Chapter 27 - Euphoria of romance
Both were enjoying cocktails, standing near the bar area when Xing's eyes fell on those dancing couples.
Seeing them enjoying themselves on the dance floor like this, aroused a desire in her heart too.
Her eyes had become softened seeing them, that's when Xi Song noticed her.
Following her gaze, he also looked towards the dance floor.
Amazed, he leaned and whispered closer to her ears. "Do you want to dance?"
Being confused, she shifted her gaze to him as he winked at her while grabbing her hand. "What are you doing?"
Placing a finger on her lips, he shushed her. "Shh! Don't say anything. Follow me."
A smirk formed on his lips as he dragged her to the dance floor.
"What exactly are we going to do, Xi Song?"
Not answering her questions, he suddenly pulled Xingyue towards himself.
In a blink, she bumped on his chest while he quietly followed the rhythm of the song.
"Xi Song?" she tried to ask him, but he seemed aroused at the moment.
"Free your body and dance with me."
Looking into her eyes, he grabbed one of her hands and put it on his shoulder. While his hands were resting on her waist.
While holding her hand, he made her turn and twirled her into his arms.
They were just moving, slowly, following the rhythm.
The whole scenery was romantic, with pink dim lights on them.
Both of them were lost in each other's eyes as if there was no one else, just them alone.
Her almond eyes sparkled, and a smile spread across her beautiful face.
Xi Song's POV
Uncontrollable feelings grew inside my body, and my fingers crept in pleasure. My hand brushed across her cheek. My body was acting on its own, with no chains to hold me back from this genuine utopia.
There was that glow of love on our faces as we were smiling ear to ear.
Immersed in those glorious moments, I drew her closer while she wrapped her hands around my neck.
I delicately tucked her braid behind her ear, which was blocking our stares.
The shine in her eyes again greeted me when my gaze shifted to those juicy lips of her.
We continued to dance, too lost in the music to pause. Time passed as our feet moved in the steps of the foxtrot.

Xia Na and Ling Xiao were standing on the side while staring at them with loving eyes. Her lips curved into a sweet smile as she said. "It's my first time seeing Xingyue so happy. But sadly, they will give divorce after two months."
Standing next to her, Ling Xiao immediately denied this point. "They'll not get a divorce."
Raising her eyebrows, Xia Na glanced at him. "How can you be so sure? They already agreed."
"Do you know heaven matches never tear apart?"
"Huh? I don't agree."
Bending down, he stared deep into her eyes as she was taken aback.
"How about a bet? If they don't divorce each other, you'll be my girlfriend."
With her hands crossed around, she scoffed. "And what if I win?"
He moved his face closer as his breath hit her face. With his lips curved into a smirk, he moved to her ears and whispered. "Then, I'll be your boyfriend."
Firmly pressing her lips together, she tried to hide her smile when Ling Xiao leaned back.
"Isn't it a one-sided deal?"
"So what? One day, you'll be my girlfriend."
There was a red race on her cheeks as she gently slapped his arm. "How can you be so shameless?"
"Love makes innocent people shameless, Xia Na. Remember, our deal."
She bit her lower lip while grinning. "No way!"
"You promised me already. Now, you can't step back."
"I can, Mr. Ling."
She laughed aloud and started running as well as he started chasing her.
When she saw Tang Xue coming, she ran and hid behind her.
"Save me, Tang Xue."
Cluelessly, she gazed at them. "What's happening with you two?"
"Xia Na, you can't run away for a lifetime."
"Haha! Will you chase me forever?"
"I'm willing to."
There was crystal clear excitement on her face, but she was yet not admitting it.

Upon receiving a call from his family, Xi Song immediately came out of the hall and went to a silent place near the swimming pool.
Swiping it right, he picked the call.
Xi Song: Mom?
Mom: Aha! Xi Song, how are you doing?
Xi Song: I'm doing great, mom.
Mom: That's great, son. What about my daughter-in-law?
Xi Song: She is inside the hall. We came to Ling Xiao's birthday party.
Mom: Wow! Did you guys make up?
A tiny satisfaction could be seen on his face as he hummed.
Xi Song: It seems so...
Mom: I'm so happy for you, Son. Take good care of Xingyue, okay?
Xi Song: I will do it, mom. Don't worry about it.
Mom: I was just missing you. So, I thought of calling you. Anyways, you go back and spend more time with her.
Xi Song: You can always call me whenever you want, mom. I'll do my best for Xingyue.
Mom: I'm happy to know that, Son.
He had just kept the phone after talking when someone called him from behind.
He frowned on his spot when he heard that familiar voice again. As if he never expected to see her ever.
But was it a delusion, or was he really about to see the person he thought?
With his dried throat, his breath hitched in between. Was she really back?
"Xi Song? Is this you?"
His entire body was shaking out of fear, hoping it to be someone else.
Taking a deep breath, he slowly turned around as his eyes popped out of the socket. Whatever he feared had happened.
There was a smile on her face. Though Xi Song was trembling. Even his heart was leaping out. The depths of the past seemed to be coming back.
Holding back his tears in his eyes, he said with a trembled chin. "Chen Ting?"
