First day of the review week, we have no volleyball practice so we decided to have our dinner first before heading to the library to meet up with the rest of our classmates.
Everyone of us used to scatter everywhere, studying hard for the examinations, but this year is different, everyone is seated on the long table.
Some of them are teaching our other classmates and some are studying alone, I took a seat next to Ace when he pat the chair next to him, I settled my notes on the table and started reading it.
When we are complete, Ace started to lecture the past lesson- even if he wasn't there when it was discussed- I really look up to him because of his unique intelligence.
I copy every necessary things and always caught him constantly monitoring me, he has his serious face but I wasn't bothered by it. Liz amd Sam on the other hand are both getting busy copying almost every word that would go out of his mouth.
Icer is also listening carefully while keeping his eyes on his notes, this is getting boring as time passes.
"Cursetine" my body stiffed for a second before turning to his direction automatically, lightly biting my lower lip when I was greeted by his serious face.
"Huh? Ah, deoxybonucleic acid" I answered right away.
He looked at me intently before sighing.
"Yes, correct. But please do pay attention" he told me softly and I repeatedly nodded my head before apologizing.
I can sense that Liz and Sam is ready to tease me but I only shrugged it off because I know they can't do that. Ace hates being disturb especially if he's busy or doing something important- but of course he wouldn't mind if it's me.
Science is quite easy for me so I didn't bother asking him and let him teach our other classmates instead, I played with my pen and waited for the 3 hours to end.
We still have 30 minutes left when the speaker rang and a female voice was heard.
"Good evening everyone, this is your campus Queen speaking. All Core Society members, please proceed to the High conference firm in 5 minutes, I repeat, all Core Society members kindly proceed to the High court in 5 minutes, thank you"
I raised an eyebrow and look over to the 4th Cards who are looking at each other, is something wrong? The campus Queen isn't a fan of speaking in public unless it's an emergency like what happened 2 years ago- is this about what happened to Annie on their field trip?
"Okay everyone, just answer your activity sheet and I'll check it tomorrow, you're dismissed" Ace announced.
I fixed my things then turn to Icer who handed me something, I took his notebook and handed him mine- exchanging notes is sometimes helpful- depends on the hand writing of course.
"Well that's unfair, Liz let's switch notes" Ace frowned, Liz immediately exchange notes with him.
I also saw Sam switched notes with James, actually this is gonna be a great help for all of us. I was about to leave when someone took a hold of my wrist and spun me around to face him.
"Am I not getting my good night kiss today because I scolded you?" He frowned, I gave him a confuse look before chuckling.
"I thought you're in a hurry?" I grinned and kiss his cheek then lips and he also planted a kiss on my forehead.
"I can always take time when it comes to you" he smirked but our moment was ended when Icer called for him.
"I'll see you tomorrow, have a good night" he whispered.
"Good night" I smiled then watched him walked out the door, I sighed.
I hope it's not a serious meeting- but the Queen did mention the High court that is owned by the Academy. It looks like if that really was about Annie's family then I guess they are not just a simple mafia family, maybe a whole empire backing them up.
"Poor ms. Tan, she's just new here but she already got to visit the High court" Liz grinned.
"You're such an evil child" Sam scolded her.
They both stare at each other before laughing their hearts out, I shook my head disapprovingly and walked ahead of them.
Truth that ms. Tan is not that nice to us since day 1 but we still shouldn't stab her on the back just like that- but what she did before the field trip really pissed me off.
~A day before the field trip~
I knocked on the teacher's office twice before pushing the door open and walked inside the room, I look around to find ms. Tan, sitting on her desk while playing with her phone.
I walked towards her desk and she didn't seem to notice my pressence so I cleared my throat, she looked at me with an annoyed expression before dropping her phone on the desk causing it to make a loud sound.
"Good afternoon m-"
"Nothing's good in the afternoon, is it good to disturb a busy person? Where are your manners?" She looked at me with a strict face.
A vein popped at the side on my forehead as I continue to smile at her, 'calm down Tine, she's still a teacher and you need to atleast respect her'.
"I have to report something about the quiz- this number is correct so I was wondering why you marked it as wrong" I uttered politely then she rolled her eyes at me.
"Are you st*pid or what? Are you trying to say that I didn't do my work properly?!" She yelled at me.
'Yes I just did' I said mentally, good thing the other teachers are too busy to mind our bussiness here.
