I shifted from one foot to another restlessly, my eyes blurring a few times. I'm really tired and hungry yet I can't do anything about it. The Prince is currently training with some other warriors, he doesn't seem to get tired at all. I yawned for the umpteenth time moving my hair off my face. I let out a tired sign and dropped to the ground, sitting on it. I can't keep up with standing, it's draining the little energy I have left in me. While sitting on the floor and watching the prince train with so much vigor, my mind traveled back to the scene at the Prince's room. I really can't say what pushed me to talk back to that princess but I had to do it, she's definitely one of those spoiled brat princesses. I mean, she's seeing me for the first time and the next thing she does is insult me while I'm standing. I've never met her before, talk more of having a misunderstanding with her, I don't know what's really wrong with her. And besides, I seriously can't believe she's feeling so proud because she's getting married to Prince Luciano. I mean, if it were me I would definitely be zero percent excited. How would I feel so proud getting married to a stone cold man? Someone who doesn't understand human feelings. Where's the joy in that? I still don't understand what's wrong with her. I breathed out a sign of relief when the prince suddenly turned back and began walking towards me. I guess he's done for the day. I stood up from the floor quickly and dust my dress waiting for him. He placed the sword into the sheath on his waist and grabbed the bag he came with. I stretched to grab it but froze mid-air when he picked it up and walked away, carrying it. What the hell just happened? I blinked my eyes repeated in shock and suprise staring at his retreating figure. I shook my head repeatedly, gaining back my subconsciousness before scurrying off to meet him. He walked gracefully into the castle while I managed to keep walking from how hard I was hungry. "Tell Madam Helen to prepare my meal." He suddenly said to a maid passing by. She quickly bowed her head before rushing off to the kitchen. We climbed up the stairs, heading to his room. On reaching there, he dropped the bag and took some clothes out of his wardrobe and walked into the bathroom. Seriously, things are getting stranger. First, he carried the bag all the way from the field to the room himself. Now, he left for the bathroom to have his bath himself without even telling me to prepare it. What the hell is going on with this prince? Few minutes later a knock came on the door, a maid on the other side announcing the arrival of his meal. I guess Madam Helen had cooked that before he asked. I walked to the door, opened it and collected the big tray of food from her. I walked into the room and dropped it on the table, the sweet scent of the food finding its way through nostrils making my stomach grumble loud. As I moved back to return to where I was previously standing, the door to the bathroom creaked open and the prince stepped out fully dressed in casual wear. He took one glance at me before walking around the table to sit on the chair. "Sit." He suddenly spoke. "Huh?" I furrowed my brows at him in confusion. "I said come take a seat." He groaned out like he was forced to. I walked timidly to the table and took a seat opposite him, keeping my hands on my laps. He opened the food and dished out some on a plate and began eating. He stared up at me in disbelief before letting out a sign. "Come on, eat." My mind suddenly screamed in shock. Is he really asking me to eat with him? on the same table? With a royal plate? Oh gods, this is too much. I dished out little food on the plate to begin eating. I'm really hungry but I just don't want to like a... Ugh! He stared up at me again with disbelief obvious in his eyes before letting out a frustrated sign and grabbed my plates adding enough food to it before pushing it back to me. I muttered a thank you before digging into the food. Dear gods! When was the last time I ate a food this sweet and nutritious. Without any further thoughts, I dug fast into the food at how hungry I was. About three minutes later, I paused, my hand in the air with a food filled spoon. I stared up to see the prince staring at me in surprise and something else I can decipher. My eyes widened in horror on their own while I tried to hurriedly swallow the food in my mouth. I'm sure I definitely look like a mess right now, cause my mouth was really full with food making it hard for me to swallow, Prince Luciano staring at me with a smirk on his face, like he's mocking me. After a few seconds of trying to chew and swallow the food in my mouth, I was successful swallowing the last piece into my mouth when I suddenly choked on it. I couldn't help the coughs that burst out of my throat, thankfully the prince stood up and handed me a cup of water. I hurriedly gulped the entire content down my throat before muttering a thank you. The prince quirked an eyebrow at me before he began digging into his own food, a smile appearing on his face and disappearing immediately it came. What? Did he just smile? Things are really getting strange. I took my spoon and began eating slowly this time. I wouldn't like to embarrass myself again in front of the prince. Never! * * Sabrina sniffed harder this time, cleaning the tears off her face. "You can't believe it, mother. He scolded me right in front of his maid. Oh god mother, you can't imagine how I felt." Sabrina cried to the Queen. She's currently at the Queen's room narrating what Luciano did to her. "Why would he do that? I just wanted to slap her for talking back at me but he... He supported her mother! He took sides for her." "It's okay darling." The Queen rubbed her hair trying to calm her down. "Don't cry anymore okay?" "Why shouldn't I?" "Because I have a plan." Sabrina stared at the Queen curiously, "you.. you have a plan?" "Yes darling, I always have a plan." She bent down a little and whispered something to Sabrina's ear. Sabrina stood up from the Queen's lap immediately, and cleaned all the tears off her face. "That's good." She commented before letting out a smirk. * * Nikolai lay on his bed staring up at the ceiling like it's the most interesting thing ever. He kept on smiling from time to time as his mind wandered off to the slave maiden, Gwen. He still can't get his mind off her, her beauty, shy smile, everything about her just amazes him. He can't wait to see her again. He suddenly sat up on the bed when an idea popped into his head. What if he goes to see her? But, she'd definitely be busy, working around the palace and he'll hardly see her. He smiled when another idea popped into his head. He can just ask a few other slave about her whereabouts and wait for her in a corner, just like how he coincidentally saw her today. Nikolai nodded his head slowly at his wonderful idea. That's it, he would definitely do that. He plopped back on the bed and stared at the ceiling with a wide smile on his face, before drifting off to wonderland.
