Chapter 19 Profound Grief

Today Seraphine is on a riverbank near the highway which is often used by some as a place for jogging. There a man who looked the same age as her came to Sera with a flat face like a lazy person. From his appearance, it can be seen how he wears a magenta blue hoodie with black pants and a black hat. Seraphine, who was annoyed by his presence, made her look snotty in responding to every conversation that the person said with the intention of making her go away and not bothering her. Seeing her confused expression, the man seemed to feel sorry for her because that made Seraphine feel sick of her existence.
“At least you don't have to think about ending your life. Do you think this river is not deep?” said the man, throwing stones into the river.
"I told you not to interfere. Do you know what huh?!”
"Your face."
"What?"
"Your face can't hide it. The sadness you are experiencing is clearly visible on your face. Didn't you also reflect in the water?"
"Bastard."
"Keep going. Get out of your head until you feel relieved.”
"Irritating."
"Your name. What's your name?"
“Seraphine Yves. Satisfied?"
"Have you been here the whole time? A good choice. To relieve stress it is right to come to this place.”
"What are you doing? Why are you talking casually? No. I'm not stressed."
"Yes. Up to you. Oh yes, my name is Gabriel. Gabriel Alegria. See you later."
Seraphine then looked at Gabriel who had just left her. With a teary face Sera kept looking at the direction the person went and now her face that was visible in the water became much more chaotic than before. Their meeting started with a small dispute. But it made a deep impression on Seraphine. His words that kept running through his mind made Sera finally rise from her slump. His adoptive parents, who were always obsessed with perfection and often tortured him for not being in line with his expectations, made Seraphine's mentality increasingly eroded until she intended to end herself. All her memories kept coming back until one day when her mother tortured her again because Sera didn't look perfect at the opera show, she had to endure the misery. Inadvertently at that time when Sera was about to be hit with a chair suddenly something magical appeared inside her and made the chair her mother was holding shattered without a trace. Since then, her adoptive parents began to leave Sera with the excuse that they had to go abroad and never came back even after graduating from school.
His life that changed in the blink of an eye finally made him have to leave the city to continue his dream of becoming an artist. Sera then lives in the city of Antherius, although there are many obstacles in her life and sometimes make her trauma recur, but everything can go well. And did not expect Sera to meet again with Gabriel. They began to become close thanks to their meeting at a cultural festival and then meeting again at a mini gallery where Gabriel works. The memories that had been in his head seemed so bright when Sera met and made friends with Gabriel. But everything was unexpected. Disaster hit him and had to lose his life when his heart was poured out to the person who made him feel a little warm.
"I think this is very painful," said Gabriel, who was in a public cemetery in front of the grave of the late Seraphine.
"How long are you going to stand there? Hurry home this is not your fault. Everything happened because of fate,” said Samuel who was also there holding a black umbrella.
The rain that was falling was getting heavier and there the two of them who were still standing in front of Seraphine's grave slowly started to leave the place. now right in a place that turned out to be a cafe bar. Gabriel looked drunk and continued to drink the vodka in front of him until he felt a little dizzy. The memories of where he and Sera had met began to appear and continued to stick in his brain like glue. It was getting late everyone in this bar had a similar condition to him. The silence and the sound of the bartender making drinks make this place seem like an escape. Gabriel who was still looking at his glass and not long after drinking the drink in front of him. Feeling dizzy and also sore now makes him feel more depressed and continuously. In a different place, Samuel is enjoying his solitude where he looks calm with the sight of the rain in front of his eyes. This time he was at a convenience store caught in the rain when he was going to buy beer.
"It's raining a lot," Samuel muttered.
Jonathan who now came to a cafe bar and then he saw Gabriel who was pensive alone made him come to greet him. Previously Jonathan had not attended Seraphine's funeral because he did not know her at all. when he heard the news from Samuel, he finally decided to find out where Gabriel was and as he expected, he must be in this place.
