It was a fine day, I feel so lonely on my dorm room because Annie is away, its just been a day since she left yet I already miss her, now I'm being clingy towards her.
I tiredly got up from my bed and start my morning routine, I feel so sleepy, d*mn that Icer, he tucked in the research papers on my notes and have me do it because he and Sam had a dinner date, I feel like I want to hit him with a chair later.
I was wearing my heels when Liz entered the room carrying a breakfast for us, she sat on my swivel chair while I finish preparing myself.
"So, why are we eating here?" I asked here.
"Sam and Icer is flirting downstairs and looks like your boyfriend is not around so I took the chance to have my peaceful breakfast here with you" she explained, I chuckled before tying my hair up into a ponytail.
"Ace said that he stayed up late last night so he can't join me for breakfast" I told her, he did sent me a message at 3 in the morning, he really is working hard tho.
"I see, looks like you are fine whoever gets the first rank?" She asked while I took my breakfast out the paperbag.
"Nah, we're still fighting over that rank" I smirked then she chuckled.
Once we are done with our breakfast, Liz threw everything we used on the trash bin outside while I took my bag and a few files on my desk before locking up my room.
The two of us walked towards the main building and saw an unexpected person on the way, it was Sofia and Troy holding hands, approaching the entrance of the building while happily chatting
I gently pat Liz's back, she gave me a little smile and suddenly look behind me so I also look back, I grinned when I saw Zen waving at her.
"Hi Liz! Good morning! Good morning to you too Cursetine" Zen greeted us.
"Good morning Zen" we both replied.
"I'll leave you two here hehe- Zen have you seen Ace?" I asked him.
"So it's true, how cute, he's over there" he chuckled and pointed at their building.
He's on his way here, messy hair and uniform but he look devilishly handsome even tho tiredness marks his face and he looks like he's about to pass out any moment.
"Ace!" I called and his face lit up immediately.
His walking pace suddenly got a little fast and he looks fully charged now, I also heard Zen and Liz teasing me on the background but I ignored it and walked over to him.
"Good morning" he said and I plopped myself on his arms and he immediately wrapped his arms around me.
"Good morning, did you have your breakfast?" I asked him, he leaned down to kissed my forehead before nodding.
"You look so tired" I pinched his cheeks making him chuckle.
"You too, but nevermind, you're still beautiful" he smiled and I felt my knees weakened as I burry my blushing face on his chest inhaling his manly perfume.
"Hey, it's getting late" Liz called and I stood up straight immediately.
The four of us walked inside the main building but I separated from them for a moment because I still need to fetch my homework inside my locker.
I was about to head back to our classroom when my phone suddenly rang, it was Annie's number, I smiled and made my way back to our classroom and answered the call.
"Hi An-" I was cut off when I heard a different voice from the other line.
"Is this Cursetine?" A male voice asked.
"Yes, speaking, who's this? Where's Annie?" I asked him, I'm starting to feel the negativity on this phone call.
"The owner of this phone got drowned and our coordinators are no where to be found, can we request an emergency back up here? Like right now" he said and my soul left my body.
"Yes I'll tell the higher ups right away" I said and ended the phone call before running towards our classroom.
How could the coordinators be so careless? They should be monitoring everyone on the camp, why did Annie even ended up in the sea?
I opened the door and immediately rushed over to where Icer is and due to his shock state he fell on his chair, that's- I didn't mean it.
"What happened?" Ace asked me.
"Annie's classmate called me, there's an emergency at the camp site and the coordinators are no where to be found" I reported to him.
"What? They can't leave the camp during this time especially that the activities are starting" Icer butted in while rubbing his left arm.
"It's just her classmate who called, maybe it's just a minor case" Pierce blabbered and I glared at him.
"Well it was Annie who drowned so can you f*cking cooperate here!?" I burst out then Sam and Liz pulled me to take a seat while Ace handed me his water bottle.
"I'll get the other groups" Troy said and ran out the room.
"Let's go" Pierce said and left the room with Icer.
