I slowly opened my eyes when I heard a familiar voice, I gulped while looking around.
"Relax, it's just me." I heard Brian’s voice from behind me

"Brian!" I sighed turning around
I felt so relieved when I saw him, I thought I was still lost in the woods but looking at a familiar face calmed me down.

"Relax, you look like you’ve seen a ghost."

"Where were you?" I asked

"What are you talking about." He looked around "Uhm…I’m lost, can you explain?"

"The forest, the screams, I called you so many times but you didn’t respond." I sighed

"What are you talking about?" He raised an eyebrow

"I…" I paused when I realized I wasn’t making any sense.

"Rachel, are you okay?" He asked

"Yeah." I let out a breath "I’m fine, I just…Uhm a bit tired."

"Are you sure? You are shaking and your breath seems to be a little short, you are basically breathing out loud."

"I’m fine, I….Uhm…I." I looked around, she was standing a few steps behind Brian

"Hey, who are you looking at?" He turned back and looked at the position I am staring at
"Who are you looking at?" He asked again, now looking back at me

Doesn’t he see her, she’s standing a few steps from him. How can he not see her, Amy saw her some hours ago. I’m not thinking straight, maybe I need to calm myself.
I let out a breath "I gotta go."

"Uhm…Okay but_"

"Bye." I cut him off.
I turned around and walked away from him. "Oh lord, help me for you are my savior" I continuously muttered until I reached the hostel.

Once I entered the room, I close the door behind me and threw my bag on the chair, I lay on the bed and closed my eyes. What is happening with me, why am I seeing things? I opened my eyes to the ring of my phone, I looked at the number calling, and Amanda’s photo and number flashed through the screen.

"Hey girl, I called you five times but it looks like you are too busy for me." Amanda snapped out at me immediately after I answered the call.

From the sound of her voice I know she’s very upset
"I’m sorry, it’s been a long day and I forgot to call you."

"You forgot?" She questioned

"Hey! Don’t be too salty okay, I’m sorry and you didn’t even call me five times it was four times."

"Don’t try to correct me, girlfriend."

"Amanda please, I’m not in the mood for some type of argument."

"What’s wrong? You are always in the mood to argue." She teased

"Yeah but not today,"
I don’t know if I should tell Amanda about this, I’m not sure if she will believe me, and I won’t be surprised if she doesn’t because I don’t believe myself either, It feels like a dream to me.
"I have something to tell you, it’s very important," I said

"Very, very important or just important."

"Amanda, just listen to me." I scolded

"Okay, I’m all ears."

"Today after work, I was walking back to the hostel, I saw a girl, I don’t know how to explain it but it was_" I paused when I heard a noise coming from behind the door, I stood up and walked towards the door, I brought the phone a little bit down "Alice is that you?" I asked but there was no response, the noise sounded like a whimper.
I placed my hand on the door handle and was about to open it but stopped when I heard a demonic voice
"Open the door!" It bangs the door

"Open the door, you are a part of us now." It banged the door almost breaking it down.

I instantly walked backward, I felt a weak feeling in the pit of my stomach, and my knees began to shake as my lips and limbs trembled.
"Open the door, you are a part of us." It roughly banged the door.

I continued to walk backward as my breath became short "Go away, I’m not a part of anything." I shrieked

"Open the door!" The demonic voice yelled

I dropped the phone on the ground as I used my hands to cover my ears,
"Go away! Go away! Go away! Go away! I’m not a part of anything, Go away!" I cried out.

"Open the door." It shook the door to the extent the door screws began to remove

"Go away! You are not real, you aren’t real, go away!" I yelled

Once the room became silent, I let out a breath and gulped. What was that?

"Hello, hello, Rachel are you there? Hello, hello." I heard Amanda’s voice.

I totally forgot I was on a call with Amanda, I grabbed the phone from the floor "Amanda."

"Yes, I thought the call disconnected." She asked

"Did you hear that sound?" I changed the subject.

"Sound? What sound?"

"That sound, the door banging and the voice behind it," I explained

"Uhm…..Have you been drinking?"

"Drinking! What! No! I’m serious Amanda, did you hear the sound, yes or no."

"No, I have no idea what you’re talking about."

"You know what, just forget about it." I ended the call and threw the phone on my bed.
Once I lay on the bed, my phone rang, I picked out the phone, and Amanda’s name and picture flashed through the screen. I sighed picking up the call

"Before you hang up on me I just wanna say sorry, I don’t mean to mock you like that." She said immediately as I answered the call

"I didn’t pick the call to end it."

"That’s a relief." She sighed

"Is that why you called?" I asked

"You are my best friend, I don’t need a reason to call you but I do have a reason."

"Which is?" I inquired

"I want you to finish your sentence, you know the one you were talking about something a girl after work…"

"Ohh! Just forget about it, I don’t wanna talk about it."

"Come on" She insisted

"No, I don’t wanna talk about it, I am stressed right now."

"It’s okay, I understand." She paused for some seconds "I gotta go, I will call you later." With that, she ended the call.

I adjusted my position while letting out a breath. Maybe I’m just overthinking things, tomorrow is the weekend, and I need to let go of all stress.
