This is it. It finally came, I was wearing a maroon dress with a slit on the left leg, it just look plain so I decided to wear a black blazer to cover up my bare back and have my hair tied up into a messy bun.
After wearing my red heels, I walked over my vanity to apply some light make-up and strawberry red lipstick, when I was done, I smiled on my reflection on the mirror before shifting it to the newly opened door of the closet.
I smiled at Drei who was wearing a maroon suit that matches my long gown and a black tie which I believe that he has trouble tying, I chuckled and helped him with it, he kept blinking like he wasn't use to wearing contact lenses.
"As if you don't wear contact lenses when you were on high school" I muttered.
"What was that?" He blew on my ear, I blushed on a hundred shades of red and took a step back from him.
He chuckled and manage to tighten his tie and comb his hair up neatly, well look at this prince charming, for sure, he would attract a lot of attention tonight at the party.
Sadly to say, he's my fiancé. Anyways, it's a great opportunity to have him introduce to my mother's family officially, though I wonder if the Salazar Family would be there as well- goodness Tine, of course they are, did you notice how close your uncles are with his father?
"Stop it Drei" I groaned and crossed my arms.
"Come now, we're going to be late" he grab my purse on the bed and handed it to me.
"Right. Do I look okay?" I asked and twirled around slowly and he set his palm on his chin, like he was thinking.
"One more thing" he snapped.
"What is it?" I asked and look back at the mirror to check my look.
"Use our new engagement ring" he then walked inside the closet to fetch it, I look down on my middle finger, I always wore the old one cause this holds a lot of memories.
But I love the new one too, it was costumize by Drei personally and it was worth millions of dollars, see how much this guy spoils me? I carefully removed the ring on my finger until Drei came back with the new one, he slip it right through my middle finger and hid the old one inside his pockets.
I went back in front of the mirror to fix my hair from not being too messy, I applied my favorite perfume on myself while Drei waited by the door.
"It's almost time" I muttered and looked at my phone.
"Shall we go now then?" He offered his arm for me to hold.
"We shall" I giggled.
We both walked out of the house and entered his car, safety rears are always the priority so I made sure that I'm always prepared just in case something might happened, this will be the first time that I'll be going to the mafia's territory outside the mission.
The whole ride was silent, I can even sense that Drei was tensed but so do I. Not only I'll be meeting mom's parents- which are my grandparents but also some other identities from the clan.
30 minutes passed and we finally reached the place, the whole place was surrounded by gigantic walls and once we entered the place I was mesmerized by the dark themed mansion that stood in the center and bright lights lit the grounds up.
I also took notice that my parents were already inside, so is my sister and her husband. Drei stopped the car infront of the front door where the valet opened the door for me and I got out, trying my best to act natural but the vibes of this place sends my soul out.
Drei let the valet parked his car and escorted me inside, the hallway was long lit dimmed in white candles just like on horror movies. When we reached the end of it, I found myself standing on top of the grand staircase where I saw everyone enjoying their night.
All of them are wearing their expensive and luxurious suits and gowns, some are talking about life and business, some are bragging their stuffs and money, I also notice a few butlers on the side wearing their weapons under their uniform.
"U-uh, I think we should go-" I said to him.
"Love, this is your family party, we can't just leave, at least in a short while" he calmed me down, I sighed and nod my head.
I spotted my sister with my mom near the buffet table and having a conversation with my uncles, my sister looks elegant on her emerald green dress taking a shape on her belly, she looks like she was happy that mom had siblings- and minus the fact that they are on the mafia but she looks unbothered talking to them.
We slowly approached their place and I evenly greeted them first to catch their attention, my sister gave me a light smile while mom welcomed me with a joyous cheer and gave me a hug.
"You two made it!" She happily said, she probably miss this place that she can't help but feel hyper.
"Of course mom, uncle Luke, Mike, Zake, this is my fiancé, Dr. Adrian Zae Watson, love they are mom's older brothers, the eldest, uncle Luke, then uncle Mike, and the 3rd oldest, uncle Zake" I introduced them to each other.
"Pleasure to meet you sirs" Drei shook their hands and the three smiled at him.