"No miss, everyone in class have the same answer as mine and you all marked it as correct except for mine" I said.
"How dare you talk to me like that?" Her eyes narrowed like a snake ready to capture it's victim.
"Miss I was just-"
"I don't care! Get out!" she slam her hands on the desk making me flinch, I sighed and left.
Nevermind, it's just one point tho, what could go wrong? It is wrong! Ace can increase his grades in just a point! Argh!!
~End of flashback~
"Babe?" I blinked twice before turning to my side, his handsome face marked with confussion making me look down on my plate to see a totally destroyed pancake.
"Y-yeah? Oh sorry, I got distracted back there" I hissed while wiping the syrup droplets that splashed on my uniform.
"You look like you're pissed, what happened?" He asked me worriedly and I instantly shook my head and smiled at him.
We're currently having our breakfast here at the garden behind our building, technically this was suppose to be a suprise date made by Ace but these people just can't leave me alone with him.
"Nothing, I'm fine" I assured him.
"Nah she's probably k*lling ms. Tan on her head now, she's been silent since last night" Sam butted in making me frown and my boyfriend chuckled.
"As I thought, no wonder- should I order another pancake for you to torture?" He teased and I glared at him.
"Of course I'm just joking, 1 point can make a difference on our grades" he smiled, comforting me and I sighed before finishing my meal.
"Zen, Liz can eat by herself" Icer scolded him, yup Zen and Liz is already in the courting stage.
"Icer, Sam can eat by herself" Zen fired back then the two guys glared at each other.
"Watch your man" Liz grinned.
"You should watch your mouth" Sam smirked.
Now it was their future boyfriends turn to hold them down, I chuckled lightly then turn to Ace and kissed his jaw startling him but he manage to smile later on.
"You little devil of mine" he grinned and blow my ear causing me to giggle while pushing his head away.
"Awe look at you two, yesterday you were totally like Tom and Jerry and now- Romeo and Juliet needs to shut up" Icer smartly qouted making me raise my eyebrow.
"At least the progress is fast, unlike you guys" Ace sneered and handed me a drink, I took it and thanked him afterwards.
"Oh right, I haven't seen Annie and Loraine lately, I wonder where are those two" Liz muttered.
"I'm here" Loraine suddenly popped beside me.
"Why are you crawling? Don't you know how to walk?" I asked her before helping her stand up.
"F*ck that guy!" She exclaimed and slumped her head on the table while uttering a few curses, not to mention that the table here in the garden is made out of cement.
"What happened to you?" Sam asked her roomate.
"Aren't you guys roomates?" Icer also asked her.
"We rarely see each other, besides she often fall asleep before I could arive there, so how am I suppose to know?" Sam raised an eyebrow, then Loraine lifted up her head.
"Can you tell Clyde to get away from me? He's been pestering me so much" she complained with a heavy sigh.
She look like she participated a long race base on her tired body, she still look pretty actually- except for a couple of sweat dripping down her face.
"Well yeah but he's already there" Zen pointed at the front, where Clyde's glaring figure is walking towards us.
"Sh*t, I need to go, bye!" Loraine once again ran away making a certain someone sigh before continuing to walk towards us.
He followed Loraine's running figure for a whole minute until she finally disappeared from our sight before looking back at us.
"Sup Clyde?" Zen greeted with a wide smile.
"A**holes, dating early in the morning is bad for the health" he smirked.
"Hmm? My roomate is also bad for your health" Sam chuckled before standing up.
"Indeed she is, well anyways, I just stopped by to tell you guys that the results from last night's meeting is out" he informed the 3 males.
"We'll check it out later" Ice replied.
We didn't stayed there for long because our class is about to start, all of us walked towards the main building before parting ways, Zen and Clyde are on the same class and that leaves the 5 of us.
It was lunch time when the 4th Cards left to meet up with the other Core Society members so we decided to have our lunch inside the classroom.
"Knock knock" The three of us turn towards the door, and there stood Loraine and Annie with their packed lunch.
The two sat with us as we celebrated our little reunion, well its been a while since we last bond together like this, our group is complete for now I have no idea how long will this last.
While eating Annie is acting so awkwardly, she rarely make eye contact to me now, it just seems so different, is this something about her secret?
I cleared my throat, catching everyones attention while I gaze over Annie who simply looked away, I sighed before starting up.
"Annie, why?" I asked, she immediately look back at me before looking at the others.
