"Good evening, Miss Amanda. Mr. Emmett Albreicht is wiating for you at the living room." one of the family's house staff announced, as soon as she steps inside the mansion.
Lara/Amanda groaned inwardly when she heard that Emmett is waiting for her. She's so tired and she's not in the mood to talk to anyone, but Amanda's fiance' is waiting for her.
She didn't have any choice but to meet him.
"Thank you." she thanked the staff, and she forced herself to drag her feet towards the huge living room.
She saw Emmett sitting at one of the sofas. Their eyes met, and he quickly stood up and smiles at her.
There's something about Emmett's smile that can light up a whole, dark room. His smiles feels so warm, and it looks genuine and sincere.
"Hello, honey!" Emmett greeted her.
And as usual, he gave her a quick kiss on her cheek, and her heart started to skip a beat.
"Oh, get a hold of yourself, Lara!" she secretly reprimanded.
"Uh, hi. What brings you here? Don't tell me you went straight here after your plane landed?" Lara/Amanda inquired, as soon as she regains her composure.
Emmett told her few weeks ago that he will be having a business trip in Dubai, and he will be away for fourteen days. Lara/Amanda has a lot on her plate right now, that she didn't even realize that fourteen days have passed already, and Emmett is finally back... 
"Yes, I did. I decided to drop by here to check up on you. So, how are you? Do you still feel dizzy? Are you regularly taking your meds?" Emmett bombarded her with questions.
Lara/Amanda almost rolled her eyes heavenward after she heard Emmett.
"And since when did you become a doctor? I'm sorry, I'm just kidding. Anyway, I'm perfectly fine, and yes, I still regularly drink all of my meds." she answered in return.
"Okay, that's good. By the way, I have a special gift for you. I want you to close your eyes." Emmett suddenly stated, while smiling mysteriously.
"Do I really have to close my eyes? Why don't you just give it to me." Lara/Amanda cajoled.
"That's why this is a surprise! Just do it for me, hmmm?" Emmett insisted.
Lara/Emmett lets out a sigh but she did close her eyes, anyway.
After a good minute of closing her eyes, she frowned when she felt something cold and heavy on her neck. She already know what it is, but she doesn't have any idea what kind of design and what kind of jewelry it was...
"Alright, you can open your eyes now." Emmett whispered at her.
She slowly opens her eyes, and she gasped in admiration when she saw the necklace.
"This is so exquisite and beautiful!" Lara/Amanda gushes.
"When I saw it at one of the jewelry shops in Dubai, I instantly thought of you, and I said to myself that I have to get it for you...This is a blue sapphire necklace which is encircled with small diamonds. I want you to wear this at your thanksgiving party next week." relayed Emmett.
"Do I really deserved this?" Lara/Amanda became suddenly serious.
Emmett frowned a bit, as he is a little puzzled with Amanda's facial expression.
"Of course, without a doubt! You deserve all the wonderful things in the world, Amanda." 
"But I'm not----!" Lara/Amanda was about to say that she is Lara Smith, and for peculiar and unexplainable reason, she is trapped inside Amanda Montserrat's body. But she decided not to say it because Emmett might think that she's gone mad!
"Is there something wrong?" Emmett suddenly asked her.
"Oh, nothing. I'm just feeling tired, I guess." Lara/Amanda just decided to change the subject.
"You really looked so tired. Well, I just dropped by hereto give you my gift, and I'm glad you liked it. I'll see you again tomorrow, okay?" Emmett stated, as he moves his face towards Lara/Amanda to give her a kiss on the lips.
But to his surprise, Lara/Amanda tilted her head and his kiss landed on her right cheek.
He decided not to make it a big deal because Lara/Amanda looks clearly worn out.
"Thank you again for the lovely gift, Emmett." Lara/Amanda thanks Emmett once again.
"You're very much welcome, honey." Emmett smilingly responded.
Lara/Amanda walks Emmett towards the big door and bud goodbye to him. Emmett steps inside his luxurious car and he gave one last wave towards her, and finally drives off.
And once Emmett is finally out of sight, Lara/Amanda stared at the blue sapphire necklace again...
"This should be for you, Amanda." she whispered, while looking sad...

The night of Amanda Montserrat's thanksgiving party finally arrives. Lara/Amanda is now walking towards the spacious family garden where the party is being held. 
She suddenly froze when she saw all the guests waiting for them at the party venue.
Those people were eagerly waiting for her to make a grand entrance.
Lara/Amanda tightened her grip on Emmett's arm who's escorting her to the party. 
"Is there something wrong, honey?" Emmett suddenly whispered at her.
"N-Nothing... I wasn't expecting that they've invited hundreds of people for tonight's party."  she whispered back at him.
"Oh, I was thinking the same thing." Emmett responded, while grinning from ear to ear.
Lara/Amanda can't help herself but to giggle with Emmett's joke, and it's all thanks to him, she doesn't have the cold feet anymore.
They are now both making a grand entrance, and they are walking at a long, red carpet. 
The camera bulbs started flashing right on their faces and it made Lara/Amanda feel dizzy. She's immensely grateful towards Emmett because he is securely holding her arm, and it made her feel relaxed and secured.
Lara/Amanda tried to familiarize herself with the guests, but she fails to recognize some of them. She can only recognize the people who's working at Etoile Cosmetics Company. 
She's not really used to getting this overwhelming attention from all of these people...
