Scarlett felt her heart skipped a beat as his warm lips brushed against her ear. She knew she should pull away and maintain her distance, but the seductive tone in his voice was making it difficult for her to think straight. "Is that a threat, my king?" she asked, trying to sound casual despite the trembling in her voice. Tobias chuckled softly, the sound sending a warm sensation through her body. "Not a threat, my dear," he replied, his lips still dangerously close to her ear. "Just a warning. You're playing a dangerous game here. One that could cost your life." Scarlett tried to remain composed, but her mind was racing. She knew that Tobias was right, that she was playing a dangerous game. But the desire for revenge burned inside her, driving her to take the risk. "I'll take my chances," she said, her voice low and determined. "I'll do whatever it takes to get what I want." Tobias pulled away for a moment, his piercing blue eyes locking onto hers. "And what is it that you want?" He asked in his curious tone. He raised an eyebrow, intrigued by her response. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but there was something about her that drew him in. As he took a step closer to her again, his gaze was fixing at hers. Scarlett felt a flutter in her stomach as Tobias moved even closer. She knew she needed to stay focused on her mission, but she couldn't help but feel a strange attraction to the lycan king. She tried to shake off the feeling and met his gaze with a confident stare. "I want a power," she said, her voice low and seductive. "And I know that you hold the key to that power." Tobias couldn't help but be intrigued by her boldness. He leaned in, his lips brushing against her ear. "Perhaps we can come to an arrangement," he whispered. Scarlett felt a shiver run down her spine as his breath tickled her ear. She tried to remain calm, but her heart was racing with a mix of fear and excitement. She knew she couldn't trust him, but the idea of striking a deal with the powerful lycan king was tempting. She turned to face him, their eyes locking in a heated stare. "What kind of arrangement?" she asked, trying to keep her voice steady. His lips curved into a smirk. "One that would benefit us both," he said, his hand trailing down her arm. "But first, I think we should get to know each other better, wouldn’t you agree?" Scarlett felt a mix of fear and desire stirring within her. She knew she shouldn't let her guard down around him, but the seductive look in his eyes made it hard to resist. She bit her lower lip, considering his proposition. Tobias could sense her hesitation and he let his hand sliding up her arm to her shoulder. "Don't be afraid," he whispered, his breath hot against her ear. "I promise to make it worth your while." Her heart raced as she knew she was playing a dangerous game, but the desire for revenge burned within her. She allowed herself to be drawn into his embrace, knowing that she could use this opportunity to get closer to him and learn his weaknesses. She remembered one sayings that a man's desire can lead him to greatness, but it can also be his downfall. His desire for Scarlett was not only his weakness but also a potential danger. It had clouded his judgment and made him vulnerable to her cunning plan. She knew how to play on his desires, using them to manipulate and distract him from her true intentions. Just as Tobias began to lean in to kiss her, Scarlett suddenly made an extreme move to break free from him, catching him off guard. His desire had made him complacent and overconfident, and he wasn't prepared for her attack. In the end, it was his weakness for Scarlett that allowed her to gain the upper hand and escape from his grip. "What are you doing?" he growled, grabbing her arm tightly. "I can't do this," Scarlett said, her voice shaking as she tried to pull away. "I won't let you use me like this." Tobias chuckled darkly. "Oh, but you already have, my dear," he said, pulling her back towards him. He took a few steps towards her, his movements slow and deliberate. "You're a great challenge, Scarlett," he said, his voice low and seductive. "But I like a challenge." Scarlett's eyes narrowed, and she tensed her muscles, ready for whatever he had planned. "What do you want from me?" she demanded, her voice laced with suspicion. Tobias just chuckled, his hand reaching out to stroke her cheek. "For now, I just want to get to know you better," he said, his voice softening. "But who knows what the future holds?" Scarlett recoiled at his touch, her mind racing with thoughts of escape. She knew that she couldn't let herself be swayed by his charm or his power. She had a mission to complete, and nothing would stand in her way. "You can't win," he said, pinning her down with his weight. "You might as well give up now. It’s no choice." He snarled, reaching out to grab her again. "I won't!" she said, her voice filled with determination. "Not now, not ever." Scarlett moved very quick and nimble. She dodged his grasp and delivered a swift kick to his side. Tobias grunted in pain and stumbled backwards, but quickly regained his footing. "What the hell are you doing?" Tobias growled, his eyes flashing with anger. Her chest was heaving as Scarlett glared at him, her fists clenched at her sides. "I’ll strike you down," she spat, her voice filled with defiance. The smirk turned into a scowl as Tobias advanced towards her. "You'll regret that," he growled, lunging towards her once again. Scarlett was ready this time. She feinted to the left and then punched him in the face with a swift right hook. Tobias stumbled backwards, blood trickling from his nose. "You bitch!" he snarled, lunging at her again. She took advantage of his momentary weakness. Her body tensed as she summoned all her strength to push him away. With a fierce determination in her eyes, she put all her weight into the push and sent him stumbling backwards. As he struggled to regain his balance, Scarlett quickly pulled away and drew herself up. Tobias recovered quickly and lunged towards her, but Scarlett was ready for him. She dodged his attack and delivered a swift kick to his abdomen. He grunted in pain and stumbled backwards once again. Scarlett dodged his attack and landed a few more blows to his face and body. Tobias was bigger and stronger, but Scarlett was quick and agile, and she knew how to fight dirty. They continued to fight against each other, grappling and throwing punches, but Scarlett was determined not to let him overpower her. She used all the self-defense techniques she had learned and managed to land a few solid hits on Tobias. The two of them circled each other warily, both breathing heavily. Scarlett's heart was pounding in her chest as she prepared to strike again. Tobias' eyes were filled with rage as he glared at her. "You won't get away with this," he spat, wiping the blood from his nose. Scarlett just smirked, ready for the next round. "I already have," she retorted, a sly grin spreading across her face. "You never knew what hit you." Tobias growled, his eyes narrowing. "You may have won this battle, but the war is far from over," he warned. Scarlett chuckled, pulling herself away. "I'm counting on it," she replied, as Tobias made his way towards the door. "Until next time, my king!" Tobias paused and turned around, his hand resting on the doorknob. "There won't be a next time," he said with a finality in his voice before walking out of the room. Scarlett watched him go, her heart racing with a mixture of excitement and fear. She knew that she had only just scratched the surface of their complicated encounter, and that the next encounter with him could be even more dangerous than the last. After he was out of sight, Scarlett fell onto the bed, her heart racing. She realized that she must remain vigilant and never let her guard down. The consequences were too severe, and any misstep could lead to her downfall.
