But to her surprise, she hugs her tightly. "Ella, I missed you." She mumbled as she hugs her, and a smile formed on her lips.
"I missed you too. Sorry for the last time." She said then they pulled away, it's short embrace but full of warmth as they both missed each other.
They look at each other with joy in their eyes and the smile still plastered im their face.
"Forget about it. The important thing is, you're already here." Danna said with a sweet smile.
The man beside them cleared his throat, reminding them that he's still there.
They both look at him then look at each other with mischievous smile, and the Danna looks at her with a meaningful look.
"We're just talking about the engagement." Rue simply said with a shrug.
As Danna stares at her bestfriend eyes, she can clearly tell that she must be hiding something. But she doesn't want to interfere about their own problem, and she knows that eventually, she will tell it to her.
Danna just nodded then hold her hand. "I'll show you something." She said with a smile on her lips.
"You can't just take her away." Demitri said with a firm voice.
They once again looks at him in astonishment. Rue stares at him with a what-look. It seems like he doesn't trust her enough, that she might tell it to his sister since he knows how close they are.
He looks away, his gaze turned to his younger sister.
"I haven't seen her for years, I have the right to take her away since I'm her bestfriend." Danna said with an annoyed tone, having a staring competition with her brother.
Before Rue could react, Demitri suddenly pulled her closer to him with a speed. Danna didn't expect his sudden movement, her hand slipped away from her grip.
"We're not yet done talking." He roared while holding her waist tightly.
'Is he already acting up?' Rue looks at him with a meaningful look, her forehead a little creased.
Danna's eyes widened in astonishment. "She's not yet marked by you but you're already being possessive." She blurted while frowning.
The siblings are looking at each other with glaring eyes. Rue couldn't help but to cussed on her mind.
"Wait a minute." She interfered, but the two of them keeps on exchanging death glares.
It feels like she's getting a Deja vu of having a child's fight in front of her, just like how Atreus and Althea had an argument. The difference is, she's in the world of immortals.
Since the tree of them are close, she used to witness the two of them fighting with each other, then eventually using their powers.
Rue puts her hand above his hand that's wrapped on her waist, she gently tap it.
"Demitri, I'll go with Danna. We can just talk later." He turned his gaze on her, while she's trying to convince him with a sweet smile and her eyes is almost pleading.
"We have a plenty of time, I'm sure they'll understand our concern." She added when he didn't response and just keep on looking at her.
She gives him a sweet smile while looking at his eyes with reassuring look.
Demitri creased his forehead for a seconds then loosen his hold on her.
"Hmm. What's the meaning with those stares?" Danna said with amusement while crossing her arms over her chest, as she witnessed them exchanging a meaningful looks.
Rue chuckled with her reaction, while Atreus just ignored her.
"See you later then." Rue once again smiled at him then went beside Danna.
Demitri leaned on the wall and just nodded at her. 'This man is so bipolar and hard to read.' Rue thinks to herself.
"See you, brother." Danna says with a teasing smile on her lips.
Demitri didn't say a word and just sniggered at her. And it only annoys his sister instead.
"Let's go." Rue announced when she noticed that it seems like they're not yet done annoying each other. They might just have a fight, literally.
Rue once again give him a look for the last time then they left the balcony. Then she noticed that they're walking towards the garden.
They seated on a round table with two chairs.
Danna leaned her back to her chair while staring at her. "Mr. Luciano might be thinking that the marriage will not be a problem since the three of us are close." Danna concluded as she slowly shaking her head in disappointment.
Rue just nodded to her statement, thinking that it somehow make sense.
"Or he's thinking that the two of you have a special relationship?" Danna added while her eyebrows are lift.
Rue's forehead suddenly creased when she heard her words.
She lean towards the chair. "It's too lame if he does." She complained while giving her a disapproval look.
"But I saw how he was protective over you earlier?" Danna said while looking at her intently with intrigued look.
Rue suddenly remembers his face, his disapproval looks when Danna tried to take her away. She cussed in her mind, she's not supposed to tell her. She almost promised him, indirectly.
She shrugs her shoulder. "Maybe he's just mad because we're in the middle of our conversation when you came." She tried to reason out. But Danna is still looking at her suspiciously.
"He hates being interrupted, right?" Rue added to completely convince her.
Danna thinks about it for a second while they're holding their stare with each other.
But it still bothers her. "He just literally held you." Danna blurted, that made Rue taken aback.
She couldn't lie to her anymore. She knew that she will still notice it.
She leaned forward to her. "You know that my brother is not that kind of person. And I haven't seen him touching a girl, ever since." Danna said as she crossed her arms over her chest and looking at her with a serious face.
