"How are you feeling?" Sam asked as soon as Fah and her team left.
"Tired but happy. You?"
"I don't think if i have the right to be tired after all that happened to you but yes im very happy too. Im still on cloud nine actually. She's beautiful Mon, our little Bunny is perfect."
"She is our daughter after all My Love. Don't you think its a given already?" Mon smirked amidst the tiredness and hard work in pushing their little Bunny out of this world.
"Aren't you too proud of us Tee rak?" Sam chuckled
"I'm just stating the truth My Love. We made a very pretty human being and im proud of that." Mon whispered, sleep taking over her body.
"Go to sleep my Mami. Thank you for everything, i love you."
"I love you too Dada." Mon said
Sam occupied the rocking chair beside Mon's bed. She reached out and held her wife's hand and decided to take the nap. With the loss of adrenaline after tonight's events, sleep conquered Sam's tired body too.
Fah opened the door, pushing a bassinet with a little  Bunny inside. Sam being the light sleeper opened her eyes upon the sound of the door closing. She looked at her wife sleeping peacefully so she let go of her wife's hand, arranged her blanket, and kissed her before checking their daughter.
"Can you wake up Mon? Bunny needs her first feeding." Fah instructed.
Sam moved to wake her wife up by kissing her gently.
"Mami?"
"Hmmm? Dada? Is Bunny back?" Mon asked as she roamed her eyes around.
"Yes Tee rak. She is quite hungry too Mami."
"She is? Then let's feed our little Bun."
A nurse raised the bed to help Mon sit comfortably. Sam adjusted her pillow too. Fah opened up Mon's clothes revealing some skin, Sam raised an eyebrow upon seeing what the doctor is doing.
"Put that raised brow down Sam, this is important for your daughter. Were all medical professionals here. Skin to skin contact has good benefits for both mother and baby. So stop being  jealous and hold Mon's clothes, I'll help her hold Bunny." Fah scolded Sam which made Mon chuckle.
" Stop laughing Tee rak. Im not jealous." she said as she walked to take over Fah.
"I didn't say anything!" Mon said
"But your look says otherwise." Sam answered.
"always the protective and possessive one Sam." Fah answered as she removed Bunny's clothes leaving only her diapers.
Fah then put Bunny in Mon's arms and with the nurse's and Fah's help and guidance, Mon successfully feed their little one her first milk. Mon would grimace from now and then but after smiled while looking at the little hungry baby she is holding. Sam is just looking at her wife and child frozen from where she is standing at
"Dada?" Mon asked for Sam "Are you ok?"
Fah just chuckled and pushed Sam to sit beside Mon. Sam recovered back and kissed their baby's head, then Mon when she saw her looking at her smiling. Sam's tears started to blur her sight again.
"I don't know what happened in my past life for giving me the two of you but im not going to complain. Not ever. Thank you for coming into my life Tee rak, and thank you for giving me our little Bunny. Thank you for our little family. I love you." Sam said and kissed her wife again.
"You know Bunny and I are very happy and lucky to have you in our lives too my love. You are our rock, the pillar, the foundation of our family, we are more blessed to have you and we love you so much too Dada." Mon replied, crying too.
The nurses are in tears too, they saw how genuine, and sweet and lovely the couple is and they were happy for them.
" If all the couples around the world is as lovely and genuinely in love as this two, peace will never be disrupted. The love you have with each other can stop wars if i may say." Fah said earning a nod of approval from her team and a sweet smile form the new parents.
"How is she P'Fah?" Mon asked
"she is very fine and healthy."  Fah briefly explained
"That's great Phi. Im glad she is healthy."
"Thanks to you two for that. So, have you informed anyone yet?" Fah asked again
The couple looked at each other then back to Fah. They both shook their head. Fah giggled at how cute these two are. She looked at the time.
"It's still early so they might think you are still asleep. How about messaging them now?"
Sam took her phone and went out to call her grandma and in-laws. She came back after 10 minutes then sent a message to their groupchat. She then put her phone on the table went back beside Mon.
" She's done already?" she asked Mon
" Hmmm. Babies have small stomach Love. They get full easily then get hungry every 2 hours too." Mon explained.
Sam just looked at Bunny and Mon. She glides her finger on Bunny's red cheeks. And smiled when the little one moved as if telling her not to disturb her sleep.
"I'm your egg donor but you looks like your Mami and i love it. Look at this cheeks, i remember your Mami having that chubby cheeks too when she is younger. You get that from Mami, Bun. I now have two Mon's to love and cherish." Sam said and kissed her child's head again.
Mon just smiled as she observed Sam talk to their sleeping baby. Its adorable to see her talking to her bump but she's more lovely to see her wife talk to a sleeping Bunny now.
