I was frightened when I saw a dead body in the well, I instantly stepped backward
"No! No! No! It can’t be, I’m overthinking again, that’s not true, I’m probably imagining things again" I thought
My heart was racing fast as many questions were raised in my mind
"Is that Mick, no, no It can’t be, Melody said she’s on her way with Mick" I whispered to myself
I looked down at the well again, the body was there but the face was extremely damaged which made it hard for me to recognize who’s body is.
"Vickie, what are you still doing there" I heard Liv's voice from far away
I was confused, I had no idea what to do, whose body it was, and why does Melody have a dead body in the well.
"I have to tell the others" I thought
I quickly rushed out of the garden, Liv was standing at the front door.
"Liv" I whispered to myself
I could feel I wasn’t in control of my own body, I tried to walk closer to her but unfortunately, I couldn’t.
"Liv, turn over here" I whispered.
What is happening, Why can’t I walk or speak audibly? "Vickie, come let’s go," a voice said from behind, I instantly recognized the voice it was Liv’s.
That made me frightened more, how can Liv be at two places at the same time,
"It just doesn’t make any sense," I thought
I rapidly close my eyes as I heard her footsteps coming closer to me.
"No, please don’t hurt me," I said as I felt a tap on my shoulder
"Vickie are you okay, why will I hurt you," Liv said from behind
I didn’t open my eyes as I was covered with nothing but fear in my mind and a fast racing heart.
"Vickie," she said before she turned my body around
I slowly opened my eyes as I came face to face with Liv
"Oh lord, thank you," I said as I rapidly hugged her
"What happened, you’ve been standing in front of the well for almost ten minutes"
"There is something in the well,"
"What!"
"A dead body I couldn’t recognize whose body it is because the face was damaged but I think it’s Mick’s"
"What! do have any idea what you’re talking about"
"See for yourself," I said as I flashed the light and directed it into the well.
"How is that possible, I just saw a dead body in there," I thought
"There isn’t a thing inside the well, I think you need some rest it’s been a long day anyways"
"No! I saw a body there, you gotta believe Liv I saw a dead body in there"
"We should just go back inside now," she said as she grabbed my hand and walked into the house.
I know what I saw, and I’m sure I wasn’t hallucinating, Melody is hiding something from us.
"What took you so long," Nora said immediately as we entered the kitchen
"Nothing, here are the mints"
I stood in a corner and didn’t utter a word, I have no idea what to say. If Melody comes home tonight with Mick then I’m crazy if not, well I have to find out who she is and why she’s doing all this.
"Dinner is ready, I will go set it on the table" Lyon announced
I kept thinking about Melody, I had no idea Lyon had finished cooking and everyone had already left the kitchen. I was brought back to reality when Nora walked up to me.
"Hey, are you okay"
"Hmm… yeah I’m fine"
"Come let’s eat, I’m starving"
As I entered the dining room with Nora and took a seat, I asked Lyon to call Melody.
"She called me a few minutes ago, she said the police are asking Mick some questions, and afterward she’s taking him to the hospital for some minor checkup"
"Did you at least talk to Mick?"
" Yeah I did, wait a minute are you still worried that Mick, come on, you need to relax he’s fine"
I nodded before I took a deep breath, I drank half a glass of water before I began eating.
"Yum, this dish is delicious Babe," Liv said
"Thank you, but when it’s about the meatball you have to give credit to Nora, she is good at making meatballs”
The food was tasty, but I didn’t enjoy it much as I was thinking about the body I saw earlier. It can’t be possible that Mick is alive, if he is then who’s body was that in the well? Or is it possible that I’m imagining things just like my dad used to before he died?
"What are you thinking about" Liv said
"Me! Nothing, I’m just wondering, why don’t we all wait for Mick’s arrival before we all go to bed"
"Who said anything about going to bed, come on we aren’t going to sleep until Mick arrives"
"Oh God, I forgot to keep some food for Mick" Lyon said
"Babe you don’t have to worry there is some here, I think that’s enough for him"
"Mick is fine" Nora whispered as she placed her hand on mine.
I smiled at her before I continued eating.
Shortly after we finished eating, I sat on the couch alone when Lyon walked in and turned on the tv, he was watching a crime show.
"Can you please reduce the volume" I muttered audibly
Despite being distracted by the things that have been happening lately I couldn’t stop myself from watching the crime show with Lyon.
"We have checked the CCTV camera, and we know what happened that night, you don’t have to lie Lucifer we know you killed Lucy" the police actor said from the movie.
"Wait a minute, the CCTV camera, this house is big I’m sure there must be a CCTV camera somewhere around here," I thought
I was about to stand up when Nora dragged my hand and told me to sit back and relax.
I tried to tell her I had something important to do but she wouldn’t let me go.
"I just have to check it tomorrow," my inner voice said.
I stayed back and continued watching the show with them. For a moment I felt better as I began laughing at some point when the movie became funny.
We watched the movie for about two hours when I picked up my phone and Nora dragged it from my hand which made me accidentally tap record instantly of calls.
"No phone, no stress"
"Come on"
"Nope, am ain’t giving you," she said as she kept it in her pocket
"At least let me refresh the phone and remove it from the record”
"Yeah nice try, but I’m not giving you the phone not till after the movie"
"This is the second movie we are watching"
"Sit back and relax"
I did as she said, the movie was getting more serious and interesting which made us forget we were waiting for Mick’s arrival. Shortly after some hours, we all drafted to sleep
