Epilogue

*Eight years later*
"Mother, I have it all ready!! Take a look!" I looked to the door to see Alex, my four years old son, trying to pull a big bag into my room.
"Alex seriously?" I chuckled and walked to him, collecting the bag from him. "This is way bigger than you, you should've left it for me." I patted his head, leaning down to plant a kiss on his hair.
"But I'm so powerful and strong!" He raised his hands up, clenching his fists tightly. "Father said so."
"Yes, you're so strong but this is way bigger than you." I still replied nonetheless. "Where is your sister?" I asked, trying to stop him from starting an argument again.
"Erm, I..I think I left her in the room." He placed his hands under jaw, pretending to be thinking about something.
"Alex." I folded my arms, raising my brows at him. "How many times do I have to tell you to watch over your sister?"
"Ermm, I don't know. How am I supposed to remember how many times but I can guess twenty seven, yes!" He raised his small fingers at me.
"Come on, go bring your sister."
"Fine." He folded his arms and turned around to leave just when she was walking into the room.
"She's here already mom, see? I don't have to follow her around. Right Jasmine?"
She ignored him and walked to me, hugging my legs. "Mama." Her tiny voice called as she stretched out her hands to me, obviously requesting I carry her.
"Hey." I took her in my arms, planting a kiss on her cheek. Jasmine looked just like me, Auburn hair and brown hazel eyes. She was a rare beauty with bright eyes.
"Come on, let's get ready. Take the mat Alex." I said and picked up the basket, walking out of the room, down the stairs to the garden. We planned a picnic today in the garden, just the four of us. I mean Luciano, our kids and I.
"Where is father?" Jasmine asked in a low voice looking around the garden as she sat on the mat.
"He'll be here soon." I tried to reassure her, ruffling her hair. Jasmine was one gentle soul if you'd ask me. And she loved her father very much, she could be with him all day, she prefers he put her to sleep. She could spend the entire day in his arms alone. She hardly plays, only if it involves her father.
"Gem." She scurried away from my arms when she heard his familiar voice. Well, Luciano decided to call her that. He said he loved it whenever my mom called me, so he decided to use it on her. And just like a spell, Jasmine began chattering away. Whenever she's with Luciano she talks a lot, though he hardly listens to her. It's quite hard, hearing every one of her words since she was just two years old.
"I missed you." She held her jaw, pulling him to look at her.
"Oh, I missed you too, Jem." He sat down on the mat beside me, leaning closer to plant a kiss on my lips.
"How're you?" He never fails to ask that question, no matter how busy or tired he might be, he always made sure to know how I was.
"Good." I gave him a short reply, with a smile on my face as I arranged food and drink on the mat.
"Father! Father! You said you were going to cut me some flowers." She folded her arms, pouting her lips. "Okay! Let's go." He stood up, holding her in his arms.
"Alex." He ruffled his hair, tickling him by his waist. "Let's go cut some flowers huh?"
"No." Alex replied as I tried to stop laughing. "I'm not a girl, I don't like flowers, I want a sword." He frowned suddenly, folding his arms angrily.
"You're too young for that Alex." I said to him, giving him a warm smile.
"When would I ever get old enough to have a sword?"
"Don't worry the time will come." I got closer to him, arranging his ruffled hair.
"I'm four, I'm old enough to have a sword."
"No, you're just old enough to play with harmless things." I leaned closer, planting a kiss on his cheek. "Why don't you go and cut me some flowers huh, while I arranged all these." I said referring to the mat and basket filled with food.
"Okay!" He smiled and stood up, rushing deeper into the garden. I smiled, watching as he ran.
Each time I remembered everything that happened in the past years, I feel so accomplished and happy. Who would've thought my life would change and I will be Queen. I never regretted being enslaved anymore, I understood well that everything happens for a reason, I was enslaved for a purpose. If this had never happened, I'd have probably remained in Narva and would never meet Luciano.
I was a slave then became a Queen, earned so much respect from the same people who hated and scorned me. After our marriage, Narva was merged with Cordey and now we live as one. Living happily like nothing happened. I can never be more happy.
Gwen got married to Nikolai a year after my marriage and I was by her side just like she was on my day. She has just a daughter now, who looked just like her.
Everything I wished for came true, happiness for every one of the people of Narva.
"Mother! I got you flowers." I looked up to see my children running to me, smiling widely with flowers in their hands.
"Awwn, thank you so much." I hugged them, giving them a kiss each. "Come on, who's hungry?!!" They gathered around the mat, clasping their hands excitedly.
"Me!" Jasmine giggled, raising her hands. Luciano walked to us and sat on the mat beside me, watching as I served them food. I felt his arms around, pulling me closer to him. I smiled widely and turned back to watch the children as they ate. They are all I ever wanted or wished for. I leaned my head against his shoulders and took in a deep breath, my eyes fixed on them as they ate, giggling excitedly. They were my source of happiness, now I feel relieved, happy that everything is fine and will forever be.