"She's more awake when she's inside you. Now that she's here, it feels like she's gonna be asleep more than she's awake." Sam said
"It's normal for babies. She'll just sleep and eat and sleep more. Its essential for their growth." Fah explained.  "Now, tell me what you sent to you group chat for your sister to bombard my phone with calls."
Sam took her phone out and showed the message to Fah. The latter just face palmed.
Hospital now. That's what she sent to their group chat.
"That's a very clear message Sam!" Fah said with sarcasm
"What did you sent Love?"
"Hospital Now. Its the truth though." Sam said
If she's not holding their sleeping Bunny, Mon would be laughing so much now. Her wife really can be so unclear sometimes.
"You're giving them a heart attack My Love. I love you so much Samanun."
"I love you too Tee rak." Sam answered automatically.  "I informed them. I think they'll know what it means already."
"Yes you informed them that you are in the hospital but you forgot to inform them that Mon gave birth to Bunny already." Fah argued
"Its a given! Were in the hospital so it means Mon gave birth."
"Or you're in the hospital and Mon is still on labor. Or whatever she maybe doing here except giving birth. They might overthink!" Fah said
"so its their fault for overthinking. Whats important is i informed Grandma, Mae and Phaw correctly and my wife and daughter is ok and healthy." Sam smirked
Fah's eyes widen upon realizing Sam's words.
"You! You planned this! You want your friends to overthink! You're a scary friend Sam!"
Sam just grinned then looked back to her family. Mon just pouted her lips then Sam immediately knew what her wife wants. She kissed her and gave Bunny her share too. Mon yawned, as her body asked for rest.
"Your turn Sam."
"Me too?" Sam pointed at herself.
"Of course your her parents too. Or you don't wanna?" Fah asked
Sam immediately occupied the rocking chair again and opened her Pajama top. She just realized she never changed her sleepwear after when she prepared to bring her wife to the hospital, out of panic of course, she chuckled. Mon just looked at her then saw what Sam is looking at and realized what her wife is chuckling too.
"You have your clothes in the hospital bag right? You can take a bath here later." Mon said
"I just thought about that too Mami." Sam grinned.
Fah transfered Bunny in her chest and covered them with a blanket. The little one moved to position herself more and settled once she put her ears on her Dada's heart area. Sam gently tapped her daughter's back while rocking back and forth. Sam cant help her emotions, her eyes automatically brimmed with tears. This is so special for her.
Mon who's watching her family reached out to wipe her wife's tears away, sleep vanished again. "You looks so good with Bunny."
"Im so happy Tee rak." Sam said and kissed her wife's hand. "I know i've said this too many time today but thank you."
"Thanks and congratulations to the both of us My Love." Mon replied.
Sam just nod in agreement. They were holding hands while looking at their daughter sleeping. Fah is there happily watching her favorite family when a knock was heard and the door opened revealing Mon's parents, Sam's Grandma and Neung. Fah immediately signalled them to be quiet and helped everyone to sanitize before going near Mon. All their attention is on Mon.
"My baby...." Mon's mother said crying as she hugged her daughter.
"How are you feeling dear?" Her father asked
"Mae... Phaw, Im fine..." Mon assured them
"Im happy you are my dear. Im glad both of you are safe." Grandma added.
"Im glad we are too Grandma. Its an eventful morning for all of us." Mon chuckled.
"Where's the baby Mon? I wanna meet my niece badly!" Neung said as she looked at the empty bassinet.
Mon giggled while Sam just looked at her family. "So im a chopped liver again?" she said earning a laugh from Fah
"I've seen you for years Sam. I want my niece. Where's Bunny Mon?"
Mon pointed at her wife, they all followed Mon's hand and saw Sam who's still holding the sleeping Bunny on her chest. All their eyes soften to the sweet sight of Sam and her daughter, well, not until Sam pointed at her sister.
"You are not allowed to be near me or my daughter Neung." Sam announced.
Bunny is still sleeping but facing them.
"She looked like Mon when she was a baby. Ow our granddaughter..." Pohn said as she walked to where Sam is.
Sam looked at Mon. "I told you Mami." she smirked and Mon just rolled her eyes.
"Lets swaddle Bunny Sam, im sure her grandparents wants to carry her too." Fah said.
Sam held her daughter safely before getting up. With Fah's guidance, Sam managed to dress up and swaddle Bunny. Her eyes full of pride and happiness as she finished her task. She even carefully took Bunny out of her bassinet and showed them to their family with pride.
Sam looked at the two excited women and for a moment stopped to think of who to give Bunny first.  She looked at her grandma and the older woman just pointed at Mon's mother. Sam nods and mouthed her a thank you.
