SHE FELT CARTER stiffened beside her. They haven’t talked about it The truth was, she also didn’t want to talk about it. That if only she could extend the days. "I'll take her to the airport,” he answered coldly.
“How about you join her in Jeju Island?” Elixir asked with a secret smile.
Carter shook his head. “No. I can't go with her. I would love to but… ”
"There is no but if you have this." Elixir handed him a paper.
Carter was a bit surprised when he read the letter. “Is this serious? A trip to Jeju Island? How did you…”
“Eun Young said you wanted to accompany Ma’am Cheska to Jeju. It’s not good to visit Jeju Island alone. It will make you feel sad. And that ticket to Jeju is the favor asked to my appa to do good at CSAT. That is free, by the way.”
Eun Young gave Cheska a thumbs up when she turned to the young girl. She could kiss this girl in delight. She even connived with her mortal enemy just to bring her and her brother closer. Eun Young has no idea she made her happy today. But what about Carter? Would he be willing to go with her?

“You’re the one I’m concerned about though. I know you have a lot of things to do here.”
“I can adjust my class schedule. And I would drop everything just to be with you. I'm worried about you roaming around on your own. What if you got sad there and there’s no one to cheer you up? But that is your call, of course. Don't think about my plane ticket. I’ll respect what makes you comfortable.”
“Actually, I was afraid to go to Jeju alone. I was thinking what if I become sad again when I get there. What if things make it harder for me to be happy again. I…I don’t want to go back there. I could use a friend.”
Carter held her hand. “Don’t worry. I will be here for you. ”
THE SKY WAS a little dark when their plane landed at Jeju International Airport. They checked into one of the guesthouses in Jeju City. Cheska felt a little heavy. She wasn’t sure if it was just because of the gloomy weather or there was something bad looming to happen. But since she was already set to visit Doc Darryl's grave, she said nothing to Carter.
"Cheska, what was Doc Darryl's favorite flower?" Carter asked her while holding a white rose.
She couldn’t answer right away. The truth was, she didn’t know. She had something in mind the kind of flowers she would bring to Doc Darryl’s grave but she couldn’t remember what it was. "White rose will do."
Carter talked to the person at the flower shop to arrange a set of white roses for them. She was not herself. She felt like her mind was stuck. And this was bad. Was she worried about her visiting Doc Darryl’s grave because she was with Carter who looked exactly like him? She used to know how she felt for her beloved doctor. She was sure of her love for him. Now she wasn’t sure anymore. Whatever she felt for Doc Darryl was nothing compared to what she felt for Carter now.
What should I say to Doc Darryl? I feel like I’m being unfair to him when I had been loving him for a very long time. 
"Have you prepared your letter yet?" Carter asked her as they boarded the bus.