"Please calm down" Ace whispered while kneeling in front of me and holding my cold hands.
"Please save her" my weak voice manage to say and he nodded.
"We will, I'll be back, Sam," he gestured to me.
"I got it, go now Ace" Sam held my shoulders, Ace left a kiss on my forehead before running out the classroom, I sighed and tried my best not to get emotional.
I'm not a religious type of person but I'm praying that Annie will be saved, even if its almost impossible for them to get there on time, I'm still believing that she'll be saved.
"Calm down Tine, class is starting soon, come on drink this" she manage to hand me a herbal juice she always bring to practice and I drank half of it, she's also feeling anxious about Annie I can tell that.
It's quite effective because I manage to calm down in just a minute, Liz accompanied me until I reached my seat.
I sighed and looked out the window, I saw the academy's van approaching and most of the Core society's group entered all 3 vans and left immediately.
Aside from being rivals, these groups becomes one whenever stuff like this happens. I took a deep breath and tried to put all my attention on the discussion in front.
It was breaktime, the three of us are unusually silent and our other classmates didn't dare to approach us which is a good thing because we might get hysterical any moment now.
I shot my gaze out the window when I heard a siren approaching, we looked at each other before jogging out the building trying to catch up on the ambulance.
The three vans are also following the ambulance but we didn't dare to stop until we got near the entrance of the academy's hospital. The medics- specially Zen got off the ambulance and pulled out a strecther.
My face paled when I saw the person laying on it, she has a lot of tubes and wires attached to her and I saw how Pierce assisted the medics to push the stretcher inside the emergency room.
I stood there frozen, I don't know what to do but I can tell that I'm really panicking from inside. I just came back to my senses when Liz rubbed my back, I just noticed that Sam is already getting emotional as well.
I saw Icer and Ace got out of the van but instead of going to us, they went inside the hospital as well and the Troy led the other group on a meeting.
"You just cursed at Pierce earlier, look at how he put so much effort to save his ex-fiancé" Sam managed to joke while sniffing making me grin and wipe the tears that's flooding the corners of my eyes.
"Should I curse at him more often then?" I joked back.
"Oh he needs prayers because I bet Annie's parents would be disappointed by this matter" Liz suddenly said and we dropped our shoulders.
"Can you stop throwing bitter jokes? It's not helping" I complained.
"Aish, stop it, knowing you, you just want to see your boyfriend here" Sam teased and I rolled my eyes at her.
"Am I the only one?" I argued back and she glared at me.
"Ahh, this two" Liz looked at us helplessly.
We suddenly stopped talking when Sofia caught my attention, she smiled before walking towards our place.
"Sof, how is she?" Sam asked her.
"She's fine, her body is stable because Pierce manage to give her CPR and she vommited a lot of water which kinda gives us relief" she sighed as well, she really got trauma of students dying.
"How about their coordinators?" Liz asked and Sofia became serious.
"They were on the hot spring, the 1st Card already called for them and today's field trip is canceled, the other students should be here anytime soon" she said.
"Sofia, Icer needs you inside, take your vice-leader and Kyle with you" Troy suddenly rush to her.
"On it, did Miracle and Crystal called?" Sofia asked while they ealk back inside.
"Yeah, they already fixed everything on the camp..." Troy reported, I sighed and sat on the bench near us.
"I don't feel like attending the class after this" I anxiously muttered.
"Calm down, don't try to burst out again" Sam sat next to me and Liz sat on the other side.
We sat there in silence, it's just been 5 minutes but I feel like I've been sitting here for an hour already, I kept shifting on my seat and can't stay still, I can't get myself peace when I can't see Annie on a stable condition with my own eyes.
"Samantha/Cursetine" I lifted my gaze and saw the two of them, I crack a small smile when Liz started complaining once again.
I rose from my seat and so did Sam leaving Liz on the bench.
"She's fine, don't worry" he brushed my hair.
"Can we see her?" I asked.
"After a few check ups" he answered.
"We're in trouble" Icer said, Sam pulled away from his embrace and I look back at Ace.
