Chapter 30 - When he couldn't wait to meet her
Waving her hands in the air, playfully walking when Xingyue reached inside the office. All eyes were on her.
There was an unusual smile on her face that glittered the entire office area.
Holding a cup in her hand, Xia Na took her eyes off the computer when Xing came to her and gave her a tight hug.
"Xia Na, my darling, cheery morning."
Clueless about her behavior, she just grinned. "Aya! Is today the sunrise from the west? How come our Xing is so happy? Did you get a divorce?"
The smile she carried around faded in a moment when she mentioned divorce.
Her lips turned downturned as she walked away, leaving her dumbfounded. "Did I say something wrong?"

Reading some reports in his cabin, Xi Song seemed lost in daydreaming. The scene from last night was not leaving him alone, even for a minute.
That sweetness of her lips was still enough for him to smile harder.
In between, while he was busy in his dreams, Ling Xiao stormed inside.
"Aaigo! It's such a tiring day." He threw himself on the chair when his eyes fell on Xi Song's smile.
Puzzled, he waved his hands in front of his eyes that drove him to come back to his senses.
"Uh! Ump!" he cleared his throat when Ling Xiao burst into a peal of laughter.
"Hahaha! It seems like the magic of Sister-in-law started working on you. Our Dr. Song is in love."
Busy in his tease, they didn't even notice the nurse standing outside the door.
There was an obvious shock on her face as she kept a hand on her mouth, trying to not make any noise.
"Dr. Song is in love? It's big news."
Slowly, she moved away, and that's it. She spread the news all over the hospital that shook everyone. No one expected to see a hopeless person blushing like hell.
Wherever he went, the nurses were not leaving alone. They had millions of questions ready for him to answer.
"Dr. Song, is your wife beautiful than Dr. Cheng?"
"Of course, she is the most beautiful person."
Another nurse approached him. "Dr. Song, how much do you love her? Are you guys planning to get married?"
A smile curved his lips. "Well, if you can count the stars in the universe, you'll find its answer. About marriage, we're arrange married already. However, the syrup of love started long way ago."
"OHHH!!!" Everyone seemed to just go crazy, knowing the hidden romantic side of Xi Song.
"Indeed, Dr. Song is a hidden Romeo."

Sick of it, he rested in his cabin when his eyes followed the hands of the clock, waiting for the clock to come at 12 o'clock and Xing's lunchtime.
"What is she doing right now?" he thought.

While sitting at her desk, she operated on Lao Ké's reports when Xia Na came to her.
"Xingyue, let's go. It's lunchtime already."
"You guys go first. I'll come after this page."
"Sure?"
She flashed a smile as Xia Na pouted. "Okay then..."
All the office staff went for lunch while she was working in the office.
Her report was almost done when her phone buzzed, gaining her attention.
Her lips curved into a sweet smile as she picked the call.
Xingyue: Hello, Xi Song?
Xi Song: Hello, Xingyue.
There was complete silence for a few moments, but it was not awkward as before. It was pleasant to their hearts. As if they didn't need words to feel each other's presence.
She could feel Xi Song's words even if he didn't say them.
Xi Song: So... are you having lunch?
Xingyue: Not yet. I actually had a report, so I was working on it. What about you?
Xi Song: I'll eat it later.
Glancing around, she searched for if there was anyone who remained. However, there was no one other than her.
Pausing for a while, she finally took a deep breath.
Xingyue: Xi Song, I love you.
Upon hearing her, he couldn't stop that lovesick glow. It attacked his heart.
Xingyue: Are you not going to say back, Xi Song?
Xi Song: I- I l-love you...
"DR. SONG!" A lady shouted his name, which made him flinch.
Xi Song: I- I love you, grandma. Eat your lunch on time. We'll meet in the evening. Goodbye, grandma.
Hanging on the call, he gulped. "Yes?"
"Was she your grandma?"
Avoiding eye contact, he kept his poker face. "Yes. Were you looking for me?"
"Oh, yeah. This patient needs a check-up."

As he hung up the call, she pressed her lips tightly while holding her laugh back. "Grandma?"
A grin spread all over her face as she stood up and walked towards the canteen area.

After submitting all her files, she was about to leave when Tang Xue called her name out. "Xingyue, we're going for karaoke night. Would you like to join us?"
"Ahh! Tang Xue, I'm sorry. I have plans for tonight. You guys enjoy it. I'm leaving."
Flashing a smile at them, she walked away.

Standing near his dressing drawer, he wore his clothes back and was about to leave when Ling Xiao came.
"Huh? Xi Song, you're leaving early?"
"Hmm! The night shift is on Wen Reng. Besides, I have plans for tonight."
"PlAnS for TONIGHT?" he asked, while raising an eyebrow.
As Xi Song threw some clothes on him and glared. "Focus on your work. I'm leaving."

Hoping to meet each other, both rushed home.
One ran fast and rushed home from the left side, while the other came from the right path.
With each step, their hearts beat faster as the distance between them was not too long.
Excited to just pull each other into a hug, they couldn't wait longer.
Their eyes were only on that hand of the door. That both of them did not even notice each other.
Extending her hand, when she tried to keep a hold on the handle, someone else held it.
Confused, she shifted her eyes when he glanced at her back.
"Xi Song?"
"Xingyue?"
