The Lycan King
Tobias Richfield walked into the busy common room of the bar and took a deep, shaky breath before slowly letting it out. He had seen this scene many times before: the loud noise, the people doing bad things, and the wild recklessness. He couldn't help but think about all the nights he had spent in places like this, living a life of debauchery and acting like a rude, self-centered man.
As he looked at the wreckage of his old life, he really hated and was very ashamed. The things he had done in the past weighed heavily on him, and he could see how damaging he had been.
He was determined to leave that life behind, so he made a serious promise to start a new journey that would be marked by selflessness, honesty, and integrity. He had decided to start over and live a life of service, trying to make up for what he had done wrong and do what was right.
Despite being a strong and powerful ruler who was respected by his people, he grew up as a street urchin before becoming a skilled fighter and rising to the position of lycan king.
As a child who was born into poverty and lived on the streets, he had to deal with the harsh facts of a hard life. He had grown up as an oppressed member of the pack as a slave. This experience had led him to develop a fierce determination to fight against injustice.
He improved his fighting skills and became a powerful fighter because he was very determined and never gave up. His skill in battle helped him become well-known, and at the mercy of the Moon Goddess, he became the respected leader to protect the rights and freedoms of his people after the long ordeals and battles.
His journey to becoming the formidable lycan king he was today was marked by transformation and trials. Once a young and impulsive warrior seeking glory in battle, his path shifted when he encountered a wise and influential lycan elder who recognized his potential. Guided by his mentor, he began to develop the qualities of leadership and diplomacy, ultimately earning a place as a trusted advisor to the king.
However, behind his commanding presence and respected rule, he carried a burden of a tragic past that haunted his every step. This hidden history, shrouded in secrecy, remained locked away from the prying eyes of others. The scars of his past shaped him into the resilient and resolute leader he had become, but they also served as a constant reminder of the pain and hardships he had endured.
Despite his position of strength and power, he never forgot his humble origins and the struggles that had shaped him. This awareness fueled his empathy and understanding for the struggles of his people. While he projected an aura of authority and respect, he never allowed his past to define him entirely, using it instead as a source of inner strength and motivation to protect and uplift those under his rule.
His sad past, which he hid behind an air of royalty, showed how resilient he was and how determined he was to protect his people. As king of the lycans, he carried the weight of his past with prudence, using what he had learned to make good choices and lead with compassion.
That vow was etched in his heart and gave him the drive to do everything he did. He wanted to be a model of honesty and goodness, and he tried to live a life that would make him admire himself.
Every morning, he wanted to feel happy because he knew that what he did the day before was in line with what he wanted to do. He wanted to finally feel good about himself and be proud of the choices he had made. He wanted to change into the person he had always wanted to be.
If he wanted to make a new way forward, he knew for sure that he had to face the shadows of his past head-on. Taking on the spirit of the person he used to be was a key step in becoming the person he wanted to be.
He wanted to make up for what he had done in the past. He thought that one last act of justice would wipe away all of his mistakes and give him a clean slate on which to build a life he could be proud of and be happy with.
Tobias went deeper into the bar, keeping a sharp eye out for any signs of danger among the busy crowd. As soon as he sat down next to an empty table, a waitress caught his attention.
Her black hair fell like a dark shroud, which stood out against her white skin, and her gray-green eyes were so beautiful that they captivated Tobias. Despite her petite frame, she gave off an air of strength and self-confidence that made people admire her. It was clear that she was strong and independent, which really interested him.
She was the kind of woman Tobias preferred, the kind who would have caught his eye when he was younger and made him want to try new things. But it wasn't just the way she looked that caught his attention. What intrigued him more was her unwavering gaze fixed upon him, as if she could peer into the depths of his being.
Tobias was both curious and uncomfortable because he didn't remember ever crossing paths with her before. As he settled into a chair and placed his belongings on the floor, his eyes remained locked with hers. Unexpectedly, she offered a cryptic smile before vanishing through the doorway and into the depths of the tavern.
He wrinkled his face because he didn't understand what the woman's intense look meant. He shook off his confusion and sat back in his chair, looking for comfort in the cozy bar. Leaning against the backrest of the chair, he took a short break and enjoyed the soothing heat from the fire in the hearth. After a long day of traveling, the chill in his bones longed for the warmth to seep through and warm up his tired body.Download Novelah App