"Wanna hold Bunny Mae?" Sam asked
The older woman smiled but held Sam's arm and guided her to give Bunny to the eldest Anuntrakul.
"Your grandma first." Pohn said.
Sam's grandma smiled but held her arms for Sam to put Bunny in. As she held the baby, Sam sit beside her wife and wrapped her arms around her, Mon snuggled closer to her.
"She's perfect." the older woman said as she looked at Bunny closer.  "Did you choose a name already?"
The couple smiled.
"Sunaree Anuntrakul." they both said.
Neung and Grandma looked at the two. Their eyes immediately watered. Neung came to hug Sam and Mon while Grandma looked Bunny, the little girls lips moved to a smile. Bunny's name is special for Sam's family. Its her sister's name, after all.
"A perfect name for you little one. I hope you grow up as a happy and cheerful girl as your name means. Be our sunshine our Sunaree." Grandma said and kissed her great-granddaughter, Sam and Mon held each other other closer as they saw their grandma smile amidst the tears.
"Thank you Mon, thank you for naming her after Song."
(lets just assume Khun Song's real name is Sunaree. 😊)
"Khun Song holds a special place in Sam's life Grandma. She's my sister-in-law too, she's family. even i haven't met her, it seems like i knew her based on Sam's stories. She's a great woman and i want to honor and remember her just like Sam."
Their Grandma passed Bunny to Pohn and hugged Sam and Mon. "Thank you."
Pohn can't stop her emotions when Bunny was handed to her. She looked at her grandchild and showed it to her husband. "Im a grandma now." she said
"And im a grandpa too." Aom added.
"She's perfect." Pohn kissed the baby's head again.
"She really looks like Mon when she's a baby. Are you ready to have 2 Mon in your life Sam?" Aom joked
"Im actually wishing for it Phaw. I'm very happy right now." Sam answered with a wink.
"I wish you good luck handling two of your wife."
Sam looked at her wife. "She's a baby, an emotional wreck, moody and stubborn but i will always choose and love her Phaw. And im sure i can handle the two of them. Im Samanum Anuntrakul, i don't back down so easily, especially when it comes to my family."
"I commend you for that Taw lek." Neung said with a thumbs up. "Any interesting thing that happened this morning? Did Sam freaked out and fainted?"
"Good she did not or else i'm going to fall with her. I'm holding on to her while pushing Bunny out. If not for Sam i will not be able to stay up or stand until Bunny is out." Mon laughed
"S-stand?" Grandma asked
"Mon gave birth standing." Sam answered Neung paled at what her sister said
"We were walking around the room while on labor to quicken the process. P'Fah came in to check, were about to go back to bed when she felt Bunny's head so P'Fah made her deliver Bunny while standing there. Mon's so brave and strong." Sam said and kissed her wife.
"You suffered a lot my dear. Im sorry im not here to guide and assist you." Pohn said as she passed Bunny to her husband.
"It's ok Mae. Its our fault for not informing you too. We just left home after securing some of our things then drove directly here. Besides, P'Fah is here too. She really helped us a lot. Her team is the best."
"My pleasure to be your doctor. Even though Sam brought heart attacks to the hospital when they entered. I got scared myself too. I never knew Sam would pull ranks just to be with Mon in the emergency room." Fah narrated.
"Its not new already Fah. Sam would move mountain and part the ocean if she needs to. All for Mon." Neung  added.
"Its the first time and hopefully the last for me to see that side of her. Im so used with seeing an excited and nervous mother to be, not a scary controlling Royal. I don't really wish to see it again."  Fah said while looking at Neung. Everyone just laugh at Fah's story.
The older members of the family is now having a conversation in the lounge. Fah is back to her work. Sam still sitting beside Mon and Neung carrying Bunny.
"I never thought you'll name here after Song. Im sure she's happy with your decision."
"I hope she is. So hows the feeling that you are an official Aunt now?" Sam asked her sister.
"Very happy, and excited to spoil her with everything. You hear that Bunny? I will spoil you with everything. I vow to protect you and love you little one. Auntie Neung will always be here for you, Sunaree."
"Bunny's lucky to have an Auntie like you Khun Neung." Mon said.
"Thanks Mon. Hmmm, i know you two are tired, you can take a rest. We can look after Bunny while you two sleep. She's asleep too anyways. I'll put Bunny to her bassinet too."
Mon and Sam just nod then Neung carefully put her sleeping niece back to her bassinet.
" Sleep tight Bunny. We love you little one." Neung whispered.
And when she looked back to the couple, they are already sleeping together on Mon's bed. Neung just smiled and put the lights in dim and went to join the elders.
