“I'm so glad that I have you guys to help me get through the class, I hate physical activities" Andrea grumbled. Claire patted her head.
“There..there, it's not that bad. I happen to enjoy physical activities," She said simply. Andrea glared hard at her.
“Don't you dare lie to me, you just like it because boys are there" Claire playfully gasped.
“Don't accuse me of something I clearly do" They both laughed at her words even Rose cracked a smile.
“What about you Rose?How do you feel about this?" Claire asked her, she shrugged.
“I don't mind," She said simply. They both smiled at her.
“Good now let's go...." Someone's phone beeped. Andrea and Claire checked their phone but it wasn't theirs.
“It's mine," Rose said quietly before opening the message to read it.
(Unknown): “Hey, are you going to the field now?My team's about to play” She furrowed her eyebrows at the message.
(Me): “Who is this?". Her phone beeped.
(Unknown):“So you don't have my number?, I'm hurt". She rolled her eyes at the message and decided to just block the number when the person replied again.
(Unknown): “It's Aiden”. She glared hard at the phone. Meanwhile Claire and Andrea just stood there and watched her reactions.
(Me): “ How in God's name did you get my number" the phone beeped.
(Unknown): “I have my ways plus..I may have stolen it from Andrea" Before she had time to reply the phone beeped again.
(Unknown): “I have to go now, you guys should come watch me play. P.S save my number" she groaned before locking her phone and throwing it into her backpack. She turned to look at Andrea and Claire who were staring at her with suspicion.
“What?" She asked
“Who texted you?" Claire asked. For some reason Rose began to blush.
‘Fuck it, they are going to think something is up' she said to herself.
“It...it was Aiden" She said with her head down so as to hide her blush. Claire's eyes widened.
“Are you dating Aiden?" She asked out loud. People passing by turned to look at them. Andrea glared at Claire then smacked her head.
“Owww!!" Claire groaned but Andrea ignored her. She turned to Rose.
“What does he want?" She questioned
“He said he wants us to come watch his game and that it's about to start" She said simply. Claire gasped.
“It's about to start??!! What are we still doing here, come on!!" She grabbed both Andrea and Rose's hands and dragged them to the field.
As soon as they got there, Aiden and his team were already on the field and were in position. Claire squealed.
“We need to sit at the front guys, come on, hurry!!" She walked towards an empty seat in the front with Rose and Claire behind her.
“Wow!!, I'm surprised there's even an empty seat and even more surprised that it's in the front," Andrea said out loud.
“I know right?All in all I'm glad," Claire said. As soon as the game started, all the girls started chanting Aiden's name.
“Oh my God he's so handsome when he's playing basketball" A girl behind them said.
“I love him so much"
“Back off sluts he's mine" Stella said as she walked up to where Rose, Claire and Andrea were seated. Andrea scoffed.
“In your dreams" She said. Stella narrowed her eyes on her.
“What did you just say?" Andrea opened her mouth to say something back but then Aiden scored a goal. Everyone stood up from their seats to cheer for him including Rose. Aiden stood in the middle of the field and was looking through the crowd like he was looking for something, he's eyes then suddenly fell on Rose. She froze.
“Oh my God, are we about to witness something cliche?" Claire squealed as she saw Aiden looking at Rose. All the girl behind them had started murmuring while Stella threw glares at her but her whole attention was on the boy who stood in the middle of the field, staring at her. They stared at each other for a while before he broke out into a full on dimpled smile. Rose sucked in her breath as he walked closer to where she sat.
“Andrea are you seeing this?It's like in a novel!!" Claire said giddily to Andrea but Andrea gaze was fixed on someone else on the field who was staring back at her.
“You came" Aiden said to Rose as soon as he got to where she was. Rose looked around her and saw everyone's attention was on them. She frowned at him.
“I didn't come for you and by the way everyone is staring at us" She whispered to him.
“At least you came, that's enough for me" He smiled at her. She felt like she couldn't breath so she abruptly stood up from her chair and ran out of the field. Everyone gasped. Andrea glared at him.
“See what you've done, I'll go talk to her" Andrea said. He held her down as she tried to stand up.
“I'll do it" He assured before running out of the field.
“Calm down Rose, what's wrong with you huh?" She tugged at her hair as she paced the hallway.
“You went there because of Claire not because of him, right?" She tried to reassure herself. She took a deep breath and tried to calm her nerves.
“Is something wrong?" She abruptly turned to the voice.
“Aiden! What are you doing here?" She stared at him in disbelief.
‘Why is this boy tormenting me ?' she asked herself.
“I thought I had upset you so I came to check up on you" He's eyes held so much warmth that she felt like crying.
“Why are you doing this to me?" He stared back at her in confusion.
“What did I do?"
“Why won't you leave me alone?Stop caring for me. I don't want it" She said firmly. He stood there, staring at her for a while before he moved closer to her.
“What are you afraid of?" He asked gently. She stared into his grey eyes which still looked at her with warmth.
“Everyone that's ever shown me this kind of care always wanted something from me or wanted to use me, I'm tired of it." She said softly. He smiled sadly at her then caressed her face. She flinched a bit which didn't go unnoticed by him.
“All I have to say is that I'm sorry I wasn't there for you in the past but I'm here now and I don't plan on leaving" She shook her head and tried to move away from him but he held her face.
“I want to be here for you.. I... I don't know why but I want to be here for you....with you. Let me help you forget your past" He said softly to her. She stared at him for a while before prying his hands off her face. She moved far away from him and was about to walk away when she halted and took a deep breath.