"Likewise Dr. Watson, your family is quite famous" uncle Luke complimented.
"I'm quite delighted to hear that sir" he said like a total gentleman.
"Looks like our niece here has a good taste" uncle Mike sneered and the eldest one slapped the back of his head.
"Cut it out Mike, Cristine, where is your husband?" Uncle Zake asked her, oh yeah, I haven't seen William here since we came.
"Oh he's with dad, Drei, can you look for them?" She asked him.
"Sure, excuse me" Drei gave a bow before leaving us.
He acts so natural even though he's aware that we're surrounded by mafias, is his acting skills this good? I'm really impress with everything he does.
I got myself a glass of wine from a butler before looking around the hall, then I spotted a few people that's not suppose to be here.
Samantha, Lizelle, Xiena, Lorraine and Louanne, of course if they are all here, then I'm sure- I look on my left, near the lounge where I saw Death and company, tss looks like it's not just a family reunion that's gonna be happening tonight.
I scoffed and took a quick sip on my wine and went back to listening on my uncle's delighted voice upon hearing my mom's story about having me and Cristine on her life.
"We're here" dad chimmed in and my uncles attention already shifted to him, the four gentlemen laughed together while mom pulled us somewhere in the room.
"Now you guys don't roam too far, I'll just have my brothers call your cousins" she pat our backs and left.
"Aren't you tired?" I rolled my eyes at Liam when he turn to his wife.
"Gosh you two, get a room" I waved my hands at them.
"Oh dear me Tinay, aren't you like that to Drei?" She smirked at me.
"Calm down love, she's just joking" Drei chuckled and I pouted.
"How do you find the mafia thing so far?" I asked them.
"It's suffocating actually but what can we do? It's the least we can do to make mom happy" Cristine frowned.
"You two, these people are still your family" Liam said warmly.
"Family, right, so we've been eleminating our own kind" his wife retorted.
"Shh now" Drei pulled me close to his side.
"Drei, when did you learn to shut people out?" I complained.
"You're too loud" he grinned.
"Am I?" I argued.
"Okay let's not fight" Liam chuckled, we only smiled in return before mom came back with his brothers.
"Come on children, our kids are upstairs" uncle Mike announced.
As said, we all walked towards the grand staircase where we got our entrance here earlier, I carefully held onto my gown so I won't trip on it.
Drei is also holding my free hand and guided me upstairs. I was also having a short chat with my sister who was also taking grip on Liam's hand because it's pretty hard for a preganant woman to walk up the stairs frequently.
"Daddy!" A squeal caught our attention.
I look over to see 3 elegant ladies in their late 20's and mid 30's dressed in a white, nude and ocean blue dress, not wearing killer heels, all three sharing the same hair color- coffee black, one has a short hair, one has a mid-length wavy hair and the other one is tied up on a fancy bun.
"Ah girls, where are your brothers?" Uncle Zake asked them.
"My son already called them dad" the girl wearing a nude dress smiled.
"Right, you already met your aunt Chrystell, and these are her daughters, Cristine and Cursetine, girls this is my eldest daughter Lala" Uncle Luke pointed at the girl with a short hair and is wearing a white dress.
"Hello, Latheia July at your service, mother of triplets" she smiled and exchanged hand shake from us, she has a nice name, as well as looks.
"And that's my middle child daughter Issa" Uncle Mike gestured at the woman wearing a nude dress and wavy hair.
"Nice to meet you, Marissa Hail is the name, mother of two" she did the same as what Latheia did earlier.
"And my youngest daughter, who just gave birth to my first grand daughter a month ago, Zera" Uncle Zake introduce the stunning lady in ocean blue dress and a fancy bun hair.
"Zeralin Even, pleased to meet you my cousins" she happily shook our hands before their other siblings then came to our circle.
"Boys, introduce yourselves" Latheia nudged her younger brothers.
"Hi, I'm Lexer James, second in line"
"I'm Lazarus Jae, the youngest"
The two have compelling looks like their father but they have different eye color- probably it's from their mother, I wonder where is she? I haven't get a chance to meet her.
"I'm the eldest Maverick Halt, and this is our youngest sibling, Malfred Hue" Uncle Mike's children have the most outstanding visuals for tonight, it's like they didn't put any effort to look good because they already are.
