Favorite spot

Steven laid in the bed and looked at Andrea as she tried to catch her breath. She turned to him and smiled.
“I thought you weren't going to see the letter" She suddenly said.
“I knew you wouldn't enter into the boy's locker room just for Aiden's keys and besides, you laid it right above my clothes so I couldn't miss it" He said then chuckled. Andrea snuggled into his chest.
“I don't want this day to end," She murmured. Steven caressed her back.
“It will only get better from here" He promised.
“Andrea? Are you awake??" Emily said from the other side of the door. Steven's eyes widened as he stared at the door before looking back at Andrea. Andrea turned and took a remote from the bedside table and turned off the soundproof.
“Yes but I'm very tired," She replied.
“Alright, the doctor said I should give you this medicine," Emily replied.
“Open the door," she added. Andrea at Steven with frantic eyes. She bent her head and kissed him hard.
“I'll see you later, go now" She whispered to him. He kissed her back before standing up and hurriedly wearing his clothes.
“I'm coming mom, I just wanna use the bathroom real quick" She tried to stall. Steven moved towards the window and was about to jump out when Andrea ran towards him and kissed him again.
“Text me" She said firmly. He smiled at her before climbing the window and jumping down. Andrea breathed out before wearing one of her big shirts.
“Mother, I don't need any medicine," Andrea said as she opened the door. Emily frowned at her before walking into the room and sat on the bed.
“The doctor said it will bring down your fever, come on" she patted the spot close to her on the bed “Sit" she commanded. Andrea rolled her eyes but did as told.
“Things I do for love" she said to herself.
“Where are you taking me?" Rose asked as Aiden led her towards his car. He turned to her.
“My favorite spot" She yanked her hand out of his grasp.
“I thought your favorite spot was in this school," She said.
“No but it's not that far from here." She stared at him with doubt.
“If I leave with you, I'll miss the 5th period," She concluded. He sighed.
“It's only for one day hmm?, Come on" He persuaded. She huffed in hesitation.
“It's not that far?" She asked. Aiden nodded vigorously.
“Yes, it's not. It's just down the road" He opened the door of the front seat and motioned for her to get in. She sighed before climbing into the car. Aiden smiled to himself as he rounded the car and climbed into the driver's seat.
“So where is this special place?" Rose asked as soon as they were on the road. Aiden smiled.
“You'll see," He said simply. She scowled at him but decided to remain quiet.

“An ice cream parlor?" She asked with surprise. Aiden nodded his head as he parked the car.
“This is your favorite place? An ice cream parlor?" He nodded again.
“Where did you think it was going to be?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. She shrugged.
“Anywhere but here" He smiled at her.
“Let's go in"
As soon as they stepped into the parlor, all the girls and ladies present turned to stare at Aiden. Rose saw all of them but Aiden wasn't paying any attention. She looked up and admired his face. He was very handsome, she could understand the ladies.
“Is something on my face?" He asked as they reached the counter. She shook her head slightly to clear her thoughts.
“No," She said and turned to the person in front of them.
“What are you going to order?" She asked him. He turned to the different display of ice cream.
“I'll have chocolate and cookies and cream" He said to the person and she quickly carried on with the order. She grimaced at his choices.
“Is something wrong?" He asked after he saw her expression.
“I just have chocolate ice cream" He stared at her with a raised eyebrow.
“First time I'm hearing someone hates chocolate ice cream" He said incredulously.
“What about you?" He added.
“I'll have vanilla and white chocolate please" The person nodded at her and carried on with her order.
“Oh I see, most people who like Vanilla ice cream tend to hate the chocolate one" He stared at her as he said.
“Or maybe it just doesn't taste as good" Aiden fake gasped.
“How dare you?" Her lips lifted up a little as she shrugged. They took their ice cream from the counter and went to take a seat.
“So why is this place your favorite place, it's not special" Rose said after a while.
“I have a lot of memories here. When my family was still whole, my mum and dad always took us here after school" he reminisced.
“Oh" she said. He looked at her.
“Do you ever Miss your family?" Rose stared at him.
“I miss my mother not my father, I hope he's dead wherever he is now" She said intently. Aiden stared at the rage in her eyes and the mention of her father. He snuck out his hand from his pocket and laid it on hers. The rage in her eyes diminished as blush crept up her face.
“I don't miss my father too, not at all but I do have some fond memories of him and I think you do too" She frowned as images of her and father flashed through her head. She abruptly stood up.
“Let's leave now" She walked away without waiting for his reply. He sighed and walked right behind her.
