"STAY AWAY FROM AMY WISE! STAY AWAY FROM AMY WISE! STAY AWAY FROM AMY WISE!" A demonic voice echoed in my ear alongside it was a guttural growling.
"No! No! No! You’re not real, go away." I continuously shook my head.
"STAY AWAY FROM AMY WISE!"
"No!" I jolted awake.
My head was aching badly as I took a long deep breath. My chest feels like it was beaten up probably because of the rapid constant beating of my heart. I took a deep breath stood up and walked into the bathroom. Starting with a quick shower and then brushing my teeth, my eyes looked worse than yesterday, I don’t know for how long I will keep up with this, I feel so drained almost like my heart and soul have a crack on them.
Once I took a shower, I wore a brown oversized mini dress and high boots. I packed my hair into a messy bun, applied lipgloss, and then grabbed my bag. On my way to class, I bought a cookie and an apple juice box, I couldn’t decide on what to eat the juice box and cookies were the first thing I saw when I entered the store.
Taking a sip out of the juice box, I recalled junior school, mom always pack a side orange juice box for me, and I always tell her that I prefer apple juice but with her continues blabbing about how orange is more nutritious I stopped taking juice box.
Heading into the class, I saw a bunch of students outside the hall basically doing stuff that no one cares about.
As I entered the class, I silently growled at the red sweater shirt guy who sat on my chair, not that everyone has his chair but that is my favorite, favorite because it’s the least among all noticeable chairs. I know it’s weird for a college student to care about some random chair but I do.
I rolled my eyes and sat on the chair next to his. Hanging my bag on the side of the chair he spoke "Hey I’m Max."
I hummed my response and turned around.
"Do like..Uhm…what’s your name?"
I hummed my response
"I will like to get to know you." He said and I hummed my response again. Isn’t my response giving him a single that I don’t have an interest in what he's saying?
"Sorry I sat on your favorite chair." He said
"Hmmm" I did once again
"So, do wanna go out sometime?" He asked
Okay, that does it. I have a lot on my head, and going out with some random guy won’t help me in any way. I grabbed my bag and hummed my response before standing up and sitting on another chair.
"Is that a yes or a no?" I heard him ask.
I turned around and looked at him "Hmmm" I did once again. Not gonna like but it kinda made me forget about my worries for a little while.
After class, I sat on a bench outside with Amy, she walked up to me for five minutes after the class, I could swear that Amy never attends any lecture, seriously I have never seen her in class before.
"Are we going to just sit in silence or..?" Amy asked
I cleared my throat "We need to talk." I said in a profound tone.
I think it’s time I tell Amy about that girl, I don’t care if she thinks I’m crazy. I need to know why that girl told me to stay away from Amy, and how she knows about Amy, she’s never met her before.
"Okay, but I know you said you don’t want any comment on your look but_"
"Forget about my looks this isn’t important right now" I cut her off
"Uhm okay, is everything okay?"
"That’s not the point. I have something very important to say to you and I need to you believe me."
"Okay."
I can’t believe I’m saying this but here goes nothing. I inhaled and exhaled air before looking back at her, she looks so eager to hear me out. This is awkward "Stop staring at me like that." I snap her out
"Sorry, I get a little excited when someone is about to say something important."
"Okay. Whatever, just hear me out, and please no staring."
"Okay boss." She chuckled
I rolled my eyes, and once again I inhaled then exhaled. "Do you remember that weird girl we saw at the cafeteria?" I asked
"Uhm…who exactly?"
"The one you said she’s bad news"
"Oh yes, I remember. What happened?"
"Yesterday when I was about to enter my room, I saw her, she was standing a little far from me and as usual she was staring at me, with just a blink of an eye, she rushed to me and pressed my body against the wall before I could do anything she told me to stay away from you which is very strange because she doesn’t know who you are, does she?" I let out a breath and continued with the flow "And that wasn’t the first time she’s doing this, I feel like she’s always following me. I know it kinda sounds crazy but it’s true, I think she wants me, she keeps coming to my dream and.." I paused wondering what to say next "Do you understand what I’m saying?" I asked
She kept looking at me but didn’t say a word, "Amy! Amy!" I touched her shoulder but she didn’t move, it was like she was paralyzed. "Amy wake up!" I snapped my finger "Amy! Amy!"
"You belong with us." I heard a rasping whisper behind
No, I’m imagining things again, it’s not real Rachel it’s not real. I closed my eyes, opening them the second after Amy was gone. I froze unable to breathe, my pulse sped up, and I instantly stood up realizing I was alone in a dark forest "Amy! Amy!" I called out.
My heart was thumping so loud that it actually hurts. "Amy! Amy!" I called out again.
Suddenly, I heard a cracking sound followed by clock chimes and ticking. The sound embraced my body in a thrill, I used my hand to cover my ears "Stop! Stop! Stop!" I whined
As the sound got louder and louder, I heard footsteps coming from behind me, actually, coming from around me. Some human features began walking towards me, it was too dark to see their faces but I can tell they were seven of them. "Go away! Go away!" I cried out
"You are a part of us! You are a part of us!" They repeatedly said as they continued to walk closer to me. I tried to close my eyes but couldn’t, It felt like my eyes were paralyzed.
"Go away! Go away! You’re not real" I whined.
"You are part of us." A demonic voice whispered
"No I’m not a part of anything and I will never be a part of you." I whined as a robust wind blew, the leaves flew around and a dark vapor appeared to me "Go away!" I silently whined when it turned into someone familiar
"You shouldn’t have come here." It said before everything went blank.
