Chapter 13 Calamity

Gabriel deep in his subconscious he saw a woman who looked like a priest she pointed her hands at her who was bound in chains around her body. Gabriel who saw this made him both scared and surprised and he tried to escape but to no avail. The woman continued to stare at him with a hideous smile that made her want to run away. The atmosphere in the room seemed so empty where there was no one other than him and the figure in front of him.
"You pulled the trigger," the woman whispered to herself.
"What do you mean?"
Gabriel who was about to say a word then saw his surroundings change in the blink of an eye and brought him to his senses. Again Gabriel experienced delusions that made him unable to distinguish between reality and not. Now right in a campus library he woke up with a confused face and then got up from his seat to go outside. Without lingering he walked down the place and arrived outside the room. This time he was confused by not remembering what he did earlier in that place. Gabriel who was walking slowly while looking around suddenly remembered what Seraphine had said earlier. Tomorrow is the day Sera tells her to come to an event held by her family. Gabriel then went to the antique shop he had previously visited. After he entered the place then he looked around that was different from before. Gabriel found a box that looked classic as soon as he approached the box, the shop owner immediately came to him.
“You can't go near the box,” the shop owner said to Gabriel with a slightly worried face. Seeing the shop owner's reaction suddenly made Gabriel back away from the table and immediately looked at the shop owner with a confused face.
"What do you mean? Didn't you put it here on purpose to sell it?"
“Looks like you misunderstood young man.”
"What?"
"I told you not to go near him."
"Oh okay."
"You came here to buy something?"
"Yes. There's something I want to buy. By the way sir, where is that thing? I haven't found it since. It should be around here.”
"What is it that you want to find?"
"A gold pocket watch."
“Hmm.... I've never sold anything like that here. Are you sure you're not mistaken?"
"Hah? Of course that's why I came here."
"As you can see."
"Good grief."
Gabriel who was annoyed with the shop owner's answer made himself then leave the place and as soon as he was about to come out he just realized there was something strange about the place. Gabriel who sensed the oddity then he returned and met the shop owner. When the shop owner met Gabriel again then that person smiled ambiguously in front of him and made Gabriel feel confused.
"What do you think young man?"
“What exactly is this place?”
"Good question. Of course this is my antique shop. Is there something wrong?"
"There is not any. Then I'll go first."
“If there's something you want to ask then just ask. There's no need to hesitate."
Gabriel who turned to look at him then he turned back and walked away. When he was outside he saw the sign of his shop that it was Lunar Shop. Not long after he came to a place that turned out to be an old building around the city of Antherius. He came there because he wanted to breathe fresh air while enjoying the new atmosphere. Gabriel walked around the building that looked like a former temple in the past but became abandoned. Besides being a loner, he sometimes often captures a moment using the camera on his cellphone. As soon as he entered a building it was very dark inside and soon he found a staircase running towards him. Gabriel just stayed silent while looking at the direction around the place which made him amazed.
“It would be great if it was used for filming,” Gabriel muttered as he looked around the building.
“Do people often come here too? If they come here it will go viral."
"Pretty good too. Uh what is it?”
Gabriel was then in an underground passage of the building and suddenly he saw something. He slowly walked towards it. Right in front of him was a broken statue and there he saw a shiny object that caught his eye. When he took a closer look and then Gabriel saw a gold pocket watch. Surprised, he immediately took it with his hand. After examining it, he realized that it was similar to a pocket watch sold in an antique shop he had previously visited. Feeling impossible with the fact Gabriel unhesitatingly opened the pocket watch and as soon as he did it the clock showed the time of day. Gabriel then turned the clock like before and at that moment a melodic sound just like that time made him flinch in an instant.
“This is impossible,” Gabriel said
Just like before, once he listened to the melody contained in the pocket watch, he was then in a dimension that was nothing but a white room and there were lots of roses decorating the room like the ocean. Gabriel was standing right there alone. When he looked around he didn't see anything, only light filled the room before he finally met someone who was facing him. Without hesitation he immediately said what he wanted to say in front of that person.
"Who are you? Why are you here?”
"You'll find out slowly."
"What are you saying?"
“Are you going to follow him or kill him? I think everything will be revealed once you're there."
'I can't understand his words. What the heck, Gabriel thought
Gabriel who continued to be confused by what he saw suddenly the woman in front of him moved quickly and was now right beside him with a sharp gaze and facing behind Gabriel felt a bad feeling until he finally screamed and tried to run away but the woman had tied herself up using a chain of atmosphere that glowed darkly red like blood. The frightened Gabriel tried to rebel and then he was struck by a sharp object like a sword that was in front of him right in front of his forehead. The woman seemed to want to stab her in the head with it.
"You? What are you doing? Who are you really?”
"Life or death? What will you choose?”
'Unlucky. Of course I want to live,' Gabriel thought.
The woman then pointed the sharp object at Gabriel and in an instant Gabriel realized that he was in an old building. His pale face with cold sweat covered him then he dropped the pocket watch which was still emitting a soft melody. His body was now numb and as soon as he was about to stand up he felt a trembling sensation all over his body. Gabriel then took a deep breath to calm him down.
"This is terrible."
His still unstable breath made him slightly depressed and then he took the pocket watch that was on the floor in his hand and put it in his pocket as soon as he finished staring at it. This place felt foreign but also made him feel the presence of other people in an adjoining dimension. Gabriel still felt strange and he then looked back he didn't see anything and as soon as he turned around again to leave someone called him.
'Oh who is this?' Gabriel thought.
"Hello?"
"Where are you now?" said the voice on the phone.
"Outside. What's calling me?"
"Could you come over to my place tonight?"
"Yes, of course."
"Okay. I will wait."
"Yes."
It turned out that the person who contacted him was none other than his friend named Jonathan. Gabriel being asked to come over to his place tonight made him feel compelled and he had no other choice besides there was something he wanted to talk to them about there. Gabriel then left the place and was about to return to his house. Gabriel who was walking while leaving the place then he saw someone watching him from a distance. That person was seen on high ground around Gabriel's location and was seen wearing black clothes with an invisible face. Gabriel, who briefly saw his whereabouts, then when he glanced in the same direction he didn't find anything and finally made him return to his house.
"What's that? man?" Gabriel muttered.
Arriving at his house, Gabriel was shocked by the fire that broke out in his house and burned his entire house as well as the houses of his neighbors around the complex. The fire brigade tried to put out the fire but they found it a little difficult. In his house, which is now only visible fire, fortunately there were no casualties. Unlike the next door neighbor's house which killed the whole family in that place. Gabriel with a blank face and then accidentally dropped his cellphone which he was holding then he felt frustrated by this incident. The police came to secure the residents and as soon as he did not believe the police immediately took him as a survivor of the fire. Arriving at the police station and being questioned, Gabriel honestly didn't know anything. His testimony was indeed true that Gabriel was not at the location at the beginning of the incident.
"You go back to your relative's house for a while," said a policeman to Gabriel.
"Oh, one more thing. if there is anything contact us.”
"Yes."
Weakly himself then he was about to go to a place that was none other than the house of his friend named Samuel.

Creativity that sharpens clarity is genius.” I put this first because it's the most important tip you can take from this list. If you do nothing more than write clearly, you're going to be in the top 10% of all writers. Don't try to sound impressive, just try to be clear.

The writing is actually good, unlike most of the novel in this app it has great grammar, not my type of book since it's a crime genre but i recommend it to those who likes that type of book.
