Chapter 29 - Our official first kiss
When a ray of sun fell on her face, shining through the window, she slowly opened her eyes.
Yesterday after drinking so much, the intoxication was still on her. As her head was aching.
Holding her head with one hand, she pushed the blanket aside and glanced outside the window.
On a pleasant morning, where the chirping of birds was heard like a melodious song, she felt happy from inside.
Stretching her hands in the air, she welcomed a new day when a sound reached her ears from the kitchen.
Clueless, she peeked outside, only to see Xi Song cooking for them.
There was a smile on her lips that soon faded away when she recalled some moments from last night.

With tiny curved lips, he replied. "Xingyue, I--"
Cutting his words off, she pressed her lips against him as he remained there, shocked.
She was enjoying the taste of his lips while he remained the same, not even moving a little.
His lips tasted like a fresh strawberry picked from the farm totally for her.
Those juicy lips that she sucked without even a rest finally came to an end when the drunkness took over her, and she fell asleep in his arms while resting her head on his shoulder.

Those flashbacks sent shivers down her spine that even her ears turned red out of disgrace.
While resting her back against the wall, she slowly squatted down and covered her entire face with her hands.
"Ugh! Why did I drink too much? It's so embarrassing."
She bit her lower lips, totally feeling messed up.
"How am I going to face him now?"
Her gaze shifted to the clock as she noticed how time flew so fast. She was getting late, but felt too embarrassed to go outside.

However, she got ready, even so, she was ashamed to go out. Her eyes were fixed on the main door as she planned to just run towards the door.
Her feet automatically moved back as she came into a running position. "You can do it, Li Xingyue."
With a set of counts, she closed her eyes and ran towards the door.
When Xi Song turned around and called her name out.
"Xingyue?"
With her one foot up, she halted on her spot. When her eyes shifted to Xi Song, who was confused about her behavior.
"Oh, Xi Song?"
Automatically, her feet stepped back as she scratched her head, avoiding eye contact with him.
"What a lovely morning, right? Well, you woke up early."
Pressing his lips, he tried not to laugh. "Miss, I always woke up early. By the way, were you going early today?"
"Huh? Oh, yeah..."
She herself was puzzled about what to answer when Xi Song moved closer to her, stunning her.
"Xingyue, do you remember anything from last night?"
That's it. She lost it here. Her cheeks were like a tomato, and her chin was trembling out of terror.

His steps were frightening her even more that she couldn't even utter a word. It felt like the most embarrassing moment in her life ever.

As she was about to continue, Xi Song cupped her face with his warm hands, which made her frown. She raised her wide eyes, meeting those lovely eyes filled with the desire to love her.
His gaze shifted from her eyes to those lips. He regretted not kissing her back. And so, in a moment, his lips pressed against her.
She could feel a race in her heart that could fail anytime.
He didn't even dare to look at her, as he was so immersed in that kiss.
While moving his face back, he finally let it out as his eyes met those shocked eyes again. "Do you remember you said everyone needs someone in their lives? To hold them, to shed tears with them... To love them."
Grabbing her hand, he gently planted a kiss on it.
"Xingyue, I also think that someone is you in my life. Please, let me shower my love to you as well."
"Li Xingyue, I love you too."
Glancing at those almond eyes again, he leaned closer and kissed her again. The delicious sweetness doubled when she closed her eyes and responded back. The ocean of love was flowing in their hearts.
Feelings of new love were varied, sweet, heartwarming.
In love, they feel as if they have found a utopia. Where one can rest himself forever, in the arms of his loved one. Where he found the true heaven, out of that wicked world.
Who thought that marriage started only on the condition of divorce, that bitterness would someday dissolve to the sweet taste of love?

"Once said that love is blind? But is it real, or is the power considered low?"

The morning felt so fresh with them in each other's arms and kissing.
