Chapter 58

“Surprised?” Sabrina burst out laughing out loud hysterically. “Oh my god, I never imagined how the look on your face would be, but trust it definitely worth it, and I'll do this over and over again just to see this look again.” Ariel shook her head in disbelief as she burst out laughing again.
“Elliot, what is this?” He never thought he could ever do something like this. Hell! They were brothers and this is definitely the most shocking thing that has ever happened to him.
“It is what it is Axel.” Elliot answered with an evil smirk on his face. “Oh, I forgot you might be so dumb to realise all that is going, so I’m going to spare a littlle of my time and do the explanation.”
He nodded at one of the attackers, or rather his secret soldiers and he left immediately, returning with two chairs which Elliot and Sabrina sat on respectively. “Okay, here we go. Storytime.” Elliot rubbed his palm together, faking enthusiasm. “First of all Axel, I’d love to say you have been so stupid and really insensitive.” He paused, as if waiting for his words to sink into his head. “I have always hated you right from childhood, never hid it, literally everyone knew I never liked you, but you? You never knew, you’re just dumb, always trying to be good to everyone, unsuspecting.”
“Nothing could be done to stop the hatred, it only grew stronger seeing father loved you more than he did to me.”
“That’s a lie Elliot, father loved us equally.”
“Well, how would you know? When you get showered by love all the time, you never get to know what it feels like to be neglected. You know when I decided something had to be done?” He paused and soffed, shaking his head. “When the kingdom was passed down to you, while I got absolutely nothing.”
“You were one reckless child Elliot, father couldn’t risk giving the kingdom to you.” Even though he was actually at his mercy, he would never subject to him. He would say whatever it is on his mind. “Besides, I’m the first child and you know what that means.”
“I’m fit for that throne Axel, I was the one with bigger brains.” Elliot spoke through gritted teeth. “But father chose you instead, then I became clueless of what to do, just watching you rule with father by your side. You have no idea how long I waited, Axel, trying to come up with a good plan. Then I found it.” His lips curved into a side grin, his eyes held so much mischievousness. “It was a good one and a perfect way to break you. Your son, Eagan.” Color drained from Axel’s face immediately and his heart began thumping fast against his chest.
“There again, you proved to be dumped. Easily believe Conrad killed your son, Eagan which resulted in you killing your innocent friend and also a large number of people.”
“Elliot, no, no, no. No, you didn’t!” Axel flared up and stood up from the ground only to be pushed back down roughly by one of the soldiers.
“Yes brother, Conrad didn’t. I did, I killed him, myself.” Elliot revealed, faking a sympathetic look as Ariel buried her face into palms, already sobbing. “I killed him and made you believe he did, and there again, without any further investigation, you launched an attack on them, killing him and his pregnant queen.”
“Did you even think why he'd ever do such a thing when there was no dispute between the both of you? No. Because you believe everything I said was true. You trusted me so much and that is your worst mistake.” Axel closed his eyes in sheer disappointment.
“Now you might be wondering where Sabrina came in, you see, I needed an accomplice and it wasn’t so hard convincing her since she never liked you in the first place. Luckily, you took all my advises and she got here and trust me she was perfect at acting, you didn’t suspect a thing.”
“Axel, everything I ever advised you to do were just my plans, which you always heed to, because you failed to respect your son’s decision. You failed as a father. But that’s none of my business anyway, my plans would surely commence.” He paused and smiled widely at them, taking Sabrina’s hands into his, planting a soft kiss at the back of her palm. “So, for the meantime, enjoy your stay in the dungeon, while I rule the kingdom like it should be and you watch till I decide what to do with you.”
“You would never get away with this Elliot! You would pay!” Axel yelled as he was dragged out of the room to the basement.
“Empty threats.” Sabrina giggled and moved closer to Elliot, locking her lips with his, in a kiss.

*A few hours later.*
“I arranged a horse for you already, you need to leave fast.” Madam Helen said to Killian, looking around to make sure no one was spying on them. She put her hands into her pocket, bringing out a map. “You have to get to the princes in time and warn them about this.”
“Yes.” He replied, giving her a quick nod.
“Come on go, you must not be caught.” She urged and watched as left, as soon as he was out of sight, she stared around one last time before heading back to the castle.

The next day, shocking news arrived to them in Daekhram. The previous day, they were quite happy about being together and the worst news arrived.
“I always knew that man was up to no good.” Nikolai sneered as they all sat in the living room, all lost in thought.
“Luciano.” Elenor turned to him, placing her palm over his. She understands how he might be feeling now, though his parents weren’t the best, he had no choice but to save them. Yes, they caused a lot of problems for him, they were still his parents and sure needed his help now. “You know you have to save them.” She squeezed his palm gently, trying to comfort him.
“I know that Elly.” As much as he wanted them to suffer a little, he knew that wouldn’t be a nice choice, considering what sort of a man Elliot can be. He really wouldn’t want him hurting or torturing them. “So what do we do? We need armies.” That was definitely one problem they had. They can’t possibly defeat Elliot now, they needed a good plan and most importantly, armies.
“Yeah, for sure.” Nikolai spoke, agreeing with him.
“Ermm…I..” Nalia looked around the room nervously as if afraid to speak.
“Come on, you can speak Nalia.” Eleanor spoke, flashing her a warm smile.
She breathed out a deep sigh and rubbed her pam together before speaking. “I think I have n idea”

Elliot stood in the balcony of the throne room, a cup of wine in his hands as he stared around the castle and village. For the time in his entire life, he felt accomplished. Everything he ever wished for was his now, the castle, the entire kingdom. He would not have to sit back and watch his brother rule anymore, now he rules.
“Hey.” He looked back when he heard a familiar voice behind him. “I see you’re enjoying the view here,” She walked closer to him, planting a small kiss on his lips.
“You have no idea Sabrina.” He replied with a wide smile.
“So what’re you going to do next?”
“Huh?”
“We still have Luciano and the rest to take down.” She rolled her eyes, showing her displeasure. “They will be here soon, you know news spread like a wildfire, they must’ve heard.”
“Yes, and they’ll definitely want to go all hero, but that’s not a problem Sabrina.” Elliot said reassuringly and with a devious smirk he added. “I would end them, right when they step foot into this kingdom.”
