Chapter 60
Eleanor was shocked to the bones, as this was the most unusual thing ever. Nevertheless, she wrapped her hands around her, accepting the hug. “I know I would definitely look like a coward, but I’m sorry.” Ariel said after disengaging from the hug.
“Ermm… I..” They all turned to the door when they had noises, a loud voice yelling. “Let go of me!! You bitch!” Gwen could be seen; effortlessly dragging Sabrina into the room then throwing her to the floor.”
She stopped yelling and looked around the room, seeing all eyes on her. “Luciano, no, no.” Eleanor rushed to him, holding him back when he rushed to Sabrina, with rage in his eyes. “Let her be.” Thankfully, he stopped struggling against her, he looked around the room last time before storming out.
“Nikolai?” Ariel called, finally noticing him at the corner of the room. He raised his hand, motioning her to stop as she walked towards him. Then with the help of a guard, he left the room, Gwen also rushing to follow him.
“Where are you now?” Eleanor crossed her arms, staring down at Sabrina with a plain look.
“Huh?” Sabrina stood up from the ground, looking quite confused.
“After everything you did, where are you now?” Sabrina looked down at feet, unable to keep eye contact with her, she must definitely be feeling so ashamed.
Eleanor scoffed and rolled her eyes, then without another word she walked out of the throne room.
“Sabrina.” Ariel called and moved forward, keeping a reasonable distance between them. “Get your things prepared, a message will be sent to your father to come pick you up.” She said with her held up high. “You are no longer welcome here, traitor.” With that said she walked out of the throne room, leaving a weeping Sabrina.

*For weeks later*
“Can I have at least just a little rest?” Eleanor groaned tiredly, plopping down on the bed. Her feet felt heavy and her waist was starting to hurt. It hasn’t been easy taking lessons on how to act like a royal, walk, stand and speak like them. “Besides, I’m so hungry right now.” She rubbed her hand over her growling stomach.
“Sure, we’ll continue by evening. See you later.” The lady quite other than her who was employed to give her those lessons was definitely a tough one. She hardly even let her take a break. She heaved out a heavy sigh of relief when she exited the room. She stared up at the ceiling, letting her mind wander away.
A month has passed after those ugly incidents and she must say, it’s been the best ever. Starting with the fact, her people finally gained freedom. Yes! The king ordered their freedom. It was revealed that all was a misunderstanding and King Conrad had been innocent. Shockingly, Elliot killed Eagan and made King Axel believe otherwise. But all that matters was the fact that they were free again. They lived normal happy lives again; they weren’t under so much labor. It made her happy to see the children in neat clothing, their face full of smiles again.
Another most surprising part is that they chose her their queen. Yes, they weren’t under Cordenia, now they had their village again, though all in the same kingdom. They could only be joined with Cordenia as one when she gets married to Luciano. Yes, another great news. She’d be getting married to Luciano in a few days.
Finally, his parents accepted, they had no choice but to. She still finds it weird seeing the queen all smiley with her. But she’d get used to it anyway.
Well, to the relief of anyone, Sabrina’s father arrived the next day to take her away. She could see the disappointment in his eyes. He felt so ashamed at what his daughter did. Before they left, Sabrina was forced by the queen to apologize to her which she did before finally leaving. Then Elliot was buried, Eleanor knew his death hurt the king so much but no one could regret it, he’d have killed them if they hadn’t.
So, the castle was finally at peace again, no threats, just a happy life, all anticipating for the big day which would come in just a few days.
Eleanor closed her eyes, heaving out a deep sigh, her eyelids felt heavy and she knew she’d sleep very soon. With a smile on her face, she gave in to the sleep threatening to envelope, so peaceful.

*Two days later*
Eleanor sat back on the chair near the dressing table as the maid did some finishing touches of make up on her face.
In a few minutes, they were done, leaving her to stare at her image in the mirror. Her lips stretched in a smile as she stared at herself. To be honest, she never knew she could ever look so beautiful. She ran her fingers over her neck to her shoulders, over the lace of the off shoulder straps of the white ball gown she wore. Her auburn hair was tied in a plaited bun at the back of her hair with two curly strands falling at each side of her face.
She blinked repeatedly, feeling her eyes water. “Heyyy..” She felt Gwen’s hand on her shoulder. “Don’t go all emotional now; you’d ruin your makeup.” She chuckled, trying as much to stop the tears.
“Here, I’ll help you with your shoes.” Gwen picked up the silver shoes, helping her put it on. “There you are.” She stood up with a smile. “Let’s go, you don’t want to be late huh.”
Eleanor nodded and stood up from the chair, she looked at herself in the mirror one last time before walking out of the room together with her.
Literally the entire kingdom attended their wedding; even kings from other kingdoms came to witness it. Most importantly she was happy she had Gwen by her side all throughout, since she had no family, she chose to stand by her. And Luciano? He was dressed in a white prince suit, his hair gelled back stylishly.
The wedding commenced well like it should be and while the king was giving a speech, they heard noises outside, just before the door when open and a figure stepped, Eleanor stared in surprise to see Nalia standing at the door, but when she saw another familiar figure behind her, her heart stopped racing and she removed her hand from Luciano’s, her lips quivering as she stared into the eyes of the person she thought she’d never see again. Her eyes watered and she walked down the podium slowly, with gaze fixed on her and in a small shaky voice, she whispered. “Mother.”Download Novelah App