"W-what? Is this a-about my family background that I hid from you guys?" She asked softly, her hands clasped together as she tries to calm herself down.
"Annie, it's not because you were hiding it from us, but for Tine. You already know that she came from a military family and 'you' know what could happened if this reaches both your families'" Sam lectured and she nod her head slowly.
"I know that but-"
"Annie, it's okay, you mean no harm to me, the only point I want to hear from you is why, why didn't you tell us, me, because you knew it all along" my face soften when she smiled weakly at me.
"Is that the reason why you're avoiding us?" Loraine asked her, she sighed and nod.
"I'm sorry, I was just so scared that you'll push me away because of my family's background" she sniffed, I chuckled making her stop crying.
"Nah, it's a prank, stop crying why would you think of that? Mafia or Military, I don't care, we're bestfriends remember?" I grinned at Liz's statement.
"But seriously guys, what if you're family-"
"They won't, my family is not that short minded in terms of these things" Annie smiled.
"So is my family" I added.
Does that also mean that Pierce is also from a mafia family? How about the other three? How about Ace? Is he part of it too? Should I ask him? But what if-?
"Then we're all okay now?" Sam asked cutting me to cloud my mind with too much questions, the four of us looked at each other before laughing.
Yep, we're all back to normal. Our conversation evolved eventually and it shifted to Liz and Loraine's dating issue, well who would have thought that Liz's sleeping habbits can attract someone who's hyper like Zen?
Then we have a clumsy Loraine who simply spilled a coffee over the campus King's uniform and he already got attached to her and almost not letting her out his sight? What a love life.
I silently look at Annie who is looking at the two blushing girls with pure happiness, she's the one who teasing them too much, hmm sad to say she's back to being single after canceling her marriage with Pierce.
Speaking of him, he suddenly went to '3 times a playboy' to 'allergic to girls', he's been cold around girls and that's really weird actually.

It was dismissal and still, there is no sign of the Core Society members, I sighed and packed my things up, Sam and Liz is also silent- well can't blame them cause their admirers are gone for too long.
We attended our volleyball practice and was confuse when Ashlyn, Kiana and Althea was no where to be found, our coach and club coordinator said that they are excused because they are quite busy today so we continued the practice with my lead- as the vice-captain.
We performed the drill and started the practice after it, since there are nine of us, I decided to sit back and watch them play. Having 4 players each side of the court, it was easy to look after who has improved and who doesn't.
After playing two sets, the coach decided to end the practice, it may just be two rounds but each set lasted 30+ points- everyone doesn't really want to lose.
I gave everyone a fair advice before we walked towards the shower room to freshen up then change back into our uniform and left the gym.
The three of us walked back to our main building silently, I was deep in thoughts about my decision ealier about Annie, it is really okay for a military and mafia to be together? not to mention that the mafia were the ones who kidnapped me.
And if my family found out about this, they'll probably won't hesitate to take them down and I don't want that to happen, Annie has grew close to me even in just a small period of time.
"Tine, your phone has been ringing, aren't you gonna answer that?" Sam suddenly poke my forehead.
I blinked a few times before shifting my attention to my ringing phone inside my bag, I scoffed before taking it and answered the phone immediately without looking the caller's ID.
"Hello?" I said, Liz pushed the door of our building open for me to enter since my hands are full.
"You sound tired, did something happened while I'm gone?" His voice rang my ears making me smile.
"Not really, nothing happened actually, just starving I guess, I'm off to have some dinner. How about you? Have you eaten already?" I asked, smiling fakely, then the two girls coughed making me roll my eyes at them.
"Don't worry about me, I'm done with my dinner, I'm just doing a few things here in the office, I'll check up on you later" he chuckled.
"Did I say I was worried?" I arch my eyebrow making him laugh out loud on the other line.
"Ace!" I complained then I heard him took a deep breath to stop him self from laughing.
"If you're not- then why'd you ask?" I can feel his smirk from the other line making me smile evily.
"Oh I was just checking up on you just in case- because I thought you were dead for not replying to my messages earlier you sh*t!" I hissed.
"Okay sorry, I just read them just now please don't be mad now, I'm sorry" he softly said.
"Fine, I'll go ahead, I'll see you later" I giggled.
"Yeah, enjoy your dinner babe" he said and I ended the call my self.
"Yiiee, you're so fragile when it comes to him huh? Where's your short temper now?" Sam smirked.
