The sun glared from above, I stared at my neat pair of white sneakers, I was standing at the edge of the pavement as my shadow fell on the road, I smiled at it as warm air rises and cold air rushes in underneath to replace it. I raised my hand as I made different things with it, I know is nerdy to do such acts but come on, it’s the weekend, I need to get my mind off all stress. As I made a .V. shape, I saw something dark getting bigger and bigger beside my shadow. It reached the height of my own shadow now.
I gulped when it raised its hand intimidating mine. My scream echoed in my ears as the dark shadow ended up showing the exact shape I used my hands to make .V.
Suddenly a hand covered my mouth muffling my scream. My eyes were still fixed on the pavement viewing the dark hand overriding my shadow.

"Relax, I’m not gonna eat you." A sweet voice said to my ears while releasing my mouth. I turned around and saw a pretty girl standing behind me.

She was blond, fair-skinned, she looked really great in her black tee and high-waisted dark blue jeans, she has long hair, it was held in a tight bun on top of her head. I bet her curls will end up to her hip when undone.
I stood there looking at her for a moment before she snapped me out of it.

"Haven’t your shock worn off yet?" She cluelessly said

"Why did you walk up on me like that." I furrowed

"I didn’t exactly walk up on you but anyways I didn’t mean to scare you like that."

"I wasn’t scared FYI."

"You were scared, you basically could have screamed the hell out of my ear if i didn’t stop you." She crossed her arms

I rolled my eyes "Hmm…Who are you again?" I asked

"Avoiding my words, that good." She smirked

Another annoying person "Who are you?" I asked again

"I’m Kya." She responded

"Kya?" I questioned

"Yeah, Brian told me to meet you, it’s about the cafeteria stuff."

"Oh yeah, I totally forgot about it."
Last night, Brian texted me that he is busy and he wants me to attend to the new staffer, I told him I wasn’t going to come to work so he basically told her to meet me. Even after I said I didn’t want any work stress, Brian had to just come up with something.

"This is my first time so I don’t know what to say and how I will explain things to you."

"You just have to tell me the rules and how the tables are numbered for order purposes and I think the payment that’s all." She said

"Uhm...Okay, I can do that."

"Great! Why don’t we sit over there" She pointed at an empty bench.
Once we sat down, Kya asked me a couple of questions about the work and the payment.
"Don’t sound that stressful." She said

"You can keep saying that till you start working there, and then you will have to face annoying customer faces."

"LoL! It won’t be a new time, trust me when I say, I’ve met several annoying people and to tell you the truth, some are beyond annoying."

"Yeah tell me about it."

"You know, you aren’t that bad for a freshman, when Brian told me to meet you, I thought I was gonna be bored as hell but you turned out to be my kind of girl."

"Yeah, maybe next time you shouldn’t judge someone by_" I paused when I saw that girl, she’s always where I am, this time she was wearing a regular outfit. It’s like by the day she’s a completely different person and at night she’s something else.

"There she is again." Kya rolled her eyes

"There is who?" I asked

"That girl" She pointed in her direction. "I hate the fact that she’s a part of my group for the science presentation seriously we are in college, who needs a group member? She's so weird"

"You see her?" I questioned
I can’t believe she sees her too, if Amy and Kya can see her then, I’m not delusional, that girl isn’t in my head, she’s real.

"What! Yeah, I do, why did you even ask that question?"

"No, It came out wrong. I didn’t mean to ask you that question but…Uhm..why did you call her weird?"

She scoffed "That girl is a freak, she’s bad news, she’s so weird I’m still hating on the fact that I’m stuck with her for the whole year."

"Bad news! How bad?" I asked

"Real bad, I heard some rumors about her, well, I don’t know much but I think she’s possessed or something."

"Possessed? Like demonic possession?" I asked.
I can’t believe I asked her such a question, I don’t even believe in demons, devils, or ghosts. To me, they are just random halloween fairy tales.

"Demonic what now? I don’t know but why are so curious about it?"

"I don’t know I just…Uhm…..never mind." I said

"No, say what you gotta say."

"No, I wasn’t going to say anything, just wondering how you know about her."

"Everyone knows about her, well except newbies obviously. I don’t exactly know what happened but I heard she was once possessed or something like that."

"Possessed?" I questioned

"Yeah, possessed, I think it’s also connected to something about three…." She paused once she heard her phone ringing "Just a second." She pulled her phone from her pocket and answered the call "Hey stranger." She smiled as she looked at me "I will meet you later." She whispered audibly enough for me to hear.

"No, we_" And she walked away from me. I let out a breath, I have to put two-in-two together, I have to know everything about that girl. I pulled out my phone and texted Kya, I told her to meet me tomorrow morning. Glancing at the time, I realized It was seven o’clock, I have to leave.
