As they're walking together, he's still ignoring her and just keep on walking.
Rue knitted her brow. "Seriously?" As she pulled his arms and her voice almost raising. She couldn't believe how fast his attitude can change, earlier he's a gentle man but now he's back again to his usual frigid self. And it pissed her off because it reminds of her pretentious stepmother.
It made him stop from walking as he felt her hand on his arm. Then his eyes landed on her with a furrowed eyebrow.
"What?" He asked in a deep voice but annoyance can be heard.
It seems like they both have a short temper and can easily be triggered.
She inhaled deeply, trying to hold her patience. "I asked you if you read my thought earlier." Her voice in a low-pitched.
Demitri's eyebrows furrowed even more. "We haven't mated yet, how will I hear it?" He asked in confusion.
Because as far as he could remember, it's after the vampires' mating process, where they can feel and communicate each other's thoughts and feelings.
Rue stared at him for a moment to realized that it's really impossible for him to hear it if he also has the same power as her that's mind reading. She can't distinguish his abilities before since he just occasionally uses it.
She crossed her arms over her chest. 'But he said earlier is just like what I had in my mind.' She thought inside her head. Or maybe she's just too obvious to him earlier to easily read what she's trying to say.
"Never mind." Her eyes looking directly on his eyes. "You're just too good at acting." She murmured ironically then walks past him.
"You're acting weird." Demitri shouted as he puts his both hands inside of his trousers' pocket.
"Better than a two-faced." She shouted back as she rolled her eyes in disbelief.
He just chuckled and walks beside her. And while they're walking, Rue suddenly remembered his older sister, Levana.
"Do you know what happened to your sister while she's at the mortal's world?" She asked straightforwardly without any hesitation as she slowed down from walking.
Demitri suddenly looks at her. "Levana?" He asked and she just give him a quick nod.
He stopped from walking as his forehead furrowed for a moment while staring at her, trying to comprehend her sudden question. He can't tell the reason why she's asking about it but he's sure that she's curious about the real story of it.
"Now you're asking a family-matter question." He mocked as he walks past her, that made her bites her lips in dissatisfaction of his response.
She thought she could get a clue from him but with his dismissal word, she can't tell him to say anything. And she's not really good at pursuing unless it's by force.

It's already sunset and she already changed her clothes into a casual.
Rue is currently standing in front of the library's door. She decided to get the answer she's seeking on her own. Since it's a hidden secret of the family and no one will tell her the detailed story, she's planning to search it from their books.
Their library has the books for everything about Vampires, history, abilities, and such.
She opened the door and looks around to see if there's anyone inside the room. But luckily, she didn't see or feel anyone's presence.
'I have to find that book.' She blurted on her mind. She's referring to the book that she had read before, about the histories of their clan.
She started searching from the shelve where she last saw it. She looks for every layer of the shelve, but unfortunately, she couldn't find it anywhere.
"F*ck. Where is it." She whispered in a low voice as she bites the bottom of her lips, already losing her patience looking for it.
She then tried searching it from the other shelves.
"Are you looking for this?" She almost startled on her feet when someone speaks near her spot.
And when she turned her head to see who it was, she saw Demitri with a serious look leaning on the shelve while holding a book.
Her eyebrows furrowed when she noticed that it's the book that she's been looking for.
"I can tell how curious you are with my sister." He waves the book on his hand with smirk on his lips.
Rue didn't mind his words and immediately run towards him then snatched the book on his hand, she easily gets it since his hold is not too tight.
Little did she know, he already expected her to get it from him. But he's also aware that he can't stop her from doing what she wants. He knows the aggressiveness of her, he's not even surprise how she run away from home.
"Mind your own business." She said as she rolled her eyes at him. She then leans on the shelve in front of him and opened the book to read it right away.
Demitri puts his hands inside of his pocket in his jeans paired with a plain black shirt.
"The answer that you're looking for is not there." He simply said as he stares at her while she's seriously reading the book.
Rue stopped from flipping the book, her gaze looks up to him with a narrowed eye.
"Do you know something?" She stared at him suspiciously.
He stares at her with his usual empty stares. "Either I know something or not, I'm not obliged to tell you." He said coldly.
She rolled her eyes with his response as she scanned all the pages of the pages of the book to see if she can find anything.
But unfortunately, she didn't see anything related to his sister. It's just all about the profiles of the late ancestors.
When she looks at him, he raised his left eyebrow to her. It seems like he's not going to say anything. But she doesn't want to force him to tell anything, she knows how loyal he is to his father.
"Will you just leave me if you're just going to stare at me." She blurted then started looking for the other books. She's eager to know the truth. The death of his sister's mortal lover is bothering her. Because that's exactly what happened to Gino as well.