"Shut up 'man hater'" I emphasized the word that used to describe her back before Icer courted her.
"Ouch that hurts" Liz teased.
"You too sleeping beauty, not because you just slept you already have Zen by your side" I snapped at her making her pout and Sam laughed.
"Boys are bad for our health, they make changes" Sam muttered before we stepped inside the cafeteria, well I couldn't agree more.
Me and Annie are inside the bathroom, I was brushing my teeth while she have her warm bath on the other side of the shower curtain, separating the two of us.
"Could it be possible then?" She asked.
I spit the toothpaste by the sink before rinsing my mouth with the clean water that is flowing out the fauset and wiping my lips dry afterwards.
"Well as long as our families think that way, we're both safe" I shrugged, then I heard the shower went off.
"Yeah, I think its better that way than letting them know, they'll probably freak out" she chuckled.
"Right. Well I'll head out now" I said before opening the door.
"Sure" I heard her reply before shutting the door close to let her change.
I brush my hair up and tied it into a messy bun just then I heard the balcony door pushed open, I sighed before facing his tired and handsome figure.
I smiled softly and open my arm for him, he chuckled deeply before slowly walking towards me and wrapped his strong arms around me, hugging me back.
"I said to use the elevator" I rolled my eyes at him, he released from the hug and sat on my swivel chair that's just next to the mirror.
"I know, what's the thrill there? Aren't you impress?" He smirked at me, I crossed my arms in front of my chest, eyeing him seriously making him drop his smirk and cleared his throat.
"Poor Death" I turn to Annie who just walked out the bathroom.
"Shut up Holmes" he glared at her but Annie just shrugged.
"I'll just bring these chocolates to Sam, Loraine and Liz, you have your share on the cupboard, I'll be back" she took a few paper bags with her before exiting the door, not waiting for my reply.
"Okay, let's talk for a moment" he stated and pulled me slowly out the balcony.
Silence enveloped the two of us, I already felt contented having him wrap his arms around me from behind as we both swayed side to side and his chin resting over my shoulder.
I sighed happily and rested my hands over his arms, gently caressing it. I gasped when he suddenly nuzzled his face on my neck teasingly running his nose it on while sniffing my scent, I arched my eyebrow and pushed his head away from my neck.
"That tickles" I groaned then he smirked and softly bit my fingers that was aligning on his lips, I gasp and hit him on his chest.
"What's wrong with you?!" I blushed hard and turn my back from him as his laugh rang my ears.
I was about to scold him once again when he omce again wrapped my arms around my frame, pulling me close to him.
"Sorry, you just look so cute everytime I tease you" he mumbled and I rolled my eyes while cupping my cheeks.
I let out a small grunt to tell him that what he just did was not not funny at all, he sighed and caress my hair gently. He then spun me around making me squeal as he caught my waist making me stare into his loving eyes, melting my anger in a split second.
"My love..." he muttered, I smiled and chuckled at his cuteness.
"Ace this isn't you" I grinned, he chuckled as well before lifting my chin up for my eyes to meet his gaze.
He then leaned in touching my lips with his and separated immediately, I blinked twice before frowing- he could at least make it last for a few more seconds right?
"You know I really love you right?" He asked making me confuse.
"Of course, what's there to doubt about it?" I softly replied with all my heart, he smile and shook his head.
"Ace..." I called and he smiled at me.
"Well, the truth is, I have a secret to tell you- but I'm afriad that you'll hate me for this" he took a deep breath as I shook my head.
"No Ace, I can't hate you and I will not hate you, whatever that is, I'll accept it with all my heart cause it's a part of you" I smiled geniuely at him.
"I know, but- you know what? How about I'll tell you some other time hmm?" He said without removing the smile on his face.
"As long as you're willing to tell me, take your time babe" I said, his face turned red and he stopped breathing while looking at me with a shock expression written on his face.
"That was the first time~" he turn his back to me attempting to hide his face making me giggle then the door opened.
"Ace, Icer's looking for you, it's an emergency, you should head back" Annie called then in a blink of my eyes he went back to his serious amd cool posture.
"Yeah, thanks Xiena" he said cooly making me roll my eyes.
"Yeah no prob, it's a miracle you two didn't make out here today" Annie teased and I shot her a glare.
"I- good night!" she awkwardly said before rushing back inside.
"You're not attending classes tomorrow?" I asked my boyfriend.
"Totally" he muttered.
