Chapter 27 Puzzle

Leo, who was still confused by what had happened to him, soon felt something strange in his memory. It was right before what happened to all of them. Under the eclipsed sky several strangers were seen arriving from the opposite direction. They were all wearing black clothes like robes and felt strange in their presence. The horrible sensation felt so real. Leo, who only saw a glimpse then he didn't remember what happened after that. And as soon as he opened his eyes he was already in a room that turned out to be owned by a detective named Jake French. Curiosity grew in him and made him keep thinking until he couldn't rest in peace. Tonight is a full moon, the light that illuminates the darkness of the night looks so hypnotic. The sound of people having a party in a residence belonging to someone feels so exciting. They drank alcohol and continued to get drunk with the women beside them. Unfortunately the crowd felt unreasonable. They kept on dancing and even doing other crazy activities under the full moon. In a room not far from the banquet hall, someone sat in his chair holding a glass filled with wine. It wasn't long before he drank the alcohol and left the room to join the madmen in the hall. His footsteps sounded so loud the man kept a sharp look on his face. Arriving at the party hall, he saw all of them who had lost their minds as a result of the alcohol and drugs he had consumed. The man just smirked at the sight in front of his eyes as if he really enjoyed it.
"Wow, you're all having fun," the man said to those in the hall.
"Oh sir, why did you just come. You should have come earlier so you can have fun with us,” said the blond man.
"Soon. everyone killed themselves!”
"Eh? What do you mean?
"Why do we have to kill ourselves?"
They kept whispering with confusion within themselves. It wasn't long before in the midst of the confusion their bodies moved on their own and killed each other. the man continued to stare at the gruesome scene before him with a smile as if he was satisfied with it. the people who had been partying full of joy then in the blink of an eye turned into mass suicide in front of their master. the room was now bathed in blood and the bodies of the people were scattered in the room. The man was enjoying it while laughing.
"Finally, it's a relief," said the man with a sinister look.
Tonight under the full sky a terrible ritual has just been carried out by the man who is none other than the owner of the place. The city where he was currently located was none other than a city in the northern part of the Fedelion country, namely Eldenius. The destruction that only had a small impact on this region even had almost no casualties made him avoid death. The atmosphere was so cold that it was suffocating the longer in this place the more they felt their presence. People prefer to isolate themselves as a result of evil entities that haunt them for a long time. In contrast to the situation in Antherius where they were all in a struggle on the verge of suffering and even death. Hope is gone, all that's left is pain. Some people who are believed to be part of a human protection organization they try to find out the truth hidden behind this tragedy.
"Gabriel, it's time to change the bandage," a medic told him, who was lying weakly on a bed.
"Yes. Sister, how is Samuel? Did you guys find that person?”
“Samuel still hasn't come to his senses. However, you don't need to worry that his life can still be saved."
"I'm grateful. But can I see him?"
"Of course. If your condition has improved."
"Sister, I have something to ask you."
"Yes. What's that? just say it."
"What's your name?"
"Eh? I'm Lucy."
"Okay Lucy, who are they exactly? The people who brought us the victims. There was something about them that wasn't normal. Did you know that?”
"Sorry. But..."
"It's fine if you don't want to say it. I totally understand. Keeping that secret is part of your job, right?”
Gabriel's words immediately made Lucy gasp until she swallowed hard. His confused face made Gabriel even more sure of his conjecture.
"If you're not going to pass it on I guess I'll believe you."
Gabriel immediately smirked at what Lucy had just said.
"Of course. How could I betray."
'What a bother,' Gabriel thought.
“We are part of a human protection organization. That's why our job is to help all of you when disaster strikes."
“Human protection organization? Since when was there something like that?”
“Our existence has existed for a long time. However, the exact year no one knows. That's the only information we know, the rest we just do what the boss tells us to do."
"I see. I understand. Thanks Lucy for telling me. Oh yeah one more thing, this disaster are you sure it's just a disaster?"
"Eh? That, I can't explain in detail because I don't know anything.”
'What the hell is this woman. There's no way you don't know anything you liar,' Gabriel thought
"Hah? I'll just find out for myself. You may go," Gabriel said to Lucy in a cold tone.
"But if you really want to know more I suggest you don't dig too deep. I'm sorry."
"What? warning apparently. I don't care," Gabriel grumbled
Tonight in their hiding place they are busy dealing with the victims who are still in critical condition. The officers did seem to help them, however, behind these actions, there was a question mark. People just complain about their suffering without realizing what is the meaning behind it all. Antherius was now reduced to human dust and there was little left and soon some people might die from their deteriorating condition. There are no hospitals left. The town next door was also in the same condition and they couldn't even help. Although not as bad as Antherius, the impact that happened to them was only psychological. Now in a room which is where Leo is hiding. He still woke up and then checked his condition which was quite improving. Slowly trying to sit up and it worked without feeling any pain in his body.

Creativity that sharpens clarity is genius.” I put this first because it's the most important tip you can take from this list. If you do nothing more than write clearly, you're going to be in the top 10% of all writers. Don't try to sound impressive, just try to be clear.

The writing is actually good, unlike most of the novel in this app it has great grammar, not my type of book since it's a crime genre but i recommend it to those who likes that type of book.