"What is it?" He asked.
"Xiena's family is on the way here" Icer said seriously, now I'm getting more worried.
"Hey it's okay, its normal for them to check on her" Ace told me.
"But you said you're in trouble" Sam said making me look at her.
"It's the entire Core Society, it depends on the students family on what punishment to give the people who harm their children" Icer explained, I sighed, it just means that they are safe on the line cause they were the ones who saved her.
Liz joined in our conversation later on and our topic shifted about the review week that will be happening next week and after that will be the examinations.
Of course I'll work hard to maintain my grades and rank and this guy beside me is not giving up as well (I was expecting that he'll give up for me *just kidding*).
Just like what I said a while ago, we didn't go back to class until it was lunch time, Sofia and Joseph's group already left to report to the 2nd Cards while Pierce and Troy is still inside the hospital.
"I'll fetch those two so we can have our lunch" Icer said while looking at his wrist watch.
"I'll check up on Loraine, where are you guys having your lunch?" Liz said while looking at her phone.
"She's already here?" I asked and she nodded.
"I'll just buy some lunch, lets meet at the back of your building" Ace said and gave me a smile.
"Okay, let's meet there" I nod my head and hugged him before we left.
"Oh? You're here? I thought you still have to cling onto your boyfriends" Liz sarcasly folded her arms in front of her chest.
"Awe Liz even if we're busy with our love life, we will still prioritize you because you're our youngest sister!" Sam hugged her.
"Really??" Liz smiled brightly when we both nod our heads.
We reached our building and we saw Loraine with her unsual state, her hair is a little messy, eyes are red and puffy because of crying I suppose and she also look so pale and tired.
"Loraine" Sam approached her, she gave us a faint smile then we head inside the building to get her change into a new set of clothes since she's wet.
"What happened back there?" I asked while Liz and Sam is helping her dry her hair.
"I actually don't know, I was working with Ashlyn and some classmate of ours when Luhan came running up to us and saying that something happened to Annie- I'm sorry I wasn't able to watch over her" she weakly muttered and her eyes started to water once again.
"It's no one's fault, we still need to hear Annie's side before judging who's fault is it" I commented and stood up.
"Let's go, Icer and Ace are already waiting at the garden" Sam announced and the two girls started to groan while standing up.
I can't help myself but to laugh at Loraine and Liz who is looking at us disgustingly while slowly chewing their food. Sam and Icer are sharing the same lemonade and a single straw while Ace keeps feeding me a few spoons of his food.
"If Zen and I started dating I'll make sure you'll cry your eyes out" Liz threatened us.
"Why would we? I have Ace and Sam have Icer" I smirked and took a sip from my orange juice.
"Zen is a gentleman, he suits Liz very well" Icer inserted then she blushed.
"If I started dating someone from the Core Society, I'll make sure that your ship sinks" Loraine added.
"Oh really? I'll look forward to it then" Ace smirked making me giggle.
"Are you full?" He asked softly and I nod.
"Thanks for bringing the food here" I rewarded him with a kiss on his cheek and his ears immediately turned red.
We were still teasing each other when the emergency alarm suddenly buzzed, Icer and Ace went on serious mode while looking at the red light flashing on top of the buildings.
"I think its about Xiena, let's go" Ace said and the next thing I knew is that I was drag by him towards the hospital, we still have 20 minutes before the afternoon classes starts so I didn't panic much.
I gasp when I saw a lot of cars and men in black scattered around the area, I also saw Pierce walked out the hospital, Icer held Sam and Liz behind him and Ace also pulled me and Loraine behind him.
"Act normally" he said and I nod then straightened my posture, he secretly held my hand and hid it behind the space between us.
This couldn't be, Annie- our innocent and fragile friend.
Five expensive cars stopped in front of the building and we just stood there, Troy accompanied Pierce on his place. I felt my hands getting cold when a woman on her early 40's went out of the car with a deadly aura followed by a man on his mid 40's with a cool and chilling aura, they look expensive on their simple clothing.
