Mon's POV
"Dada, come!" i called Sam's attention. Its still early and she's preparing to go to work while I'm in the nursery and reading some baby books when our little girl here started to dance like crazy.
Sam came in holding her phone, ready to take a video of Bunny's insane movements inside my tummy. She lobes to document everything her daughter is involved with and i guess me too?
"Is she jumping around in there? Are you feeling uncomfortable Mami?"
"Nope, its normal Love. Dont worry. But i dont really know what she is doing in there now. Remember what P'Fah said? On these month, Bunny can lift her head or move her arms and legs. The music is on too so i guess she's dancing?"
"Just be careful and slow Bunny, we still need Mami's organs to be safe and complete ok?" Sam said as she pat her daughter.
"My organs really Samanun?"
Sam just laughed.
"I really got nervous everytime you call me that Tee rak. The whole fiasco in the company weeks ago would flashed back everytime you call my name in full."
I just laughed at her too. Good thing its all ok with the company now. People involved are now facing their crimes according to the law. They are legaly charged and now facing there sentence. Not all the money are back but at least they recovered some from the people involved.
Im also on my maternity leave for a week now. Sam forced me actually since i still insist in going to work. That leads to my parents and grandma ganging up to convince me and i can't say no to them so i don't have a choice but to agree which made Sam the happiest.
"Are you ready? I'm sure Mae and Phaw are already excited already."
Im going to my parents home today and Sam is driving me there before going to work.
"Im sure they are. Don't forget about the lunch later."
"How can i? I missed Mae's food too. So im not missing this chance. Now come, we need to go now. I have a meeting by 10am. Pri's sending me messages about my schedule already."
"She's great with her job."
"The audacity of that girl to boss me around. She's just lucky you are backing her up." Sam said giving a good laugh.
We said goodbye to our house helps and drive off to my parents. Ran is with us by the way. By the time we reached there, my parents are already out to meet us.
"Mae! Phaw!"
"My baby. How are you feeling?"
"Great Mae. Bunny's going heavier each day but im glad she's healthy."
"And how about you Sam?"
"Im doing well Mae. And i hope you two are too."
"We are fine dear. Don't worry about us."
Sam checked her watch again. "I need to go now Tee rak."
"Yes you should Love or Pri will murder you when you arrive late." we just smiled at each other's silliness.
"Wait for a while Sam. I made you breakfast." Mae rushed inside the house.
"Breakfast?"
"She actually expected that you're not staying long before going since Mon mentioned about coming home early coz of your meeting, so she decided to pack you breakfast you can eat in the office."
"She doesn't need to but who am i to refuse Mae's food?" Sam said with a grin.
"And i wont accept no for an answer, my child."
Sam hugged my mother then Phaw after. Ran took the food container to the car.
"Call me when you need anything. Enjoy your day with Mae and Phaw ok?" i just gave her a nod. "I really need to go now. I'll see you at lunch." she then gave me a kiss and of course our Bunny too.
"Drive safely. Tell me if you reached the office."
"I will. I love you."
"I love you and Bun-bun too."
She peppered me with soft kissed again and before waving to my parents goodbye with her gummy smile. My wife is adorable and cute. No arguments needed.
While Sam is at work, my parents and I spend the morning fixing my room. Nop and Yuki arrived later that morning bringing things for Bunny. Phaw, fixed the crib and the changing table with Nop while Yuki and I are arranging Bunny's wardrobe. Mae and Ran are preparing snacks for us.
"You don't need to do this but thanks Yuki."
"That's my Goddaughter we are talking here, i will buy everything i want for her and you can't say no."
"But she might not use some of these. There's a lot of clothes at home courtesy of Sam's friends too. A box from UK arrived from my father too. I don't even know how can Bunny wear all of these."
"Don't worry Mon. Im sure Bunny can wear all of these. Plus i made sure these have different sizes too. And promise, we wont be buying clothes anymore. I mean while she's a baby?" Yuki added
"Ok, ok, but thank you again. I love the colors. Sam loved that Dada's Girl onesie you bought. I sent her a picture and all she can reply is a spam of hearts. She said thanks."
"That's great then."
After finishing everything, i decided to take a bath while waiting for lunch. When i went out of the bathroom, Yuki is there preparing another set of clothes.
"What's going on?"
"Mon, Kirk called a while ago he said they need you in the office. Here wear these."
