The five of us ate breakfast a first, it was already nine o'clock in the morning so we were already feeling hungry. Since we didn't fit on my dining table, we ate in the living room again, taking food from the table and sitting in the living room.
"There's a lot of left over from last night"
"Yes, it's a good thing everything fits in my refrigerator."
"It's because dad bought more last night"
"Are you complaining, Ashlene?"
"No, dad. I'm just saying you bought a lot last night."
"Anyway, aren't you going to go with dad to the company today, Ashton?"
"Nope, he has a meeting today with Mr. Garcia and I already talked with my secretary to clear my schedule for today."
Diane, Lia and I were quiet while we ate and listened to a conversation between a father and son.
"How is the company?"
"Everything's good. We're planning to launch a new product this month, hoping it would have a positive outcome especially for our company."
"What does dad say about your new product?"
"As usual, he approved it but we can tell he doesn't like it. It's really hard to understand grandpa sometimes."
I agree! It's hard to understand their grandfather, you'd be crazy to wonder what was going through his mind.
"You know, I just want to eat in peace. But it looks like I'm going to bleed while eating." Diane whispered to us, while Lia almost threw up the food she was chewing because of what Diane said.
"You're really abnormal, aren't you used to them talking like that in your house?"
"No, I can't really get used to it hahahaha"
"Crazy!" Lia exclaimed and flicked Diane's forehead.
"Ouch! You know how to hurt a person now, Lia!"
"Heh! I learned it from you."
"And you really copied me"
I just shook my head at the two of them again. It's just that they share the same attitude, but they blame each other.
"Good morning, people!"
After I took a bite of what I was eating, I turned to look at the person who had just left my room, Aunt Em. She smiled as he carried Gian. I guess they woke up at the same time.
"Good morning, aunt!" Lia and I greeted her.
"Where are the other guys? Did you eat before them?"
"Brother said, they are still in deep sleep while drooling."
"Darling, where is baby Gian's milk?" Aunt Em asked as she walked towards my kitchen.
I stood up and went to the kitchen to take care of Gian's milk, I mixed it in his baby bottle and then gave it to him. He also drank it right away while Aunt Em was still carrying him.
"Hon, this grandson of ours is really sweet. The way he behaves too, you know he wakes up earlier than me but he just sits and look at me."
Aunt Em told a long story while she sat next to uncle Phil. I didn't go back to the living room to sit because there was no place to sit in, I just sat at the dining table and continued eating, I as about to finish my meal.
"Where's Gian's father?"
Ash was behind me, he put the dish he used when he asked me about Gian's father. I almost choked on his question because he suddenly spoke.
"I don't know."
"You don't know what?"
"I mean I don't know where he is."
I was about to take my last bite of my meal but I was interrupted because Ash suddenly asked me. I can't continue with my food cause I might end up choking when he asks again. He's still behind me and I don't know what he's doing there, maybe he's doing the dishes?
"You didn't told him?"
I want to look at Ash but I might not be able to stop myself and tell him that he is the real father.
"Yes, I didn't."
"The hell? How about your expenses? You don't have a job right now."
"I still have a money in my savings."
"And you think that's enough for you and your son's needs?"
Wait! His question is a bit offensive! So, is he saying that I only have a little savings?
"What are you talking about?"
Lia and Diane came together, they also sat at the dining table but across from me.
"I'm just asking her some things"
"Like?"
"Just things"
"What is it?"
"When did you become a gossiper?"
"Just recently, go and scold your twin, Dane." Lia complained, Diane pulled the end of her hair, which made Lia's head look up.
I just continued my food, I felt someone pulled a chair next to me and Ash sat there. He has freshly brewed coffee, still steaming because of the hot water he used.
"What's that? Coffee again?"
"So?"
"So? Don't you get palpitations and you drink coffee too many times a day."
Ash didn't answer with what Diane said, I just finished what I ate and drank some water.
"You didn't answer my question, Anna."
"Call her Gill, brother. We feel like it's a different person when you call her Anna"
"Why Anna?" Lia asked so I looked at her.
"Gillianna, he cut my name and made it Anna."
"You call her babe and I call her Anna, we all have our own nicknames for people."
I just made a face at what he said, it's hard to have so many nicknames, It makes me feel like I have so many personalities.
"I agree! That's just his nickname for Gill. So, I'll call you marites from now on, D." I don't know if Lia is serious because her face was so straight and there was no sign of her joking.
"Sure! My nickname for you is Marisol, Li"
"So?" I turned to this naughty person next to me, he really didn't want to stop asking me a questions.
He also turned to me and his eyebrows were raised, obviously waiting for my answer. Why does he ask so many questions, he used to not talk to me much because of a sin I committed before and that made him really angry. Has he forgiven me so he's talking to me now?
"Of course it's enough for both of us."
He just nodded to what I said and drank his coffee again. Just as Jake arrived, Aunt Em opened the door for them. Jake's eyes immediately wandered when he entered and when our eyes met, he immediately smiled sweetly.
"Have some breakfast, boys! Take some food from the dining table."
"Love! You're not listening. I told you not to drink again last night, right?" Diane scolded her boyfriend.
"Dustin said we should drink just one more"
"Jake said that."
"It was actually Dane who asked to drink."
They passed the blame to each other, Ash stood up and Jake took over to sit beside me.
"What? It's new year." Ash said.
"Big brother! You're a bad influence!"
"Babe, don't drink again. Maybe you want me the one who destroy your liver if you don't stop from drinking!" Lia threatened her boyfriend Dustin.
Dustin just gave her a back hug while Lia was sitting and quickly kissed her head. He's being sweet cause he knew Lia will be mad if he doesn't listen.
"You guys are sore to my eyes." We turned to Ash who was looking at us in disgust before he left us in the dining area to join uncle Phil and Gian in the living room.
"Don't mind him, love." Jake whispered in my right ear. The touch of his breath on my skin was tickling but luckily I was able to refrain myself from laughing.
"Eat now, do you want a coffee?"
"I'll have some water first, have you eaten?"
"Hmm, we ate already."
"Alright, just stay here next to me, love."
"Okay."
He smiled and stood up to took a plate and utensils and return to my side. I just sat quietly next to him while he was eating, Ero and Dustin were also eating. It turns out that Lia and Diane have also returned to Aunt Em's side, so these three men are now with me at the dining table.
"Just eat a lot, do you guys want a coffee?"
"Thanks, Gill. I'll just drink water first for now"
I got cold water for the three of them, when I returned to Jake's side, he clasped our hands, he only used one hand while eating.
"Eat first" I removed his grip and tried to make him hold the fork but he let go and clasped our hands again.
"It's okay, I'd rather hold this."
"Okay, go ahead. Eat a lot."
That's all I said and turned my attention to Gian who was now on Ash's lap while Ash was looking intently in my place but he immediately turned his gaze back to Gian.
They really look alike, especially when they smile.
