Chapter 8: His Prisoner

Scarlett had been tracking the lycan king for few days, close but never close enough. She was determined to seek justice for her family and now she had a chance to exact her revenge. Her anger and hatred fueled her as she tracked him through the dense forests and rugged terrain. She was relentless in her pursuit, driven by the memory of her family and the desire for revenge.
However, as she closed in on Tobias, she realized that the task before her was not as simple as she had thought. Tobias was surrounded by a loyal group of followers, all of whom were fiercely protective of their king. She knew that taking him down would not be easy, especially since she had never seen his true human appearance before.
When she was dragged away in his chamber, Scarlett realized that her chances of exacting her revenge were slipping away. She was filled with a sense of hopelessness and despair, knowing that she was now at the mercy of the lycan king.
Despite her fear, Scarlett refused to give up. She still believed that Tobias was responsible for the massacre of her family, and she was determined to prove her innocence and clear her name. She would stop at nothing to see justice served, even if it meant putting her own life at risk.
As Tobias took her into a confined small chamber, she felt a growing sense of discomfort. The room was dimly lit and had heavy curtains on the windows, creating an eerie atmosphere that was only heightened by the strong scent of his perfume. The lycan king's gaze was intense and seemed to bore into her, causing her to feel nervous and uneasy.
Scarlett struggled against him as he began to drag her away. “Let me go!”
Tobias gestured for her to take a seat in a nearby chair, while he settled into one across from her. He gazed at her intently, his eyes studying every inch of her face. Scarlett tried to remain calm and composed, but she could feel her nerves getting the best of her. Her heart was pounding in her chest, and she had a feeling of unease that she couldn't shake. She didn't know what was going to happen next, and she didn't trust Tobias one bit.
Despite her fear, Scarlett refused to show him any sign of weakness. She sat upright in her chair and met his gaze with a look of determination. She knew that Tobias was a dangerous adversary, and that she needed to be on guard at all times.
Tobias broke the silence by speaking, "Scarlett, you’re now in my control. It would be wise for you to cooperate with me if you want to keep yourself safe."
As he stood up and took a few steps towards her, Scarlett felt a shiver run down her spine. His scent, so intoxicating and overwhelming, made her feel weak in the knees. She tried to back away, but the chair prevented her from moving any further.
Tobias closed in on her, his eyes glinting with a seductive gaze that made her heart race. "Don't be afraid," he whispered, his voice low and seductive. "I won't hurt you, unless you want me to."
As he spoke, his voice had a seductive tone that made Scarlett's heart race. She couldn't deny the attraction she felt towards him, even though she knew he was her enemy. Suddenly, he reached out and brushed a strand of hair away from her face, his touch sending electricity through her body. Scarlett tried to resist, but his touch was too much to bear. She could feel her resolve weakening as he continued to speak, his words laced with a hint of danger and temptation.
Tobias leaned in closer, his voice lowering to a menacing growl. "You're not telling me the truth, and I don't appreciate being lied to," he said.
Scarlett felt a shiver run down her spine as Tobias leaned in even closer. She could feel his hot breath brushing against her cheek, and she could see the anger and suspicion in his eyes. He was now standing just inches away from her, and his scent was overpowering.
"I'm not lying to you," Scarlett said, her voice shaking slightly. "I swear it. There is someone else behind the intrusion in your palace."
Tobias stepped back, his gaze still intense. "Then prove it," he said. "Prove to me that you’re telling the truth, and I’ll consider sparing your life."
Scarlett took a deep breath, her mind racing. She knew that she had to find a way to prove her innocence, or she would be doomed to suffer the same fate as her family. She was determined to uncover the truth and bring justice to her pack, no matter what the cost.
Tobias continued speaking as she remained quiet, "You must understand, that I cannot accept your claims without proof. There is much at stake, and I cannot risk making a poor decision."
Scarlett could feel her pulse quickening as she tried to hold his gaze. She didn't know what to do or say, but she knew that she needed to stay alert and be prepared for anything. She had a goal, and nothing was going to stop her. Tobias had taken her family from her, and now she was here to take something from him.