"You've had too much to drink," said Jonathan, who had just arrived and sat down.
"You? Get over here."
"I've heard everything. Are you really feeling frustrated?”
"You think it wouldn't make you like this if you were in my position?"
“It was very frustrating. Oh yeah, don't you feel strange about this incident?"
"What's weird?"
"How could it be hit by the rubble if there wasn't a trigger."
"You mean someone did that on purpose?"
"This is just my assumption. It's up to you to believe it or not. It just doesn't seem like a coincidence. Right?”
“I think your conclusion makes sense too.”
"So, what are you going to do?"
"Who knows. After all, Sera is just an acquaintance of mine."
"So sad."
Their conversation went on for quite a while and continued to make Gabriel drink more and more until he was barely conscious. The allegations made by Jonathan did make sense to Gabriel and it immediately made him feel moved to report it to the police. Moments later in a place that looks like a private room. A person sitting in his chair facing the window looking at the world being hit by the rain. The person was seen grinning and then lightning flashed behind the window making the atmosphere even more tense. This time Samuel came to his house and not long after that a taxi came to his house and stopped in front of his door. There came down a man who turned out to be Gabriel. Samuel immediately went to him and then carried Gabriel who was under the influence of alcohol into his house and then put Gabriel on the sofa.
"Irritating. Until the end you still bothered me,” Samuel muttered subconsciously.
"Hey. How much did you drink?"
After Gabriel arrived at Samuel's house, with a drunken look on his face he fell asleep for quite a while. The next day when he realized it was already late to go to college because it was supposed to be morning but he just woke up when the clock showed 12 noon. Feeling dizzy, Gabriel immediately looked for a hangover medication and found it in a drawer near the computer desk.
"My head hurts so much. unlucky. Why also drink this much,” Gabriel grumbled.
Today at the museum where Leo works. He had already started planning to carry out his duties and then he drafted a document that was useful for making a report that he would submit to Mr. Thomas. Remembering Mr. Thomas, who had not come to work for several days, suddenly made him feel worried about his boss's condition. It wasn't long before Leo had to meet a visitor who asked him to meet him. The visitor turned out to be Gilbert, who was his senior on campus. Leo and Gilbert chatted in his study.
"How long have you worked here?" Gilbert said to the curious Leo.
"After the madam left the world."
"Not long ago it turned out. By the way do you feel comfortable here?”
"Of course. Besides, it's not much different from the madam's gallery."
“I think it looks different here. Maybe it's just my opinion."
"What's different?"
"Ah no. Maybe this is my first time coming here.”
"Then you should come here more often."
"Yes. If there is time."
'Apparently Leo hasn't noticed yet,' Gilbert thought.
"Oh yeah how about your job? Are you still working there?”
"Right. I'm still working at Vionna's house."
"How are the kids there? Are they very good? I haven't been there in a long time."
“They are still as usual healthy and cheerful. Oh yes, lately a lot of children have come because their families have abandoned them. That's why we brought them there."
“Looks like it will be very crowded.”
"Yes. Not many anymore. it even feels really good.”
"I thought you would say something like that."
Their conversation ended here because Gilbert had to go to work and now his break was running out. That's why Gilbert immediately said goodbye to leave. Leo, who was standing in his room, then returned to touch his work. now the activity starts again as before and so on. At Samuel's residence, Gabriel is still drunk and now he has to go to the toilet to throw up all his guts and he has done that three times. The hangover medicine was not effective enough. After feeling helpless because of the alcohol, he then lay down on the sofa and then exhaled as if it was a sign of regret. Seeing his condition like that for a moment he unintentionally cursed all of this and then returned to lamenting his regret. an hour later everyone in the class dispersed because the class was over. Samuel who was walking around the corridor was suddenly startled by Jonathan who came.

Creativity that sharpens clarity is genius.” I put this first because it's the most important tip you can take from this list. If you do nothing more than write clearly, you're going to be in the top 10% of all writers. Don't try to sound impressive, just try to be clear.

The writing is actually good, unlike most of the novel in this app it has great grammar, not my type of book since it's a crime genre but i recommend it to those who likes that type of book.
