We arrived back home at about three o’clock, I was about to knock on the door when I realized the door was already open
“ Why did Mick leave the door open, “ I thought
When we entered the house and sat on the living couch, Liv and Lyon were cuddling each other, and Nora was texting on her phone.
“ I’m gonna get a drink, does anyone need anything “
“ Yeah I will take a soda, “ Nora said
“ I want an apple juice box, “ Liv said
“ Babe you want a juice box? “
“ Yeah apple flavored just boxes are the best, you should try it sometime “
“ Vickie if you don’t mind can you make the juice box two “
“ Yeah whatever, “ I said before I exited the room.
I entered the kitchen and grabbed two boxes of a juice box and two cans of coke soda.
“ The house seems quiet, “ I said immediately as I walked into the living room
“ Mick must be asleep, “ Nora said
“ This juice box is great “
“ Yeah babe, “ Liv said as she placed a kiss on his lips
“ I’m going to bed, am exhausted, “ Lyon said before releasing Liv

“ I’m already done with it “
“Okay good night babe, “ she said after she kissed him
I let out a long yawn before I spoke “ I’m going to bed too “
I was about to leave when Lyon walked out of the room
“ Guys have you seen Mick “
“ Isn’t he in the room? “ Nora asked
“ That’s what I thought but he isn’t here “
“ What do mean babe, maybe he’s in another room “
“ Yes you might be right “
“ Maybe not, the house door was open and why will Mick leave the door open when he knows we have a spare key, “ I said before I brought out my phone
“ What are you gonna do, “ Lyon asked
“ I’m calling Mick “
As the phone began to ring, we heard a noise coming from under the couch
“ That must be Mick’s phone ringing “
Nora quickly stood up from the couch before Lyon pushed the couch revealing Mick’s phone under it.
“ It’s Mick’s phone, “ he said as he handed it over to me
“ Why would he leave his phone under the couch “
“ He didn’t, he must have dropped it accidentally “
“ Guys, what’s going on, do you think Mick was kidnapped? “ Nora asked
“ I’m not sure but we should check the house before we conclude, “ I said
“ Great idea, Nora and Vickie you guys should check the rooms upstairs while I and Liv will look around down here “
“ Okay, “ I said before I left with Nora
My heart was racing fast, I just hope Mick is fine, I have no idea what will happen if we don’t find him at home, he has to be here.
I checked the first five rooms upstairs while Nora checked the rest. I entered the library and started calling out his name
“ Mick “ I could hear Nora calling out to Mick from the hallway
As I turned on the lights and walked forward, I saw a creepy-looking box on the couch
“ This kinda looks familiar “ I mumbled as I held the box, Nora walked in
“ Did you find him? “
“ No, he’s not in here either, “ I said as I dropped the box and walk out of the room
“ Mick where are you “ Nora yelled as we walked down the stairs
“ Is he here? “ I asked immediately after I approached Lyon
“ No, I checked all the rooms but he’s nowhere to be found “
“ No this can’t be happening, we need to find Mick, “ my inner voice said
“ Did you check everywhere? “ Liv asked
“ Of course I did, I looked every single corner but didn’t find a hint of him “
“ Wait, there is one room that was locked, I couldn’t open the door, “ Nora said
“ Which room “
“ Come with me, I will show you, “ she said
We rushed to the room, immediately we got there Lyon tried to break the lock but unfortunately, he couldn’t
“ I will get something to break the lock,“ he said
“ Wait, there is no use in breaking the lock, I don’t think Mick is inside anyways “
“ How are you sure Mick isn’t in there “
“ Just look at the lock, it looks old it's like the door has been locked for many years “
“ She’s right, the lock is antique and it kinda looks rustic, “ Liv said
“ This just doesn’t make sense, why will someone kidnap Mick and if Mike was kidnapped we should have at least got a call from the kidnapper by now “
“ You’re right “
“ That’s not the important question, No one knows Mick was left behind expect from us, and this house is isolated from the city and very hard to locate then how did the kidnapper find out that Mick was left behind, “ Nora said
“ That’s true, I think it’s best we call Melody and tell her about the situation here, “ Lyon said before he brought out his phone and dialed her number.
“ She’s not answering the call, “ he said immediately call cut off
“ Call her again “
He tried calling the number again but it wasn’t reachable
“ Damm it, her number is always unreachable “ he yelled
“ It might be network issues, you should try calling her later “ Nora uttered
“ Damm! It’s not network fault “ Lyon yelled
“ Babe you need to calm down, you’re yelling “
“ I just can’t handle the stress, what if we don’t find him “
“ We will babe, “
“ Yeah, we just need to take a deep breath, calm down and then talk about this in the morning perhaps the kidnapper might call us by then, “ I said
“ Sleep, are you serious? We have a missing friend “ Lyon said
“ I know but what are we gonna do right now, Melody isn’t answering her calls and we have no evidence that it’s a kidnap case “
“ If this is a kidnap case then we aren’t safe in this house “ Liv mumbled
“ We should lock all doors and windows, there should be no way in or out “ Nora uttered
“ You’re right but we also need to sleep at least before the kidnapper calls”
“ You guys get some sleep while I lock the doors, “ Lyon said
“ It’s going to be fine, don’t worry we will find him “ he whispered before he hugged Liv
“ I’m in the living room in case you need me, “ he said immediately after he released her from the hug
“ Lyon, you need to sleep “
“ I can’t, after all this, I have to make sure we’re all safe. Lock the door immediately after you enter the room “ he said before he walked away
I don’t think Lyon is the only one that will find it difficult to sleep, but we all have no choice because wandering around the house and calling out Mick’s name isn’t helping.
“ Lyon seems to be extremely stressed and worried, “ Nora said as we walked into the room
“ We all are, we have a missing friend in an environment we barely know “
“ Yeah but that’s not what’s bothering Lyon “
“ Wait, what do you mean by that “
“ Lyon’s parent's incident was exactly like this. One night Lyon went out with his friends and when he came back home, his parents were missing. He searched everywhere for them, he called the cops and told them about the incident. “
She sighed before she continued speaking
“ One week later, their dead body was found in an abandoned house “
“ I had no idea about this, I can’t imagine how he is feeling right now “ I whispered
“ He’s terrified, he doesn’t want to lose Mick like he lost his parents “
“ I can’t believe all this happened to Lyon” Nora muttered
“ Liv, I think you should go stay with him, He might need someone to talk to “
“ No, I know Lyon he needs some time alone, don’t worry about him, he’s fine “
After the conversation, I lay down on the bed and closed my eyes, I don’t know what will happen or what has happened to Mick. I just pray he comes back safe and sound.