"Good evening, I'm the eldest son of Zake Renzendery, Zairon Ervin"
"And I'm the middle child Zillion Eren, please to meet aunt Chrystell's daughters" the two gentlemen smiled warmly.
"Likewise, I'm Cristine and this is my husband, William" my older sister introduced and William just gave them a bow.
"I'm Cursetine and this is my fiancé, Dr. Adrian Watson" I gestured to the person beside me, and Drei bowed.
"No way, as in William Devon? The young billionaire at the age of 15? And you, the famous family- Watsons" Zairon exclaimed.
"Yeah, that's me" Liam chuckled and I saw how my sister smiled sweetly at him.
"And I also heard about you, you built your own hospital now right? I actually met your sister there, Andrea? She's the one who helped me on labor" Zeralin snapped happily.
"I appreciate the compliment, so far the construction is halfway finished so I'm on vacation for now" Drei explained.
Liar, he still works at their family hospital. After getting comfortable with one another- which I didn't expect my other cousins to be so much down guarded while they are aware that we're from the military- uncle Luke finally announced the party to be started.
The party started for the introduction of the returning of the Mhorfell Princess- my mother, and this was soon overpassed by whispers and cheers, we also have our little part of the introduction but as the celebration ignited the dance floor, we were pulled back on the other side of the room where 2 people sat on what they call 'throne'.
Mom held both mine and Cristine's hand as she slowly approached the older two in front, I look back at my cousins and Drei who distance themselves a bit, only the four of us to stand still in front.
"You still call yourself a Mhorfell?" The man started.
"I still believe I am one" mom mumbled under her breath before looking up to them.
"I may have runaway but I am not a coward, father" my eyes widened when those words came out of her mouth.
"And also because of you, our name has been stained and mocked for the first years after you ran away, do you know how much your brothers effort to put us back up?" The woman spoke proudly of her sons.
"I do, but have you considered the fact that I went through everything and still didn't get accepted by my own parents because I'm a girl?" Mom shut them up and let go of our hands, setting them behind our backs.
"But it's okay now, I have a loving husband who accepted me for who I am and now we have these beautiful girls with us, your grand daughters" she smiled at us, which we mirrored to encourage her more.
"And that is also the reason why your brothers became cry babies" my face wrinkled at the woman's remark, I quickly turn to my uncles who is acting like they heard nothing.
"And we're so proud of you our hime-chan" I smiled when the two suddenly stood up to hug mom.
Me and Cristine looked at each other and giggled, our uncles joined the circle as well. I'm glad that they ended the family fued, at least now, mom is reunited to her family again.
As the party went on, me and my sister, together with her husband and my fiancé joined my cousins in one table, chatting casually and the tension between us is now all gone.
"... And I can still remember that first time when I get to drive dad's jet to Brazil, it was insane!" Zera exclaimed happily and her two older brothers sighed disapprovingly, I grinned and leaned over to Drei.
"Reminds me when sis was having her test flight and she flew to Italy to grab some coffee and almost got arrested for breaking inside the border" I whispered to him and we both laugh.
"I heard that brat, geez, can you forget about that already?" she frowned.
I stucked my tongue out to her while our cousins chuckled at the way we argue, well Cristine and I rarely fight and it's a rare one to fight about anything else that's not food, we're both gluttonous.
"How do you like the dessert cous?" Maverick asked me.
"It's sweet, I like the texture" I honestly admitted.
"Oh, my wife handled the kitchen tonight, so she's going to be busy" he bragged confidently, my eyes grew wide.
"That's awesome, I'm taking home some of these" I sneered.
"Cursetine- sorry she's a glutton person" my sister sighed problematically.
"No problem, I'll let her know, excuse me" he bowed politely and left our table.
"Mama!/Momma/Mami" We turn towards the upcoming 10 years old triplets and their father tailing them, such cuties.
"Sorry, I tried stopping them" he apologized to his wife.
"Aww it's okay honey, you did your best" Lala kissed his cheek before setting her hands on her hips, facing the three.
"Now what do you little ones want from me?" she sheepishly questioned, the three looked at each other.
