Early in the morning, Dylan woke before every other person. He couldn’t sleep because he didn’t find it necessary when they are gradually perishing in a wilderness.
“Guys wake up!” Dylan hitting the nearest person. He sighted something down the bush. Though It wasn’t clear so they have to go and find out.
“See where we slept and we did not notice anything. What if we were attacked?”
They got up, took their belongings and headed the direction. The closer they got the clearer the view. The first thing on sight is what looks like a gazebo. They increased their speed happily finding their way to the place.
“Stop!” Dylan said on seeing few men comfortably standing barely clothed.
“Those are the savages. This is how they looked” Zack confirmed.
“They are not many, I think five. Let’s go and knock them down” Bond said making everyone turned to him with a shock. They didn’t believe him, maybe he didn’t mean so and to be sure he knows what he said they told him to lead the way which he did without a word. They followed in disbelief. They anticipated him to suddenly turn around.
“Is it not better we go our way? What are we going there for?” Nazi said.
“Well, I think they have already seen us. So we will pass, wave at them. If they didn’t attack us we will not fight them” Dylan Said.
“We don’t intend to fight them. We only want to know what Bond wants to do” Zack whispered to Dylan.
Before Zack would finish talking to Dylan the savages saw them and were coming after them. Surprising thing is that Bond ran towards them. They were surprise but it was a motivational move he made. They asked the girls to stay behind as they go so that the savages don’t hurt them.
Bond knocked the first person that attacked him. Everyone was shocked. They were happy and strengthened. They fought very well and defeated them all except the one that went up to catch the girls. They began shouting, telling the girls to run for they know that seizing them will be their weak point but the girls stood still waiting for the tattooed being. The boys became weak and lost hope. When the savage got close the girls fought him skillfully like ninjas and dropped him down in pains. The boys were highly marveled. The girls were praised and made to feel special. Not long the savage who could get up found their ways into the forest.
“I hear something. A voice” Nazi informed. They all became quiet and paid attention. The voice sounded again.
“It’s in the bamboo house” They confirmed and went to check, asking who was there.
Getting inside the gazebo they saw Rickie sitting on the ground, tied to a pole. Dylan’s happiness knows no bounds. He felt the sweetest relief ever. He ran to him and hugged him tightly forgetting to untie him. It was Mata and Nazi that did the untying.
“What happened?” Dylan asked.
“That day, as we were pursuing those antelopes I slipped and fell hitting my head on a stone then I fainted. I recovered my consciousness in the night. I didn’t know what time it was exactly. I didn’t have a watch or a Torchlight. I couldn’t see anything not even myself. I called your names but no one answered me. I tried to move forgetting that I am still in the bush. I was bumping at things, so in other not to hurt myself I sat on the ground filled with fear, the kind I’ve never felt befall. Insects bit me, cold dealt with me. In fact it was worse than hell. That was how I continued wandering alone day and night till yesterday this things caught me and tied me up here, starving me”
Everyone was quiet. Dylan and the rest felt so much pity for him.
“Anyone with food?”
“No. We too are hungry” Bond said sharply.
“Then we will enter their village, I’m sure we will find something there. Their settlements is just after those mighty trees” Rickie said pointing at a particular direction.
“Do they eat humans?” Mata asked.
“I don’t know what they feed on” Rickie replied weakly. This answer made some panic.
“How do you know all these?”
“They walked me round the village yesterday”
“Let’s leave this place because those things that ran off will surely report us” Zack said.
“Right. Let’s go, guys. Hurry up”
