"NAE SARANG, can you pass the fish to me?" Cheska asked Carter as they were having dinner. Aunt Selina and Eun Young waited for them because they were also excited to ask how their tour turned out. "Nee," he replied and handed the sweet and sour fish to her. She noticed Selina and Eun Young’s startled looks at them as if she just spilled a huge secret. “Nae sarang? Hmm, seems like you, two, are close now, huh,” Selina said as she looked at Carter and Cheska back and forth. “You’re such a sweetie, unnie, for calling Kuya Oppa nae sang,” Eun Young said teasingly. “He said that was his Korean name. He said that’s what you call him,” she answered. Was she not supposed to call him by his Korean name? Did she do something wrong? Were only people close to him allowed to call him Nae Sarang? Eun Young coughed. “Nae Sarang. Nae Sarang,” she sang. “We are eating. Stop singing.” Carter gave his sister a warning look. “Okay, Nae Sarang Oppa. I’ll zip my mouth now,” Eun Young said as she motioned to zip her mouth. Carter visited her in her room again that night with a hot tea and facial mask. “I think this is becoming a nightly ritual for us. Does Aunt Selina know you’re taking her masks for me?” “Don't worry. Her customer from her kimchi business was constantly giving her these so she won’t even notice,” he said as he put on little pieces of the face mask on her face. “And, just for the record, my mom knew about this nightly routine of ours. She even gave us another cannister. ” “Is it really okay for me to call you by your nickname? Your family seems like they don’t want me to. Maybe because it's too…intimate. That I’m feeling way too comfortable,” she said, her voice worried. Some countries observed formalities and courtesy. Maybe it's still too early for her to call him by his nickname that was only reserved for people close to him. She didn’t want to get in trouble with his family. "Of course not." Cheska was still uncomfortable. "Maybe I should just call you Carter so they won’t say anything." “My name, my decision. I want you to call me Nae Sarang. I like it.” “Okay. Whatever you say,” she answered with a smile. She felt privileged calling him by his nickname. Coz this only means they were really close now. They only met yesterday but she felt like she had known him for a very long time now. Maybe because she saw him at his worst. He also saw her lose control in front of a crowd when she cried to him. She managed to tell him as well the things she wasn’t able to say to others. She never thought that she could be this close to a man. "Do you have a list of things you wanted to do with Doc Darryl?" he asked as he took off her facemask. "Why?" she asked, her forehead knotted. "So you can check it off." "You will me help do those things?" "Of course. We’ve already done the love locks earlier. Why not just continue it.” She shook her head. "You don’t have to. The things on my bucket list were kinda embarrassing.” "Why? Do you have a BDSM sort of thing on your list? Is that why you don’t want to show it to me?” “Of course not! I’m not like that!” she growled at him. “I don’t have any kinky sex fantasies! My list is pure and innocent.” She took the printed bucket list from her bag and handed it to him. “Here. Check it out yourself. No BDSM there.” Her love for Doc Darryl was innocent. He read the things on her bucket list. "Mandarin picking at a Jeju farm." She clasped her hands in front of her. “I want it like the one from the Korean drama My Girl. Romantic orange picking. Just like Lee Dae Hae and Lee Dong Wook.” "No problem.” He continued reading. “Picnic near Seongsan Ilchulbong." He yawned. “Climb to the top of Halla Mountain. Is that it? ” “I just listed the things Doc Darryl and I talked about before. These are the things he had wanted to do.” “Boring. Nothing was interesting on your bucket list. What else do you want to do?” Cheska shook her head slowly. "I… I don't really know." “Dirty dancing? Skinny dipping under the moonlight? Kissing me? ” She stepped closer to him, their bodies almost touching. “Kiss you? Does it really have to be you?” “Well, why not? I was told I am a good kisser. You might want to try.” She gave out a soft laugh and stared at his lips. He had no idea that he was a temptation. How many times she had been thinking of kissing him since yesterday because she thought he would kiss her but he didn’t. Now he was even challenging her? He really wanted her to kiss him? He was not imposing it. It was a suggestion. He was teasing her. She had a feeling that it was just up to her if she wanted to kiss him. If she was bold enough and brazen enough to do it. He was really challenging me. And if I took it up… Cheska grabbed him by his shoulders and stood on tiptoe. Then her finger traced the edge of her lip. “You want me to kiss you? Does it have to be written down on the bucket list?” Carter blushed. "Che-Cheska, what are you doing?" She wrapped her arms around his neck. "What do you think?" He held his breath as he stared at her. He was no longer teasing. He was not challenging her anymore. It seemed like he was just waiting for her to make good of her words. She smiled and pushed him away. "Go and take a rest, Carter. We still have a Nami Island tour tomorrow.”