"Lei told us too" the boy pointed at his sister.
"No, Leo did" Lei pointed at his other brother.
"Not me, Lou" Leo pointed at their brother, Lala sighed.
"Run along darlings" Issa giggled while pinching their cheeks.
"Bye aunt pretty!" They cheered and dragged their father away, I smiled.
They look like a cute family, Lala is cool when handling them too. Our conversation eventually continued but was once again interrupted when a very familiar music filled the room and the corner of my lips rose.
"Would you look at that, it's your song" Liam pointed out.
I laughed lightly then Drei stood up, bowing slightly while offering his hand to me, well look at this gentleman here, he looks like a prince charming tonight, and I can almost remember the first time we danced to this song.
It was a town festival or what they call as "baryo fiesta" in the province before, and of course we were excited because we only get to experience it for once, and it was massive celebration of their Patron Saint there.
After a life lasting feast for foods, the night came on and most of the people gathered in the plaza for a disco, the loud sound didn't even move us and it was fun, it just ended when the rain poured, but unlike the others who ran to take shelter, me and Drei continued dancing to that music under the rain.
"May I have this dance?" he asked was warmly.
"Ehem, you two..." my sister teased I glared her way before turning to him.
"Of course" I answered in delight.
He toured me towards the dancefloor and I watched how the others gave us space, smiles on their faces as they slowly exited the floor, I giggled when Drei twirled me around before catching me on my waist.
It wasn't a waltz, but rather a pop-sway music that really moves to the sensation of our story, a twisted rom-com if I say so. Back when we first met up to now about to be married in a couple of months from now, see how time flies so fast?
"Look at them... I really thought that my sister is a lesbian" I instantly glared at their table making Cristine shot her hands up as she looked away, everyone laughing at her.
"Remember calling me?" I sang the lyrics, Drei laughed before pulling me hard and our footwork strayed on the tiled floor.
I wasn't a good dancer but when it comes to this song- I don't know what happened but my body just waves through the lyrics and with every move I make, Drei knows how to pull me on the rhythm.
When the song ended, we received a round of applause from everyone on the room, we both gave a bow before returning to our table where my cousins awaits excitedly.
"What a talented lady" Lala sneered at me, I rolled my eyes playfully and took a sip on my orange juice.
The night went on and it was getting late but everyone was having a good time to care about the time, much as my sister do, I excused myself to get some fresh air by the terrace while Drei got called on by my mother, and my other cousins also got busy handling the guests, so I was alone.
When I got a glimpse outside, the wide garden welcomed me, newly trimmed grass, bushes lining up to the side forming a fortess shape all over the area a grand cottage on the middle where a piano was sitting and of course some flowers scattered neatly all over the place.
Vintage lamp posts lit up the side walks and a mini playground with sandbox on the far right, huh, looks like a mini park to me, I also guessed that the kids can't be exposed to the public so much so they built a park here for them to enjoy.
"This place is making me tired" I muttered helplessly and walk over the bed rock styled pathway, looking around and the night breeze starts to make me feel chilly.
While looking around the place, I stopped by the bushes of daffodils when I saw a firefly resting on one of its leaves, I use to see these creatures when camping out in the wild during missions and it makes me forget about my troubles and it helps me sleep- at least for a short while.
I sighed and suddenly sneezed, I groaned and was about to start cursing when I felt someone set a coat over my shoulder.
"We should head back inside" my lips rose to a smile when I heard his voice.
"Thanks Drei" I hummed and held his coat closer before turning to face him.
"You'll be back on the field again, I'll miss waking up next to you again" he whinned, I kissed his nose and giggled.
"I still need to get my check up though, also, we should start planning on our wedding, right?" I eyed him playfully, he smirked.
"Of course, mrs. Watson" he held my hand and kissed the back of my palm, I pouted and ignored the blush on my face.
"Let's head back" he announced and I nod my head at him.
As we walk hand in hand, talking about some things I missed after I left, my eyes suddenly shifted by the door and figures, I was about to run away when I saw the people I don't want to meet stood there.
"Well this is... interesting" my fiancée gleamed, teasing me, I glared at him.
"What a reunion" I mumbled and look at them blankly.
