I peeped through my window. The streetlights were malfunctioning as its light flickered. With darkness enveloping the streets, I could barely see anything. I opened my window slightly as a strong wind blew, the lights went off, and then went on. I could see for human figures but it was too dark to see their faces, as the lights went on and off, they vanished.
I closed my window and decided to go to bed because It was almost midnight and I have class tomorrow. I laid down on my bed, covered myself with my duvet then close my eyes. I just don’t know why I keep thinking of Kya, what happened to her was bad and extremely terrible. I just wish her soul Rest In Peace. My thought was brought to an end when I heard the door open, I opened my eyes and saw a tall silhouette standing in the doorway.
"Alice?" I asked concernedly while getting up.
It’s been a couple of days since I’ve seen Alice, she barely spends the night in the room.
"Rachel, I need your help." She said monotonously, not coming into the room. "Can you please help me?"
"Yeah but what happened?"
"Just come with me."
Before I could utter another word, she walked away into the darkness. I quickly wore my slippers and went after her, I looked to the left and saw her silhouette walking towards the end of the hallway.
"Wait up." I quickly followed her behind, it was getting extremely dark as the light kept going on and off.
Walking towards her, I began to study her walking stance, it looked like she’s sleep walking or something like that.
"Alice, Alice!" I called out once the light abruptly went off making the hallway darker. I struggled to catch up with her in darkness and finding the lights almost took forever. Once I got to the end of the hallway where Alice was waiting, the lights flashed and I saw her staring at the wall.
"I thought you said you wanted my help." I questioned
She didn’t say a word as she set apart her right hand "Come with me." She muttered underneath her breath
"What?" I asked, walking towards her, my hand touched hers "Your hands are so cold." I said concernedly to her
She didn’t respond me "Alice, are you sleep walking?" I asked, looking at her to see if her eyes are opened but it didn’t seem there were.
"Alice!" I shook her body
"Sacrifice! Rituals! Curse!"
A panic set in as I heard a terrifying sound. "Sacrifice! Rituals! Curse!" She said once again in a fiendish voice
This isn’t Alice, it can’t be her, her voice isn’t like this. The voice I heard is slow and fiendish it sounded like a dying old lady, actually it sounded like two dying old ladies.
"Alice." I stammered as I began walking backwards, she grabbed my hands and dragged me closer to her, when I came face to face with her, I realized it wasn’t Alice, it was Kya. I sighed "Kya"
"Sacrifice! Rituals! Curse!" An old demonic voice said coming through her
"Let..me go…" I whined
Her eyes opened widely as it began to rise higher and higher, she let go of me as she lifted into air and hung there, in the air, her bones started to snap and crack, her eyes became smaller and smaller, it was like there was something inside her head that was pulling the eyes into the skull.
As I continued looking at her, my body wanted to collapse. I screamed as soon as the eyes vanished.
"No! No! No!" I whined
A sudden breeze blew me as Kya fell the ground and began melting. "No" I whined
"You’re a part of us now." I heard an eerie voice say along with giggles and whispers. I turned around and saw her walking towards me, she slowly walked as if she wasn’t in a hurry.
"You are a part of us" I heard a dying voice behind her.
As they walked closer to me, I reached the end of the hallway, I instantly used my hands to cover my ears when the giggles became louder and louder. I closed my eyes as tears continued to drip from my eyelashes "Go away, you’re not real, go away! Go away! Go away! Go away!" I cried out,
Feeling a breath closer to my face, I whined "Please go away, I’m not a part of you, I can never be a part." I whimpered
"Ooo Rachel." I heard a sluggish eerie giggle in my ear.
"Go! Go! Go! Go! Go!" I exhaled air "Go away!" I loudly screamed to the extent my body reacted to it.
"Go away!" I whined.
"Rachel, are you okay?" I heard a soft sweet voice
I didn’t dare to open my eyes, I know what happens whenever I open my eyes "Go away, you’re not real, go away!" I cried out
"Rachel it’s me, open your eyes." The voice said again. It sounded familiar but I just can’t open my eyes, I’m not ready to face whoever it is "Go away! Go away! I can never be a part of you. Please go away." I sniffed.
"NEVER!" I heard a loud deep pitch shrieking voice after a strong wind blew. I cried out realizing I was surrounded with a sound of clock chimes and ticking. "It’s 3:15." I heard a whisper in my ear.
"No, go away, please." I whimpered
As the clock chimes became louder and louder, I felt my body lifting up to air. My eyes were still closed as I continued to whimpered.
"Racheal, do not open the door when you hear a knock at 3:15" I heard Alice voice "Why? is there anything problem" I heard my voice
"Somethings are better untold" Alice said.
It was like a replay of what happened the first day I came.
I whined when I couldn’t feel my body "Oh lord, you are my savior, save me, get me away from them." I muttered
I could hear the giggles becoming louder and louder, the sounds were extremely loud to the extent I felt lifeless.
"Oh lord get me out of this nightmare." I whined and the next thing I knew, my body collided with the ground.