"Ok, please tell Ran to get the car ready. Omg, Sam drove us here!"
"Dont worry, Nop's car is here right? We're using that."
"Ok, give me 10 minutes."
What is it this time? I hope its nothing serious. When i went down they are all ready.
"You're coming with us Mae?"
"of course. Were having lunch with Sam right?"
"I thought your cooking lunch?"
"I was about to when your Nop told us about this new restaurant he visited with Mika, so we decided to just eat out." Nika is Nop's girlfriend. We've met her already and she's the sweetest. Were like closed friends already. We like her for Nop.
"Yes Mon. Nika will meet us there. She missed talking to you and Yuki."
"But i think I'll be late, Kirk called a while ago. I think something's going on at the office. I need to check on it first." i explained
"And how about lunch?" Phaw asked.
"How about you drop me off then you go there first. I'll have someone from the office to drive me there after we fixed things up. Just tell me the address of that new restaurant so i can send it to Sam. Oh, she's excited to eat your cooking Mae. She missed your food."
"I'll make it up to her by cooking all her favorites next time. I'll talk to her later."
"Lets go now guys."
I tried to call Kirk and Yha but no one is answering. They might be on a meeting now. I tried to call Sam but her phone is off too.
"Is she still on a meeting?"
"Who?" Yuki asked
"Sam. She should be done by now but she's not answering my calls." im starting to get worried already.
"She might really be on the meeting. Or maybe she's busy with work. You know your wife Mon, a workaholic one when she's in the office already. Just message her the address."
"Hi Love. There' s a change of plans. Were dining out. Here's the address [***********] , its near Diversity. Lets meet there later? I need to check on Kirk for a while. He called about something urgent so Nop will drop me off the office. Call me when you're off work already, I Love You."
After sending the message, i tried to call the office again but no one is answering. When we arrived, all of my companions followed.
" You go there first."
"Just let us go with you, we will not stay, we just want to know what's going on. Were worried too." Yuki said as we walk up the stairs.
When we arrived, the whole floor is quiet.
"They might be in the meeting room."
"Guys, quiet! Ran said they are going up now." Jim said.
The room went quiet. We are all silently waiting for their arrival. When the door opened, we all shouted:
"SURPRISE!!!!!"
I saw my wife's reaction, but she did not see me. She really is surprised as she looked at everyone. All of our friends are here, my family is here too even Khun Phoom. Today's surprise is a baby shower Jim, Kade, Yuki and Neung planned. I wanted to plan this myself but they don't want me to. They insisted that a baby shower should be the aunt and uncle's 1st responsibility to Bunny. So i just let them to avoid any quarrel or drama. They even prepared games and lots of gifts.
"Look, we really surprised her." Kirk
"You did great here, i cant argue with that. Thanks for planning all of this."
"We are your friends. This is all we can do for Bunny and we thank you for letting us." Kirk added
"I actually want to say no. But Neung talked to me for days plus all of you are not talking to me unless there's Mon. How can I not let you after that?"
Kirk just laughed. And i saw my wife laughed with our friends too. My eyes never left her even if i am talking to Kirk. She's now with Yuki checking on the pastel colored cupcakes and sweets. Grandma and my in-laws are talking, the employees are enjoying the food, some are playing some games. I then saw her look around until our eyes met. I smiled at her and she opened her arms to me.
"My wife wants some hug."
"Go ahead. We dont want her to wait."
I nodded at Kirk and went to hug my lovely wife. She immediately put her head on my neck, i felt her inhaled my scent then she giggled.
"I missed you Dada." she mumbled
"I missed you too Mami. Did you enjoy their surprise?"
"You knew?"
"Sorry, they asked me to stay quiet. They really wanted to surprise you and i cant say No. They bothered me for days and all i can do is to just say yes.".
"They can really do that."
"So, are you happy?"
"Yes. Very but its supposed to be us, not just me."
"I was surprised when i arrived too. And i dont mind if its just you, i love to see your surprised face. I love to see your happy smiles. I can do this everyday if you want to so i can see that smile always."
"You and your sweet talks."
"Only for you Tee rak."
They were now giggling at each others hugs. The people around them are just quietly observing them.
"And they are on thier own world again." Jim said making all of them laugh.
Sam then looked at her wife and in front of them all, she kissed her. Her wife, her partner, her happiness and joy, her world, her forever. The mother of her daughter.
"I love you so much Mon."
"I love you so much My Khun Sam."
