident to assume that," Pim says. "Haha, but seriously, so how's your work life been these past few days?"
"It's good," Nar says. "Yet I'll be busy this week, since I'll be going on a business trip to Da Nang this Wednesday."
"I see. And when will you return to Ho Chi Minh?" Pim asks.
"I'll be back on Saturday morning, hopefully," Nar states.
"Well, just stay safe. Take care of your health," Pim says.
"Yeah, you too. Well, I'm going to bed now. Goodnight, Sis," Nar says.
"Goodnight, Nar," Pim says. 
Nar smiles as he hungs up the phone and puts it on the small table beside his bed. Realizing that it's getting late, he gets up on his bed in attempt to fall asleep. After a hard workout today, he is ready to get a good sleep for tonight. Yet, as Nar close his eyes, a vision from today's event came across his mind, which he just happened to realize just now that he somehow thought of it.
Hmm...today I saw that girl alone, she wasn't with her brother or sister. It's kind of odd, since the three of them are usually together. Nar thought as he start to recall the scenes from the gym today, which included the sight of Linh working out alone, much to his surprise. Yet, realizing what he just thought just now, he thought it's more odd for him to suddenly have the thought of her when he doesn't even know her name. Not wanting to think too much, Nar assumed that maybe he's just feeling exhausted that his mind starts travelling elsewhere. By that, he shrug off any thoughts for tonight and just focus on trying to fall asleep.
I need some sleep. Nar thought.
