I slowly opened my eyes, everywhere was blurry "What happened" I whispered as I touched my head and realized it was bandaged.
“Guys, she’s awake” Nora announced
"How are you feeling”
I blinked my eyes before I spoke
“What happened”
“You fainted”
“What! when did that happen,” I said
“Relax,”
“What exactly happened” I mumbled before I adjusted my position
“Nothing happened, we were about to enter the kitchen then you fainted”
I was about to speak when Lyon approached and interrupted our conversation
“Hey, what happened to you”
“I don’t know, and why do I have a bandage on my head”
"That’s not a bandage,” Nora explained as she took it off my head
“Babe, can you check on the food I think it’s starting to burn” Liv said immediately after she entered the room
“Vickie are you okay, what happened”
“I have no idea”
“I’m pretty sure she fainted because she worries too much” Nora whispered
“What did you say”
“Me! I didn’t say a word”
“You definitely said something, I heard you whisper and I think you were mocking me”
“Me! Come on, I will never do that to my dear friend”
“Cut it off, what did you say, and don’t even think about lying to me”
“You worry too much, that’s why you fainted” she uttered
“What! I don’t worry too much”
“Yes you do sassy pants”
“Seriously Nora, sassy, just tell me what I did that you called me sassy”
She was about to talk when Liv spoke "I’m just glad that you’re fine”
“Yeah, although If you want me to get better, you should cook something great for me”
“Lyon is making Alfredo pasta, and you know he knows his way in the kitchen”
“Yeah,”
“If you’re good, you can come to help him with the tasting”
“Okay, I will be right back”
“Where are you going," Liv said
“Bathroom, just give me two minutes I will meet you guys in the kitchen”
I was about to exit the room when I remembered something
"Liv is Mick back"
“Not yet, Lyon called Melody but her phone wasn’t reachable"
I’m definitely sure, Melody is lying. It’s been almost an hour and they haven’t arrived yet.
"Relax, Nora was right about you, you worry too much," she said as she walked closer to me
"I just hope Mick is fine and he’s on his way here” I signed
"Don’t worry, he will come back safe and sound"
I smiled at her before she pulled me into a hug
"Mick is fine” she whispered
"I hope so"
“You go do your thing, and when you’re done come to the kitchen,” she said before she walked into the kitchen.
I entered the bathroom and washed my face, I stared at my reflection as I was lost in my thoughts
“What’s happening, first strange dreams, and now I fainted”
I let out a deep breath "Everything is fine, you’re just stressed out” I whispered to myself before I exited the bathroom.
As I entered the kitchen, I walked toward Lyon and Nora who were making meatballs,
“Wow meatballs, I’m already tasting them”
“Don’t be faster than your shadow” Nora said
“This reminds me of my childhood, my mom use to make these delicious meatballs with fresh mint as garnish” Liv said
“Sorry babe but there isn’t mint in the house”
“Bummer, I love meatballs with mint in them”
“Why don’t you fry those meatballs” Lyon uttered
“Nope, I don’t wanna work”
“Well you have to if you wanna eat tonight," Lyon said
“What! you can’t tell a sick person to fry meatballs or do any other work” I pouted
“You said you were okay”
“That was then, now I feel weak and dizzy and… ”
“You don’t have to continue, we get it and besides I was just kidding”
“I wish you were kidding about the mints babe, I really like mints in meatballs and as a garnish,” Liv said
“Sorry babe, I would have ordered some mints for you but you know this house is almost impossible to locate”
“And who’s fault is that?” Nora whispered
"I thought we are over this" Lyon uttered
"Dude I’m just kidding"
“Wait a minute, I just remembered, I saw a mint tree in the garden”
“Really!” Liv said excitedly
“Yeah, I saw it the first day we came here”
“This is great, do you remember the exact place you saw it”
“Yeah, it’s by the well”
“Well come let’s go get it,” she said as she grabbed my hand
Immediately we entered the garden I was on my phone’s torchlight as it was a bit dark.
We walked to the well and Liv plucked the mint
“They are so fresh” she whispered to herself
“Do you smell that?” I said as I covered my nose
“What are you talking about?”
“It’s horrible, and I think it’s coming from the well” I said
“I don’t smell anything”
“Are you serious, God it smells terrible”
“Are you for real right now, cause I don’t smell anything”
“What, how are you possibly not persevering this odor”
“Just forget about it. Come on, let’s go,” she said as she walked away
I was about to leave when I decided to peek at the well, I had to know what the smell is.
As I peeked at the well, I instantly walked backward
“It smells awful” I thought
Immediately I peeked again, I screamed
