Even though I am feeling sleepy, I still tried not to doze off for Diane, I'd feel bad if I sleep off while she drive.
All I could do was yawn and stare at the window. It was already past nine o'clock, there was quite a bit of traffic so it took us an hour in the road, we were also quite near to their house now.
"Finally, we've reached home."
I yawned again and couldn't help but tear up from yawning, I couldn't count how many yawns I did earlier while we're in our trip. It's a good thing that Diane didn't get infected by my yawned earlier. We all know that yawning is contagious.
Diane's garage gate opened by itself and she let her car in, when it was properly parked, I removed my seatbelt and put my small bag back on before getting out of Diane's car. I also opened the backseat door to get Gian, I intended not to wake him up and I carefully removed him from sitting in his child's seat.
"You didn't left anything in the car, babe?"
"None, I think." I answered Diane in a bit of unsure, I was really sleepy and couldn't think more properly if I had left anything inside her car.
"Forget it, I'll check it tomorrow, let's go."
Diane pressed something on her hand and her car beeped twice, means it's been locked.
While carrying Gian, I followed Diane until we've entered their house. A maid greeted us and bowed a little to Diane.
"Why are you still awake?" Diane asked politely.
"I'm waiting for you, ma'am Diane."
"I'm sorry, I came late. Next time don't wait for me."
"Understood, ma'am Diane."
"Alright, kindly turn off the lights. Gill and I will go up now."
"Okay. Good night, ma'am Diane and ma'am Gill."
"Good night, too" Diane and I responded almost at the same time to their housekeeper.
She started walking again towards their big and wide stairs, I followed her again and slowly climbed up while staring at each steps of the stairs, I might suddenly trip and I would have cause an accident . Their mansion's quite silent, every step we take on their stairs makes a noise that seems to echo on the whole floor.
"My room is a mess, Gill. I'll take you to our guest room."
I would have complained that it's not a problem if her room is a mess, but I don't have the energy for that, I badly want to lay my body on a bed.
"You stay here first, it's also freshly cleaned so you won't sneeze."
"Thank you, Diane. Go ahead and go to your own room. You should rest now, you have work early tomorrow."
"Hmm! Good night, mama Gill"
"Good night, Aunt Diane"
After Diane came out of the guest room, I immediately put Gian down on the big bed. His sleep was so deep that he didn't even felt that he was no longer in the car.
I didn't even think about changing my clothes and just went to Gian's side so that I could close my eyes as well, but the door of the room that Gian and I were using opened widely again and it spat out Diane holding some clothes.
"Here, Gill. Change your clothes first."
"Okay, thanks, Diane."
"You're always welcome, babe. Good night, again!"
"Hahaha okay, good night!"
After Diane left, I immediately changed my clothes and went back to bed on Gian's side to continue closing my eyes earlier.
I was awaken by the loud car horn, I forced my eyes open and looked for the clock on the side table, it was already nine o'clock in the morning.
I turned to Gian who was still fast asleep while his left thumb was stuck in his mouth and his right hand was raised on the side of his head. He's such a cutie pie.
I also noticed a red lip mark on the right side of Gian's cheek, I guess it's from Diane. Maybe before she left for work, she checked us and kissed Gian on his cheek. Such a sweet auntie.
Do I have it too?
I just laugh from my thought. It's impossible for Diane to leave a kiss mark on my face, she'll definitely say 'ew'.
When I got up, I immediately reached my small bag and took out my cell phone. Again, I have a 5 missed calls and 3 unread messages and all of them are from Jake.
I tried to ring his phone but I wasn't disappointed after a two rings he answered my call.

"Hi! Are you on your way to your work?"
< I just got here in our clinic, you're going home? >
"Maybe later, I need to talk to auntie, first."
< Hmm... Okay, love. Message me when you get home. >
"Okay"
< I love you, Gill >
"I love you, too, Jake"
It feels really nice that I get to experience to have a person says to me the three magical words in the morning.
< Later again, love. I miss you! >
"Okay, love. Have fun on pulling out their tooth?" I jokingly said and laughed at Jake.
< Hahaha I will! >
After my short morning talk with Jake, I thought of standing up and stretched my arms before turning my gaze back to Gian who was still very in a deep asleep. I just rubbed the kiss mark on his cheek to erase it and kissed his forehead before I left him in Diane's guest room.
At the same time as I went out, Ash walked by without wearing a top clothes and just hanging a short towel on his shoulder. When I saw him, I immediately looked away and swallowed my own saliva.
What a nice view in the morning! Oh, what did you just say, Gill?!
I just shook my head from my thoughts and started to take a step when he stopped right in front of me. Oh, no! Move your body away from me!
"Wow, you visit so early, Anna?"
"I was already here last night"
"Gian's here too?"
"Yes, still asleep."
We're talking while I avoided my face, I don't want to look at him now and I feel like I'm commiting a sin against Jake. But I saw in my peripheral vision that Ash wiped his cheek with his small towel that was hanging on his shoulder.
"What are you looking at?" He asked and came closer to my face to follow where I was looking at.
Because of what he did, I turned to him and there was only an inches distance between us, which immediately made me nervous. I don't know why I was nervous when he approached and I almost squint-eyed when he turned and our eyes met.
There was no emotion in Ash's eyes, while he could definitely read shock in my eyes.
I followed how his eyes moved as if he was checking over my face and his eyes stopped on my left cheek near my jaw, he frowned again before fixing his position and stand properly.
"Is that a kiss mark?"
I looked at him confused with his question. Kiss mark?
"Huh?" I slightly touched a finger to my cheek that he looked at earlier and wiped it.
"Here"
Ash said and without hesitation he grabbed my chin and slowly lifted and tilted my head to the side then slowly he touched his thumb finger to my cheek where he said there was a kiss mark. And based on where Ash's thump finger was touching, it was near the edge of my lips.
I turned my eyes everywhere and add to that there's a loud pounding coming from my chest, it's so strong that I'm worried Ash might heard it and sure it's embarrassing!
When his thumb stopped removing what was on my face, I just looked at Ash's face but there's still no any trace of emotion can be seen in his eyes, even though he is no longer moving his thumb, he's still holding on to my chin while looking directly to meet my eyes.
Are there any other marks on my face?
"Ash?" I called him almost like a whisper.
"Hmm?" He answered in a sweet and soft tone while still looking straight to my eyes.
Wait. Sweet and soft tone? I must have misunderstood his tone.
Suddenly, he removed his hand that was holding my chin and adjusted his position before close his eyes a few times as if he had woken up from his sleep. He also left me in front of the guest room and walked down first the stairs.
When Ash completely disappeared from my sight, I slightly combed my hair and let out a deep breath before decided to move my legs and go straight to the comfort room which is also right here on their second floor.
I haven't yet wash my face and gargled earlier then that happened with Ash. You're embarrassing, Gill! I just let out an another sigh and completely step inside the bathroom.
