Linh's POV... I felt like I just experienced a moment of star-strucked as I was surprised by the sight of Nar walked passed us, oddly leaving me to stood with butterflies slowly dancing inside of me. I noticed Minh is now smirking at me from the side, which I honestly thought to be a bit irritating. Man, this girl really doesn't get tired of adding more spice in an awkward moment. "Looks like the guy is here," Minh states. "Yeah, now we just have to find the right moment to approach him," I state with a rather playful look, making my younger sister instantly blush out of shyness. "Shut up and just continue your workout for now," Minh states as she attempts to continue with her workout, in which I follow to continue with mine. For the approaching part, I thought I could wait maybe a few minutes in the middle of his rest session. Approaching him during the beginning of a workout might seem a bit creepy. As I continue my workout, I couldn't help but took small glances at Nar for short seconds during the rest. His calm yet peaceful aura somehow brings out this strong energy of pure focus, which somehow, I think could make anyone feel a bit pressured by his look just from distance. He doesn't look like the easy target to approach, since he only has eyes on his workout. So thinking about approaching him, I really need to think of the best way to not pull a bad impression. "This is gonna be quite a challenge," I say to Minh in a low tone as the two of us are now staring at him from distance. He's currently taking a rest and is too busy with his phone to realize that we've been stealing glances at him. Thank goodness. "Just gather some courage. If you act normal he won't notice how extremely creepy we are," Minh sttaes in a low tone. "Ok, wish me luck," I say, though I could feel myself getting more nervous as I slowly step away from my sister, and literally heading over to Nar who is sitting on the bench, still looking as if he's too busy with his phone to notice anything or anyone at this point. I could feel the butterflies are starting to dance again inside of me as I step closer to him, who is still too busy to even notice my existence. Well, I'm a bit happy that he didn't notice my current state, since I'm still struggling to get myself together. Damn it, Linh. You gotta stay calm. Breath in, breath out, but you gotta hurry up and strike a conversation before he continues his workout. "Umm...hi," I say that while struggling to keep my tone calm, as if I am trying to hide how nervous I am, that I had to pull out the most basic words with a lot of pressure. Wow, Linh. You seem to be unprofessional at some points, especially this time. A bit surprised as if he didn't quite hear me out, he quickly turns his head and removes one of his earbuds, and for a second I almost forgot he was wearing them, but I was lucky enough that he actually heard me. "Huh?" his face looks confuse as he raise one of his eyebrow. "So...umm...I haven't seen you for a while," I say, my vision awkwardly stares at the ground as I avoid any eye contact with him. "Oh yeah, I was on a business trip to Da Nang for a few days," he answers in a casual tone with his thin lips forming a chill smile. "Oh, I see. So do you often go to Da Nang for business trip?" I ask him, though my head is already internally screaming a thousand things out of panic. Man, I almost didn't believe that he was gonna reply in such a chill manner, knowing that I probably just asked one of the most boring questions of all time. "Sometimes, actually," he answers. We stare into each other's eyes for a moment as I noticed how fascinating his brown eyes are. Man, with those eyes, it's no surprise that Minh actually has a thing for him. Yet, I didn't dare to stare too long since the sight of his gaze already gives me butterflies. By that, I turn my vision away awkwardly, only to stop these butterflies from dancing wildly. "Oh, I see. That's why, I thought it was kind of quiet here when you were away," I say, yet instantly regret saying that, since I didn't want to make it seem like I'm flirting with him in a way. Damn it, Linh. Why did you say that? "Oh really?" he asks, his smile suddenly widens as his eyes shows a look of flattered. Man, he probably already thinks I'm trying to flirt him. "Yeah. I thought it would be more fun to workout with friends. Actually, I was gonna ask if we could exchange numbers?" I ask him, with all the courage I had, I poured all of it one sentence with a goal to just get his number so that I could just end this awkwardness faster. Damn, attempting to meet new people and strike up a conversation really is a challenging task. "Oh sure," he says, again with the same sunny smile. Man, for a moment I thought my vision just got lost in his smile. Meanwhile.... "Hey, I was thinking that maybe you wanted to play basket ball this evening," Hoang says as approaches Minh who is standing next to the cable machine, staring sharply at Linh and Nar who seems to be exchanging numbers now, and even....laughting at some points. "I'll consider it if I'm not too tired," Minh says. Her vision still focus on Linh and Nar. Hoang noticed that his younger sister seems to got her attention glued at the two adults. He shift his gaze from her to the sight of Linh and Nar, who are still talking to each other. While he noticed that his older sister is smiling shyly, he could also see Nar smiling with a flattered look on his face. "Did Linh got his number?" Hoang asks Minh in a rather quiet tone. "I bet she did," Minh says, though Hoang could sense that there's something different in her voice. He didn't feel her exciting tone is presented today, or more likely, right now. As Hoang and Minh continue to stare at Linh and Nar from the cable machine, a soft voice suddenly tinkles their ears as a sight of a man in a gray shirt with blue shorts walks pass them. The man smiles when he sees the two teenagers who stood in silence, breaking their attention to Linh and Nar as both Minh and Hoang are now smiling out of surprise at Xiaoyang. "Looks like Mr Smith is here," Hoang says. "Yeah," Minh says as she shifts her vision back to Linh, who is now heading to her direction. Of course, she happens to saw Xiaoyang who by accident got into eye contact with her, where the two smiles. "Hey, guess what?" Linh asks Minh with an exciting tone. "You got his number?" Hoang asks in a rather playful tone. "Hell yeah," Linh says as she pulls out her phone and shows it to Minh. "You know, on second thought, I'm starting to consider whatever did I saw in him in the first place," Minh says, her vision shows a look of irritated, which got both Linh and Hoang confuse. "What do you mean?" Linh asks, completely feeling confuse of her sister's words. Minh chuckles. She didn't say another word to her big sister, other than she just smiles at her. Yet, Linh noticed that there's something different about her smile. It's not the usual genuine, sunny smile she often does whenever she is in a happy mode. To Linh, there's something off about her sister's smile right now, in which just happened when she return to her after talking to Nar. "Ok, so are you guys done or do you still have some things on your list?" Hoang asks, hence breaking the awkward moment between his two sisters. "Well, I still got shoulder press on my list," Linh says. "How about you, Minh?" "I'm actually done for today. I think I'm gonna play basket ball with Hoang later," Minh states. "Oh ok," Linh says. "By the way, you should text him in advance. Just tell him that you're my sister." "OMG, Linh. You should literally be the one to text first. Otherwise he would wonder why you got his number yet I'm the one who text him," Minh states. "Well, yeah. But I literally got his number for you. So you should also consider to text him," Linh says. "Ugh, don't think about whether I'm gonna text him or not. I'll figure that out on my own," Minh says. This time, she seems to look more annoyed all of a sudden, which made both Linh and Hoang more confuse. "Umm...ok," Linh says in awkward tone. "Well, Minh and I will be going back first. See you later, Sis," Hoang says. "Yeah, see you," Linh says as she waves goodbye at her two siblings, before Hoang gently drags the annoyed Minh out of the gym, leaving Linh to still stood with confusion. Weird. Isn't Minh suppose to be happy that I got his number for her? There's no way she could be jealous when I talked to him, right? Ugh, no way, Linh! Besides you don't even like Nar that way. She doesn't have a reason to be jealous. Linh thought. To be continue...
