Third person point of view
Victoria and her friends sat on the cold floor sat with her knees bent the book placed on them, the movement of her eyes down the page as she reads, her index and middle fingers holding its corner, the concentration she had, her change of expression after every page she flipped was attention seeking.
She has been reading the book they found for minutes now, Lyon sat by her left side while Liv was seated by the other side.
Dear dairy
I have been reading this amazing novel, and heart off I am loving it. The author must have put a lot of effort into writing it, I had never expected Edward to be the killer, I mean he’s too nice to have killed someone but turns out, he was faking everything. That novel is very great. hashtag: I love it.
I can’t wait for part two of the novel, I have to find out if truly Josephine is a mummy and if Edward is dead. I need to read book two urgently.
Anyways my mom wants me to join river high academy but my dad has other plans for me, they always seem to never agree with each other which makes me wonder if they agreed with each other on their wedding day. LOL just kidding but like seriously, did they…..
Gotta go mom’s calling out my name, I wonder what she wants.
"I don’t get it, river high academy isn’t located in Windland, it’s located in basinview right?" Victoria said
"Yeah, Mick attended that school before he relocated" Lyon said
"How did the book get here, if the writer lives in basinview?"
"I have no idea, we’ve been reading this diary for almost an hour and all we got is river high academy is located at basinview, this is a waste of time" She said
"Just skip some parts or maybe start reading from this page" he said as he flipped the pages
She adjusted her sitting position as she crossed her leg and held the book with her right hand, she furrowed her eyebrows in deep concentration after the change of position.
Dear diary,
I can’t believe what I saw, I don’t think it’s real and I have a feeling it’s real it’s kinda driving me crazy. It has been haunting me for days, Mom said I was hallucinating but that can’t be possible, I am sure am not hallucinating.
It keeps telling me to listen to the……
She paused for a minute before she flipped back to the other pages she missed, she has to know what exactly happened before she saw the 'Thing' that has been hunting her.
Immediately she paused, Lyon spoke
"Hey, why did you stop reading?"
"I have to know what she saw and when she saw the 'Thing' that has been hunting her for days" she said before she continued reading
Dear Dairy,
Mom says I’m obsessed with writing, not novel writing obviously but writing in you. She is worried that I’m outcasting me from others. She says it’s weird to spend a whole hour writing in a diary. And most especially she says it’s very strange that I get excited to talk to you, I mean to write to you. Don’t tell anyone this but I love you so much, you are the only thing left for me to remember grandma…oh sorry, she also gave that an antique padlock but I don’t know why she did that anyways, talking about grandma reminds me of her banana pie, I think I’m gonna tell mom to make a banana pie for dessert today.
Gotta go, I love you…. Shhh, don’t tell anyone.

I know it’s been a long time since I wrote but a lot has happened and I had no time to write. I have sad news. I never thought a day would come when dad will die. I’m literally crying right now, I miss dad so much, why did God take him away from me? Life has been sad and hard for both me and my mom. You will forever be in my heart dad.
It’s been a month since his death, I will never forget him, he was not only my dad but a brother, a friend, and my hero. RIP dad, I miss you so much. "
Dear dairy,
My mom wants us to relocate, after the death of dad, she has been depressed and now she feels like living in basinview will make her sadder, I can’t agree more, anytime I walk past her room, I remember dad or anytime I’m going for school. Dad usually takes me to school but now I have to follow the school bus. I miss you, dad, I love you so much.
By the way, mom has applied for a job at a school in the noway town. I’m kinda happy for her, at least she will have something to do in the meantime since she lost her old job "
Dear dairy,
Guess what happened today, mom just got a call from someone, I don’t know who the person is but who cares, we are moving to a huge house in Windland. I’m so excited, mom is happy too. She said she will apply for a job when we get to Windland. I can’t believe how lucky we are, looks like the lord is still by our side. I forgot to tell you that yesterday, mom didn’t pass her interview and was sad about it, and today she got a house, or should I say a mansion. By the way, I saw the picture of the house, it’s very big and I’m sure you’re gonna love it when we get there.
She paused for a minute, as she drank bottled water she continued reading the dairy.
Dear dairy,
We have arrived at Windland, I can’t close my mouth, the house is epic, I have never come across a house as big as this. Hashtag: I’m loving it. Hashtag: home sweet home.
We had great difficulty finding the house, the cab driver couldn’t locate the house. At first, I thought we were scammed but when mom got a call from the housekeeper, shortly, they came and drove us to the house. They have this really cool van that I’m crazy about, I always wanted to have a van of my own.
When we entered the house, I was startled, it was magical and yes it reminds me of my favorite fairytale, beauty and the beast. I walked around the house, it is hard choosing a room when you have different alternatives. The house keeper, what’s her name again… well I can’t remember her name but she helped me choose the perfect room. It’s very lovely, I’m obsessed with the room already.
I don’t even think mom should get a job, I mean that house is huge and it is furnished as well. she could just start a hotel business in it but I guess no one will like an isolated hotel away from the world, away from everyone. Just peace and quiet….. wait a minute I think many people will love it, won’t they?
Gotta go mom is calling me for dinner. "
“O my God, I think she was talking about Melody" Victoria mumbled
"The room we found this diary might be hers, but why was it locked from outside" Liv said
"It kinda makes sense, the house and its location, Lyon you were right when you said we weren’t the first people to have lived in this house" she said before she continued reading the dairy.
Dear dairy,
This is our second week in the house, and I’m loving it, I haven’t started attending school yet but who cares….. I don’t, I never liked school anyway. So yesterday night mom was making pasta, my favorite, she told me to go get some cilantro leaves for her in the garden, I went to the garden and saw this well that reminds me of grandma’s old farm, I went closer to it and then a creepy insect bit my hand. It was very hurtful and to be honest, I have never come across such an insect before. My hand was swollen for a minute and the next it was not, I told mom about it but she thinks I’m joking around.
"Guys, this was the exact thing that happened to me the first day we came here. My hand was bitten just like hers" Victoria said
"Maybe that’s why you get dreams and we don’t" Lyon said
She continued reading the diary when Liv saw a shadow, she was about to speak when something dragged her attention and she followed it, it was like she wasn’t in control of her body.
