*The next day* Luciano had woken up a few hours ago and after taking his bath, he sat on his bed, resting back against the headboard, staring into space. He was sad, and hurt. Also angry at himself. Angry at himself for not fulfilling all the promises he made to her. He brought into this mess, assured her that he would protect her, but what did he do? Absolutely nothing. Instead he got her killed. He can’t count how many times she had tried to play safe, even tried to bury the feelings she had for him. It seemed like she was the one with bigger brains here, trying as much as possible not to get into any trouble while he? He kept dragging into it over and over again. Making stupid promises to keep her safe, forcing her into a dangerous relationship when he knew well it wasn’t good for her. She trusted him, believing everything would be fine just like he said. She was positive and had no doubt, putting all hopes on a stupid person like him. Even when it got worse and all he had to do was renounce his love for her, or pretend to, he chose not to. Chose to put her in the worst danger ever. Now she’s gone, his empty promises all a waste. He can’t imagine the look on her face before she was executed, she must’ve felt disappointed. Must’ve hated him for bringing her into this. He regrets his every action, right from the beginning. From choosing her as his personal slave to everything that had happened. Countless times she tried to reject him, why did he not leave her, seeing she was not interested. Now he failed. He’s definitely a part of her killing, because if he hasn’t been so persistent, she’d have been alive. This wasn’t a fairytale after all, this is real life. This is life being totally cruel and unfair to her. Luciano ran his palm over his face, exhaling heavily. He looked over to the door when a knock came on it. Uninterested in seeing anyone, he looked away, averting his gaze to the window. The door clicked open slowly and he looked to see Sabrina stepping into the room. “I didn’t give you the permission to come in, Leave now.” He spoke in a deep cold voice, taking his eyes back to the window. “I came to check on you Luciano.” She acted like she didn’t hear him or rather chose to ignore. “I don’t care, Leave.” “I know times like this would be very hard for you, I understand well, Luciano. I know just how you feel.” She spoke, a sad sympathetic smile on her face. Luciano turned to look at her and scoffed with brows quirked. “What do you understand, Sabrina. You know what? There’s no point trying to pretend, you must be very happy now. After all this has been what you wanted. So just leave and keep your fake sympathy to yourself.” “Luciano.. I would never wish such on anyone.” She placed her hands on her chest, faking to look hurt. “Get out Sabrina, if you can pretend to a lot of people, you know that would never work on me.” “Luciano, I’m just going to ignore these hurtful words and false accusations, but just know I mean no harm to you or anyone else and every of my actions are sincere.” “Yes, yes, even the times you tried to kill her, your actions were just being sincere.” Sabrina went speechless realizing he got her. “Those times were just bad times and I apologize for them.” “Sabrina, leave.” Luciano ordered, having zero tolerance for her. “Luciano, we can make a good start now, I can help you he…” Luciano stood up from the bed and moved to her swiftly, grabbing her hair roughly. “I SAID LEAVE!!!!” He roared and shoved her away really hard, her back slamming against the door. Sabrina shivered in fear as she tried to gain her footing. Without waiting another second she turned around and scurried out of the room, visibly shaking in fear. * Eleanor walked out of the small kitchen into the living room. “Hiiiiii!!!!” She flinched when she heard a loud squeal behind her. “Nalia.” She called in surprise and placed her hand on her chest, heaving out a sigh of relief. “When did you get here?” “Well a few minutes ago.” Nalia replied, letting out small giggles. “Ohh.” Was all Eleanor could mutter. She must've been so lost in thoughts she didn’t hear the door open. Well, she couldn’t help but worry about Luciano, he has been the only thing on her mind since yesterday. “Hello.” She was drawn out of her thoughts when Nalia waved her palm over her face. “Oh hey sorry.” She apologized knowing she must’ve been talking while she got lost in her thoughts again. “Sorry, what were you saying?” “I was talking about how unfocused you usually are, lost in thoughts and zoning out just like you just did.” She replied, rushing her words very fast. She heaved out a deep breath, a look of concern clouding her face before she asked. “Are you okay?” As much as Eleanor wanted to lie to her everything was perfect like it seemed, she couldn’t keep it in. Her eyes watered immediately and she averted her gaze from her, looking everywhere but her face. Nalia, sensing something was definitely wrong, wrapped her arms around her affectionately, whispering soothing words to her ears. They moved to the chair sitting on it, it didn’t take long before Eleanor began speaking, explaining everything to her, not leaving a single detail out. “So you’re actually on a run.” Was the first reply Nalia gave a few seconds after Eleanor had finished narrating everything to her. “I’m sorry.” She apologized immediately she realized that was definitely not a good response. “It’s okay, everything will be fine okay?” Nalia rubbed her shoulders affectionately. “You don’t have to worry, this sure is a fairytale.” She paused and flashed her a warm smile before adding. “And all fairytales have happy endings.” * *One week later* Gwen would never say this has been one of the best weeks ever, it was the worst. Definitely worse than ever. Starting with Luciano, he has turned into a vile angry man. Just like he used to be before, cold hearted and scary. He became what the people call him before, a heartless prince and even worse. Now Gwen feared him more than ever. She even heard his parents were so worried about him, she confirmed from a few nice maids that he has never been this way and it worried them so much. Worst of all, he killed two guards just in the last few days. The maids began avoiding going to his room and she was also among them. She made sure she was busy with something so she could escape working in the kitchen. Even though she knew well why this was happening to him. It was because they made him think Eleanor was dead. She knew something had to be done, else he might go insane or probably turn to a human beast. Forgetting how dangerous it might be, Gwen made a decision to do something about it, because she knew for sure he wasn’t the only one affected, Eleanor would be.