"Auntie-" Pierce was cut off when the woman slapped him.
And because of that, 4 males went out of their respective cars and rushed to the woman who is shaking in anger and dismay.
"Mom calm down, Xiexie is fine" one of them said.
"I'll get back to you" she pointed at Pierce before walking inside the hospital.
The older man sighed before holding Pierce's shoulder and gave him a sad smile.
"It's not your fault Pierce, I'm sorry for my wife's action" he said and Pierce just nodded.
"Stop glaring boys and check on your sister" he coldly commanded his sons, they all gave Pierce a cold stare before following their mother inside and their father followed lastly.
"It can't be..." Liz muttered.
"Don't tell me, with a plot like this-" Sam trailed off.
"She's a mafia" Ace answered seriously and my heart dropped.
So all this time, she's been hiding us her true colors from us, I've seen in front of my eyes this is her world, but she already knew my family background, does this mean something negative? My thoughts ended when Sofia and Kyle's group came with their powerful aura surrounding the place.
"Girls, go back to your classes, Loraine head back to your dorm now" she instructed, Ace sighed and kissed the back of my palm.
"Go on, we'll be okay, this is part of our work, we need to deal with her family first" he whispered to me.
"I'll see you later then" I whispered back before we separated.
We made sure that Loraine reached their dorm first before we rush back inside the classroom to avoid getting scolded by our terror teacher.
Good thing that he wasn't there, I plopped down my chair and started to rewind what happened today, come to think of it, I felt drained after all of it.
'But not too drained since I get to see my boyfriend' I pressed my lips into a thin line and rested my head on my desk, can you stop thinking about him for a second Tine? You still have a problem about a mafia girl knowing your family background.
I didn't bother questioning Annie about her family background because I though her family is just owning some company or stuff because Sam's family is known for making shoes while Liz's family is known for mining and Loraine- well she's not that rich, her family just own a small restaurant so she manage to get in here in the Academy- not to mention she once belong to our section but she didn't survive there.
I have bigger problems than that, what if her family were the ones who kidnapped me? But mom said they already eleminated them- it totally doesn't make any sense, I should calm down and don't jump into random conclusions.
Dismissal, Ace called me and told me that we can visit Annie on her private room because she requested for our presence, he also said that she's panicking when she woke up but wouldn't speak up whenever they ask her.
I went alone because Liz and Sam went back to our building to check up on Loraine. I knocked on the door twice and Icer opened it for me.
"Oh shit" I almost said it out loud when her brothers looked at me, Ace cleared his throat catching their attention.
"You're here" I turn to Annie who was still pale, Pierce and Troy is not around, probably Troy is comforting his best buddy.
"How are you feeling?" I asked her and sat on the chair next to her hospital bed.
"Better, but these people stressed me out" she pointed at her brothers and I sighed deeply, this girl, even if she nearly d*ed earlier- nevermind, it's good to see her okay.
"So uhm, Tine, these are my brothers, our eldest Xaiver, the second one in line Xian, our third Xeivor then the fourth Xielo- that makes me the youngest, and bros, this is my roomate, Cursetine, Ace's girlfriend" Annie introduced us to each other.
"No wonder" Xeivor grinned and Xaiver smacked his head.
"Nice to meet you Cursetine, thank you for watching over our clumsy little sister" Xaiver smiled.
"Likewise, uh Annie is a very good girl, it's no problem" I laughed awkwardly.
"Do you want me to get you some dinner?" Ace butted in, he look so annoyed.
"No, I'm waiting for you" I told him.
"Fine, whatever you say" he grumply said and I winked at him, he blushed and walked over just to burry his face on my neck.
"H-hey! Too much PDA!" Annie retorted and Ace held my waist.
"At least we're not the same as Icer and Sam" he smirked and I scold him.
"Icer? I thought you're just courting her?" She asked him, totally ignoring her brothers.
"I am, and my courting package comes with a lot of kisses from her head to toe" Icer meaningly raised his eyebrows up and down.
"Argh! Stop it you two" I frowned making Annie laugh.
